I clean my atomizers when they start getting hard to pull through when compared to a new one. I use a seltzer water bath (10 minutes), and then I place them in a coffee cup of pre-boiled tap water for the same amount of time.
I dry them by blowing through them with my mouth a few times.
Note: Don't boil the water with the atomizers in the pot. Boil the water first, then pour the water into the cup with the atomizers in it. If I need to clean the batteries themselves, I use some cloth.

Of course batteries are sealed. They operate off of chemical reactions. How do you think they produce electricity? If batteries weren't sealed, their chemicals would leak out.
'Sides, dudes just trying to help someone. Some of you people need to get outside and get some fresh air more often.
dude buy a 510....it gives waaaaaay more vapor than that! i got mine from a wholesaler for $29.99 (starter kit) USD from e-cigarette-mart(.)com takes about 2 weeks for it to arrive from china but its well worth the wait!
Since he put this video out, lots of people are saying not to submerge your atomizer in ANY liquid at all. You want your atomizer to actually stay as dry as possible. A few simple blows into the battery end of the atomizer is all you really have to do, maybe let it sit atomizer side tilted down overnight on a paper towel. atomizers typically last 3-5 months TOPS before going bad, and too much liquid is a quick way to kill them faster. Oh, and don't overfill your cartridges with e-liquid!!
woah, never seen those before. Ecigarettes they're called? I'll check them out. I hate smoking, but nothing else I tried works, and I have 0 willpower, I usually just replace one bad thing with another not as bad thing.
So you understand that your advice destroys some peoples batteries. Yet you refuse to take the video down. Could you please explain your reasoning in moral terms? (considering you are - I gather - a philosopher and all?)
just a little tid bit here as long as you keep your ecig upright where liquid wont drip toward the battery there really is no reason you should ever have to clean it other then cleaning off the threads and such.
if juice gets on it just wipe it off and wait a while for it to dry off you really shouldt have to do any more cleaning then that. as far as the atty goes all i ever do is blow it out every couple of days from the battery end and blow towards the coil or wire mesh part. been vapin for 6 months now and always had attys last 8 weeks minimum.
i know it kinda sux but they will need to be replaced i had one go for 4 months from my first m401 and consider myself lucky but generally they dont require too much cleaning and maintnence and they dont last too long but theyre cheap enough to replace i save money from buying analogs and my lungs feel much better from the past 15 years of tobacco abuse ive put on them hope this helps. =)
I'm most likely going to buy an ecig kit soon... but from what i see here this guys just posting.. comments about what worked for HIM... and theirs so many factors and so many things that you can do wrong to ruin your batteries and so on.. personally you can't bitch for breaking your shit.. Should have done it your own way and you wouldn't have any one to blame but yourself...
I lost one M401 battery by cleaning it this way, but I think it's just that some batteries can take it and some can't /:
Absolutely NO one to blame. As soon as i put the battery censor end in the vinegar, the battery got REALLY hot, then 20 minute later (I took it out after a couple minutes) it cooled completely and never worked again.
No biggie though cuz I decided to purchase a Cylon 510 model and it's much better for me.
I credit Dynamite Ruby and you for turning me on to e-cigs, Thanks!
Update: one battery revived! (due to poking switch as recommended on forum, through hole with a paper clip) - other battery hopeless - no blinking when put on charger etc. - no response to manipulating the switch. both batteries, though cleaned externally, smell like condensed vinegar on the inside.
Wow 5 people have posted about losing batteries by following your advice - that's more than I thought. Coincidence they each lost two?that's the number that comes in the basic comes in the basic kit! You know full well from the message I sent that I lost my batteries on Friday - I'v only been doing e-cigs since Tues so enough with the slanderous implications. In fairness I WILL post if they ever come to life again. Haven't as of this morning.
Um, rubbing alcohol should be obvious in any electronic cleaning situation. Do not douse or drown though! You should never submerge any battery or electronic in any liquid (as seen in this video). Dip some cotton swabs into isopropyl rubbing alcohol, squeeze excess & rub clean.
"And really, leaving this many posts on someone's video makes you look like a fanatic. You might want to stop soon." well if you mugged me in the street for the money you just took of me you'd be on your way to court - think yourself lucky
Lucky that I didn't mug you? I wouldn't mug you. But apparently, you're willing to say I did the moment you lose some money.
Interesting, though, that you're using two accounts. How many more do you have? As I recall, the four or five other people complaining about broken batteries also lost two... coincidence? Maybe. But it makes me suspicious.
"The post he replied to should have been credited to e-cigarette-forum, but I forgot to" um so how do you gather from that that I was claiming the comment was mine? You can read, yes?
You said I consider any quote from the forum spam, and I said I would delete all spam. There's some not-deleted "spam" going on. See how that works? Nevermind. Leave sarcasm to the pros. It makes you contradict yourself. And really, leaving this many posts on someone's video makes you look like a fanatic. You might want to stop soon.
