What you think for being industrial music is IDM or EBM, something that evolved from industrial. But SAM is not industrial even so it evolved from it. As it's the same with us, we are humans and not something that lived 50.000 years before. XD

THIS should be the modern sound of industrial. SOMAN, X-RX, S.A.M, Shnarph! etc.

Why? Simple. You go to a club and you want to dance. If you want "culture" value try Bach or Beethoven. If you want exstatic/hyper/joyful/hard dancing then you need specific sounds. Not mild/gray area boring sounds like old school industrial/EBM. If you want "musical" quality from industrial try ambient industrial, and IDM bands. Like Gridlock,Beefcake,Access to Arasaka,Aphex Twin,Autechre etc :) :)

Today there is nothing to be called industrial anymore. What was once the spirit behind the industrial scene is long gone. Even bands like KMFDM no longer produce industrial sounds. What's dead is dead. Today there is some new electronic scene that mixing hardcore and hardstyle, but without an own name yet to be given. Good luck.

The more you change the details, the more you change the things as they are. True music is changing directions and tones as time flows by, but that implies that certain kind of music styles just vanish as others (new) appear. Techno is another example, it doesn't exist anymore. Now we have 'Electro'.

SAM has no real lyrics, you cant compare it to a darkelectro band, and that hard/fast/etc style is their own style, they release this type of musice since 2006, before x-rx, extize, and all those "cyber-ish" bands kicked in wich lead in the rising of what you call raver kids. Many of those new bands just learned how to use FL Studio & their sound is cheap, but even in their first release SAM had its unique style. Also they dont wear anything cyber. Shuffling to industrial? okey that IS pathetic!
