bigger doesen't always mean better, because once bigger prey dies out then so will the bigger carnivores, and i feel so sorry for ligers they shouldn't have mated a lion with a tiger, think how heavy its going to be when its gets older later in life it mightn't be able to walk because of its weight and to much weight on the legs they might look cute but that animal could suffer in the future and will have to be put down even though it could have been avoided by not mixing the species

Lions are taller and longer. The Tiger averages about 50 pounds heavier.. Tigers are more compact and muscular. And a Tiger's K9's are 4 inches in length to the Lions 3 inches. A Tigers jaw pressure is 1000psi average to the Lions 600psi average.

It just depends on how you define 'bigger' I guess. But a Lion and Tiger hybrid (Liger) is the biggest cat now, but they cannot breed.