You see A FORUM is, well, somewhat peer reviewed, as opposed to some random guy on youtube telling you something which actually ends up costing you a disastrous amount of money
Yeah, not really. A forum is a bunch of people saying what they think. If there's any group consensus at all, it's a matter of popularity, not science or anything like that.
Didn't realize you lost a disasterous amount of money, or were you doing more bad hyperbolic sarcasm? Because, I mean, if a couple failed batteries is disasterous, you might want to give up all nicotine habits and save.
"Spamming" by the definition of jeffsmithluedke means any quote from e-cigarette-forum, who does not endorse any of his techniques or lend him any credibility. The post he replied to should have been credited to e-cigarette-forum, but I forgot to. The other posts which I did credit were apparently deleted by jeffsmithluedke. Just for your information. If you want to know the truth just read the forum
Are you saying the words in your comment below this one are yours? They aren't. No, spamming means flooding with comments, and the "with comments that aren't yours," in this case, yes, means posts from the forum. But you could put in random movie quotes and I'd delete those too.
Now, it is possible with automatic batteries for liquid to ooze from the atomizer into the battery. This can result in a gummy battery with a sticky internal switch so that it either doesn't come on properly or doesn't shut off properly. In such cases, folks generally recommend a variety of things to dry it out, but to the best of my knowledge, it doesn't involve adding liquids.
The problem with liquid drying on battery sensors is the same problem with liquid drying on atomizers. It crusts. For the atomizers, that makes them heat up. For the batteries, that makes the sensor stick. You DO use liquid to clean atomizers. What's the alternative method for batteries?
Again, five batteries strong. Oh, and I'm amending my statement earlier. I won't stop you from saying cleaning this way doesn't work. I will stop you from spamming with comments that aren't yours.
Sorry but this complete nonsense. Quote ONE post that thread that supports your technique of cleaning batteries - you CAN'T can you? . And, if you read the thread, you Know full well I can produce quotes from the forum that say your ideas are absolute rubbish. Look - I can't get the money back I lost from following your advice - I'm just trying to help others from falling into same pitfall. Let it dry - that's a laugh -- comment about dropping one in a toilet. Mine havedried40 hours still dead
No, I can't find one in that thread because they're not talking about how to clean them. They're talking about your anger. But there are other threads, and those threads are even referenced in your thread (coke, vinegar). You're acting as if there's some magic involved in them agreeing with an angry person. But go ahead and warn away, I'm not stopping you. I'll just continue to point out that all five of my batteries still work.
You know it's kind of sad the way I watched your video several times over- agonising about the right vinegar level, type of glass and such- From what I can gather the only ones who actually tried this and posted comments here about it have lost batteries. To know that people have lost batteries by following your instructions - and you not mentioning this in your info makes you appear "ethically challenged" to say the least, especially in these hard economic times.
I read through the thread. Sounds a lot less like they agree with you, and a lot more like they're trying to settle down an angered person. These are, after all, the people I got the idea from. You should take the initial advice they gave you and wait for them to really dry out. I've been using the same 5 batteries since I got them months ago.
If I were you I'd at least remove the link in your info to e-cigarettes-forum. They might think you're giving them a bad name. If you REALLY want to know what e-cigarettes-forum thinks of your ideas specifically, you might want to go there and look up the thread "Bad battery cleaning advice on youtube"
Nice title. The thread doesn't say what they think of how I clean my stuff. The thread is about what you think, with everyone else telling you, "There, there." I'm not removing the link, I'm not removing the video, and the moment those batteries dry out and start working, I want an apology.
REPEAT - THIS WILL KILL YOUR EXPENSIVE BATTERIES. Do not be suckered by the 5 star rating or the claims that he got his info from respected forums. NO ONE EVER POSTED ON THESE FORUMS THAT YOU SHOULD DUNK YOUR BATTERIES IN VINEGAR - YOU WILL MOST LIKELY DESTROY YOUR BATTERIES BY DOING THIS.
I have yet to destroy any batteries, or use an atomizer for less than a month. You're either doing it wrong, or you're getting bum batteries. I'm not taking this video down until it stops working for me.
DO NOT DO THIS TO YOUR BATTERIES - followed the instructions without reading all the comments and killed two batteries. This video should be taken down.
Oh man, this guy is so Bukowski cool. Cleaning his e-cigarette - like whoah. Apparently his 'coil' needs cleaning. Hasn't he heard of the pill ffs? And while he's giving us cleaning tips, why not throw in a few clips of washing dishes and hoovering to really add that 'Barfly' chique? Just so totally factotem bro. Rock on.
According to the World Health Organization, the acceptable dietary intake of propylene glycol is 25 mg of propylene glycol for every kilogram (kg) of body weight.
