  • i saw it a few days ago. i thought it was ok.

  • i love how the guy says "EATEN ALIVE!!" at 0:15

  • This is one of the best horror films ever.

  • Marilyn Burns IS HOT! But Isn't it kinda weird that once again she's wearing a gag in a Tobe Hooper film.

  • grandissimo film !!!

  • Awesome movie.

  • A lot of people give this movie a hard time but it was pretty fun over all. Tobe Hooper usually takes a brutal beating these days. And Nevil Brand is always great when he is over the top.

  • true story.

  • Love seeing a, young, Robert Englund in this film! Janus Blythe was HOT!

This film is so campy, and cheesy, but dammit, it's so AWESOME!

The hotel owner is my hero! LOL!

Poor Marilyn Burns, first she gets tied up and chased by a maniac, wielding a chainsaw in TCM, and now she gets tied to a bed by some lunatic hotel owner.

Poor girl can't catch a break LMAO!

  • @GialloHorror Thanks for watching, GialloHorror! Yeah, Marilyn always has bad luck in movies lol. Some Robert Englund news: Englund will be voicing a character in the forthcoming Green Lantern Animated Series.

  • I remember watching this movie with the squad on IFC. Its more of a good to make fun of type movie. Great stuff Johnny Horror

  • man I gotta find this dvd! TexasKev

  • I HAD 2 COPIES.

  • You got to love it!

  • thxx,4 subing me.....you got good teste in horror

  • @monstercut1 Thank you, man

  • This begs for a Reboot.

  • All i know about this movie is it apparently had sharks, and Robert Englund playing a guy named Buck. I've scoured the earth for it within a 10 mile radius of where i live ad can't find it. Time to start expanding me search...

  • actually it's not sharks its a big crocodile or alligator

  • so is this about the guy with the scythe being a cannibal, or the guy feeding people to the crocodile.

  • @pirate59315 The latter.

  • @pirate59315 Its about a mentally ill man who has a psychotic breakdown one night and starts attacking the guests in his motel, then feeding them still alive to his crocodile.

  • all i have to say is wow!

  • I would have beat that motherfucker into the ground

  • the new horror classic? wtf

  • Another golden oldie from the Video Nasty era! This one was known as DEATH TRAP here in the UK and was one of the first films to be branded a Nasty, taken off the shelves and declared obscene! The reason? "Violence against a woman in the presence of her child".....but you can get it uncut on DVD over here now.

  • There's two thing's I've been wondering about since I saw this film. 1. What was Marty snorting inside that paper packet when he pulls it out from his wooden leg?, was it cocaine? And 2. Why in the world did Marty decide to tie up Marilyn Burns to a bed for just about the entire time of the movie? But I think the funniest scene in the film was when Marilyn Burn's hubby Roy started to go insane and and bark like a dog while his wife was talking to him.

  • Just had a quick hunt for it, but no luck. Does it have a dvd release?

  • @stevebobionic Oh, Hell Yeah, man! A special edition was put out by Dark Sky Films two or three years ago. Should still be available.

  • @stevebobionic LOOK ON EBAY

  • I 've never got round to seeing Eaten Alive. It looks great!

  • @stevebobionic It's an entertaining Video Nasty!

  • Is this movie any good?

  • @D1am0nd77 The movie is alright. It's no "Texas Chain Saw Massacre". If I had to give it a rating, I'd give it 3 Stars at the best and 2 1/2 at the least. Parts of the film come across like a Hooper film and bare similarities to TCM, while most of the movie really doesn't. That's because Hooper didn't direct the whole film.

  • Love horros,There is so many special effects in new horrors now, love a one with a believable story to it,adds more to the fear factor, really makes the adrenalin go

  • This film is cheesy greatness, but them comparing it to "Jaws" (1975) is laughable. LMAO!

  • @GialloHorror, HaHa!! It looks and feels like "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", but instead of a chainsaw, it's an alligator! I wonder if this inspired the film, "Alligator" (1980)? A story about a baby gator getting flushed down the toilet and grows up in the sewer to stalk and eat people in a city. I believe there's even an "Alligator 2".

