  • Replace your recoil springs and you shouldn't have an ejection problem anymore. By the way do you know of anyone that would want to get rid of any K43 magazines? I need 1 or 2.

  • koolz

  • Make sure you get Apfeltor's shooter kit before anything, the gas system on the K43 and G43 tapped to much muzzle gas and made the bolt parts likely to fly into your face from stress of excess muzzle gas. You probably have holes drilled into the gas chamber, but you should still consider getting the kit so you don't singlehandedly destroy a 2000 USD gun.

  • do these things kick alot?

  • no. much less than an m1 garand.

  • beautiful noise.

  • These guns are awesome. Their construction, specifically the removable recoil system and bolt, is pretty damned cool. I just picked one up at a local gun show for 1K (thats a steal these days). G43 AC44. Gonna shoot it first time tomorrow with my grandpa, who was a Polish partisan during the war.

  • @demontrooper I was able to get my G43 in1995 for $350 w/ 2 mags. I thought I made out good.

  • @themanroom126 How'd you manage to do that? Local gun show?

  • @themanroom126 No, a guy that was collecting WW2 era rifles was getting out of it. He was getting into the 60's "muscle cars" and was selling off his collection to help pay for a car. I knew him from gun shows, gun club etc.. When he decided to sell it, he called and asked me first. He said he was going to sell it for what he paid for it. I decided to get the G-43 over a Winchester M1 Garand also on the block. The G-43 has the "bakelight" handguard, redish in color and a laminated stock.