Propylene glycol is generally considered to be a safe chemical, and is not routinely tested for, unless specific exposure, such as to a medicine or cosmetic, can be linked with the observed bad symptoms. Since propylene glycol breaks down very quickly in the body, it is very difficult to detect.
top
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as generally recognized as safe, which means that it is acceptable for use in flavorings, drugs, and
Google News is currently showing a host of stories stating that the FDA now considers e-cigarettes to be (potentially) more harmful than regular cigarettes.
I'm not sure if you are aware of the latest FDA findings, or if they would faze you, but in any case, your groupies (inc. myself) would like to see a future vlog from you about this.
Also...what is happening? You've dropped off the map a little. It's not like you *have* to give an update, but...c'mon now.
I can't say I agree with putting your batteries in the microwave? Vinegar I can understand, heated sure, although I'd probably try H202 in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner first for the atomizer and perhaps an airbrush with isopropyl alcohol and then an air blast for the batteries. I don't even own one yet, so I guess I'm jumping the gun. ...getting a blu-cig when they're orderable again.
Hi Jeff. Just wanted to say hi again. : ) I met you today in the grocery store. I'm sorry I didn't say something off the bat. Kinda awkward, not knowing you and all. I'm sure you have had a few people stop you in person to say, hi. I've been watching your other channel for years now, and I did speak to you a couple times in the Stickam chatrooms. It was cool meeting you in person. Good luck with the nonsmoking and all. Hope to see some new videos soon! : )
I am so stupid! My English isn't so good, so I asked my little sister if I was right that vinegar is the same as olive oil. She said yes, so the smoke now tastes like the smell of pancakes baked in oil:P
How the fuck did the fluid in the glass remotely resemble olive oil?
You're grasp of the english language seems to have flourished in the meantime; your grammar and punctuation is pretty good, for someone who can't distiguish the difference in the properties of vinegar and olive oil.
But please excuse my derrision, you do give a clear acknowledgement in your first sentence.
soooo i cleaned em like he said in the video and it killed both batteries. one was showing the LED as on for the duration, until it finally died as well, but the charger won't recognize either of them. >_>
Trust me, you can do it wrong: namely by buying a cheap, crappily made ecig or not taking care of it. I bet you didn't bother to blow out your atomizer before using it for the first time. That's probably where the oiliness came from, because the atomizers are usually filled with a primer fluid to prevent rusting.
Also, you can't inhale quick and shallow like with a regular cigarette. Slow and deep is better.
They're not going to taste exactly like burning cigarettes, no. That's part of the transition process, is getting used to something that gives you a nicotine hit but doesn't taste like crap.
And I WISH I was getting paid to promote these things. I love my ecig and dawg knows I could use the money right about now.
Nobody's denying nicotine is addictive, nimrod. This is just a considerably safer alternative to analog cigarettes. Regular cigarettes have upwards of 4,000 different chemicals in them (including CO2 and formaldehyde) and 60 carcinogens. Most ecigs have -maybe- 12 altogether, depending on what kind of juice you use. NO properly prepared juice should have any kind of oil in it.
proplene glycol hasn't been extensively studied enough. It's known to cause irritation and allergic effects. Essential oils hasn't been studied either for cancerous properties through inhalation. I know you miss ciggies.. don't deny it >:)
Firstly, propylene glycol is in all sorts of stuff people eat and drink everyday and it has been FDA approved. If you're allergic to it, yeah, you'll experience a reaction, but by and large, there's no reaction at all.
Secondly, essential oils aren't used in the nicquid that goes into the cartridges for ecigs. Oils in general are not to be used, as they can clog your atomizer - especially flavored nic juice that has oil-based flavors. Water-based is preferable.
Thirdly, nope - I don't miss cigarettes a bit. I bought two packs after I got my ecig 'just in case' - wound up smoking maybe 5 of them during my transition phase (which lasted about 5 days altogether) and then wound up giving my housemate the rest of the pack and the other, unopened pack. This is my 9th day without smoking any analogs.
I was fully prepared to be the first one to call BS if they didn't work, but they do, and I don't miss analogs at all! They taste horrible to me, now!
ok im stupid lol, i was looking at the wiki for polyethylene glycol not propylene glycol. When I first smoked it I felt cold sweats but perhaps it was psychosomatic because I tried it again with a more open mind and didn't feel it. Also tried a menthol/mint liquid and it was actually pretty good. I definitely see the advantages of e-cigs now compared to gums and patches because you'll always miss that feeling of smoking and that instant hit. Gotta quit sometime..