I recognized the actress who played the adult Christina Crawford in "Mommie Dearest", a bio horror all on its own!

  • @GialloHorror, On second thought, that may not even be her. I thought maybe she used another name or had an uncredited role in "Eaten Alive", but it looks a lot like her if it isn't the actress from "Mommie Dearest". In "Mommie Dearest", she wears an obviously fake blonde wig, too! Maybe that's what it is?

  • i think its neat how this film was so so so damn early in Robert englund's career that they didnt' even say his name in the preview.....

  • Im supriesd this hasint bin remade yet lol i wonder if they would i would kinda like to see what they would do with a remake of this? lol

  • @mittens493 I'm sure it will happen eventually...

    Thanks for watching!

  • We are eaten alive every day. In a more crude and obscene way.

  • I really like Eaten Alive!!! It has such a cool atmosphere!!! Fucking awesome!

  • @od666666 I know! It looks creepy as Hell. Thanks for watching, OD!

  • no probs the horror word caught my eye lol im a mad horror fan specially the old ones

  • @kristytattoo So am I. It's pretty much all I watch now...

  • @johnnyhorror92182 true, same here. got heaps of old horror and the new but these days it takes a decent horror 4 me to show interest and actually enjoy it! most are so b grade n u cant sit thru them

  • thanks for the sub!!! also subbed back :) cheers, kristytattoo xx

  • @kristytattoo Thank you very much! Please drop by my channel anytime, Kristy!

  • just finish watching this, is a decent good show. but i have to say this, Marilyn Burn & Janus Blythe are hot~

  • @VanBuranko Thanks for watching! "Eaten Alive" is a decent drive-in horror film. It doesn't totally feel like a Hooper film (because he didn't direct all of it) but you can see his influence in some of the scenes.

  • I have to watch that movie...

  • @blackcat333ful check it out. it's a good drive-in movie.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 Dont worry i will....

  • I have this on dvd for sale, if anyone is interested just message me.

please don't leave comments on my vids, just email me and we'll figure something out.

i have a TON or rare cult movies and stuff. good cheap prices too

  • I watched this movie about a month ago. It's a decent movie and It makes want to check out miss Hattie's girls LOL.

  • @DoktorSick Thanks for watching, Dok!

  • It's funny how they try to cash in on JAWS when they really should have told the people: "The new movie from the sick and perverted who brought you the masterpiece The Texas Chainsaw Massacre!"

  • This movie begs for a remake, it would awasome for one.

  • @TheWarlord900 I wouldn't mind that, either. Thanks for watching!

  • @johnnyhorror92182 No prob. I mean, really this wold be awesome if Michael Clark Duncan was the Neville Brand character.

  • @ExploitationCannibal I thought it was alright. "Eaten Alive" was not completely directed by Tobe Hooper. Hooper actually walked off the set after having creative differences with the producers, with 3 weeks of shooting left to complete. The movie was actually finished and edited by the producers and actress Marilyn Burns. But their are a few scenes that bear an eerie likeness to TCM. Hoopers stamp is definitely on the film.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 Marilyn burns is in this one too? never knew that! thanks again for the upload and info!!!!

    ^v^J.R.^V^

  • EATEN ALIVE! yes ive been wanting to show this one.... maybe its time i dug it up!!!! thanks for the post!

    ^v^J.R.^V^

  • @skullmask5 Get diggn', J.R.!

  • @johnnyhorror92182 after midnight bwahahahaha!!!!

    ^v^J.R.^V^

  • have not seen this but it looks cool,,,

  • @Teyethegreat The movie is decent enough but doesn't entirely feel like a Tobe Hooper film. Like I wrote above, Hooper quit with three weeks of shooting left. But in certain scenes, you can feel his influence.

  • Holy shit I gotta see this

  • Beautiful man, just beautiful! Gotta love the horror movie trailers of the past!! Good stuff!

  • Gee, what's more shocking than THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE? A rare film from Tobe Hooper. Looks like a good exploitation-horror movie to watch, and hope it's better than that awful but shocking TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. :D

  • @tapesan09 The movie is rather decent and better than most Drive-In fair. It's no TCM, even though Hooper tried to recreate the look and atmosphere of that film but ultimately did not succeed. The main reason for this was the producers who hired Hooper to make the film interferred with his direction and, for this reason, Hooper quit on set and walked with 3 weeks of shooting left to film. The movie was reportedly finished by the editor and actress Carolyn Jones.

    Thanks for watching!

  • @johnnyhorror92182 You're weclome. I'm into exploitation cinema, man. I see this ain't TCM, and that's suprising from what you told me abour the making of this film.

Say, why don't you check out my channel? I uploaded some cool cult movie trailers (even horror).

  • @tapesan09 Same here, man. I love Horror/Exploitation films from the 60's, 70's & 80's. TCM is a Must see, my friend. You should go find a copy now!

But anyway, I will be glad to check out your channel! I hope you will check out my channel as well. I got all kinds of crap on it.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 Yeah, man. I di saw TCM, and it was truly shocking. My father owns a copy of it on VHS (1988 Video Treasures edition, which was the non-restored 16-mm version). TCM scared my mother a lot when she was young (yes, she saw it on a midnight showing when it first came out in theaters). It's been 4 years since I saw TCM. Did you know that it was #6 on EW's top 50 cult movies? Look it up!

  • @tapesan09 I'm sorry, man. I miss understood what you wrote. I thought you said you didn't see TCM. My bad.

I recall reading that EW issue, but it was a long time ago...

Be sure to hand onto that vhs copy of TCM, man. I never hung on to a lot of my old vhs tapes and I kick myself because of that.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 It's not a problem. That EW issue what we both read that is my favorite issue and that's what got me into cult movies. Speaking of that, I've sent you some other good trailers for exploitation movies you might like. Talk to ya later. :)

And oh, my father's VHS copy of TCM is up in the garage attic with his other VHS tapes.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 Howdy, mate! Are ya doing today!

  • wow i wish i had a scythe and an alligator to protect my house and keep people from leaving hehe.

  • @sadfissad I invested in Archer-Monkeys to protect my house.

    Thanks for watching!

  • @johnnyhorror92182 and how is that going for you haha?

  • @sadfissad Damn Monkey's are Shitting all over the place!!!!

  • i think being eaten alve is the worst way to die

  • Being eaten by something would suck.

Thanks for watching! Don't forget to rate, thanks!

  • RAPE =P

  • why is the blonde dressed like she is from the victorian period (if this movie somehow takes place in that era, i retract my question and apologize for looking like a dumb cunt)

    Ps, scythes and cros, awesome

PPs, claiming the movie is a classic before it even comes out is ballsy, and I like it

    cheers :)

  • @laceyschism I have no idea why she is wearing that weird dress...sorry.

The movie takes place in South East Texas in 1977 and is somewhat (and I stress that) based on a notorious 1930's murderer named Joe Ball, a World War One vet and Saloon owner who supposedly killed 20 women in his small south Texas town and fed the remains to his pet 'gators which he kept in a concrete pit behind the saloon (as a local attraction).

    Thanks for watching.

  • @johnnyhorror92182 , hey, thank you for posting, it's been over 30 years since I seen this movie, it reminds me of the time that we had drive-in theaters around here, of where I seen it at, and of now which no longer have, once again, thank you for the posting

  • @sr71ablackbird You are welcome! Thanks for watching!

  • robert englund is in this film, i gotta watch it

  • I didn't even know he was in it 'till I watched it.

He plays a real scumbag lol.

  • lol, im looking forward to watch this movie

  • I highly recommend it! Like TCM it's loosely based on the story of a small town serial killer. In this case, Joe Ball, a bar owner in Texas who killed two of his three wives and supposedly, fed them to gators he kept in a pit. (although, the gators part of the story isn't true...)

  • wow , awesome story, i just wanted to watch it cos of robert, but if u say it is like TCM i can b sure is an awesome film, thanks a lot for the recommendation :)

  • Eaten Alive its one of my new favourite Tobe Hooper films

  • For everyone's information, this movie has just recently been released as a 2-disc special edition DVD, loaded with extras! I didn't really like the movie though. The bad guy looked like Stephen King! LOL!