At least, with ecigs, you get to allow your body to make the decision for itself about how much you need or want and can stop there. Tons of people have stopped smoking altogether - including stopping using their ecigs - after using them for a while. I don't know if I'll be one of those, but I DO know I haven't even picked up a cig in 11 days and counting, so that's plenty of proof right there. lol I even gave my housemate all my lighters I had on me - lol
Well, some people are saying that any strange side effects or extraneous cravings that pop up might be because of whatever else is in regular cigarettes -besides- nicotine, which could be any number of 4,000+ ingredients. It does take some mental Houdini-ing to transfer your mental cravings to ecigs, especially if you've been smoking for ages, but you just need to give yourself time to get used to it. I gave my housemate all the cigs I had left and didn't feel even a twing of anxiety about it!
The sweats were probably from the rush hit of getting nicotine into your body in a pure form versus a regular "analog" cigarette w/ all it's carcinogens. Since the feeling waned and disappeared even after numerous later hits of the e-cig, you should be okay. BTW, I've been on e-cig since 7/7/09 & w/ exception of 1-2 analogs a day until reaching the e-cig nicotine level 1st week; since smoker's cough gone, taste/smell things couldn't before & DH stopped bitching about my smoking in the house.
Hey man I tried this and lost two batteries and one atomiser, it doesn't work and its now cost me £37.99 for a new kit. I would advise others who watch this video not to follow it. There are other methods that I've seen which may work, but I was dumb and tried this one, stupid me....
Great video but I missed what end of the atomiser you put face down in the vinegar? and what end you put face down on the towel to dry. Can you let me know, cheers M x
Hey, Az! You'll be happy to know that I finally broke down and just ordered myself a kit! I went with a black 401. Now I'm all bouncy and excited and wanting it to be here tomorrow. XD
Aren't you worried that the propylene glycol might starts to build up in your lungs? I mean as far as I know there have been no conclusive studies on how inhaling propylene glycol effects humans.
Since PG is in most everything, isn't a toxin, and therefore, lungs or not, my body knows a little bit about how to handle it, I'm not as worried about it as I should be about tobacco tar.
I found it interesting. Maybe that's because I'm going to need to know how to clean them though. Perhaps it isn't interesting to you, because you have no interest in e-cigs?
Is the atomizer bristles plated or pure metal? I'm not sure if regular cleaning with vinegar with prolong its life if its plated, but hey, I don't have much experience with cleaning metal.
About the only thing I know about that is the aluminum foil, salt and warm water trick, but I don't think anything abrasive would be good for that atomizer thing.
Anywho, have fun with that.
Peace.
One thing that tends to work with polishing silver is to
What would whiskey do to the vinegar? Not sure about whiskey for flavor, both if I could or if I'd want to. Some things are just meant to come in a snifter.
These E-cigs sound awesome... BUT! When smoking a real cig, we know to put it out, or rather, stop smoking it, when it gets down to the butt... so how do you know when to stop smoking the E-cig? =)
Sorry to be a qualude, but what's the point of rendering and uploading "simple v-log" videos in HD? I totally get it for produced videos (like your "Tea Time" and "abyss" videos--that fucking rocks!), but why do it for this type of video? I'm just curious.
Besides, I'm just rendering them 1280x720 at 2 mbps. My videos pre-youtube-widescreen (including Abyss) were 640x480 at 3 mbps, which is still HQ. So, oddly, a lower bitrate video at a higher screen resolution is HD. The first ecigarette video on this channel was done 1280x720 at 1 mbps, and it's HD too.
what liquid are you using to clean it ?

Since he put this video out, lots of people are saying not to submerge your atomizer in ANY liquid at all. You want your atomizer to actually stay as dry as possible. A few simple blows into the battery end of the atomizer is all you really have to do, maybe let it sit atomizer side tilted down overnight on a paper towel. atomizers typically last 3-5 months TOPS before going bad, and too much liquid is a quick way to kill them faster. Oh, and don't overfill your cartridges with e-liquid!!

just a little tid bit here as long as you keep your ecig upright where liquid wont drip toward the battery there really is no reason you should ever have to clean it other then cleaning off the threads and such.
youngn420 2 years ago
if juice gets on it just wipe it off and wait a while for it to dry off you really shouldt have to do any more cleaning then that. as far as the atty goes all i ever do is blow it out every couple of days from the battery end and blow towards the coil or wire mesh part. been vapin for 6 months now and always had attys last 8 weeks minimum.
youngn420 2 years ago
i know it kinda sux but they will need to be replaced i had one go for 4 months from my first m401 and consider myself lucky but generally they dont require too much cleaning and maintnence and they dont last too long but theyre cheap enough to replace i save money from buying analogs and my lungs feel much better from the past 15 years of tobacco abuse ive put on them hope this helps. =)
youngn420 2 years ago
I'm most likely going to buy an ecig kit soon... but from what i see here this guys just posting.. comments about what worked for HIM... and theirs so many factors and so many things that you can do wrong to ruin your batteries and so on.. personally you can't bitch for breaking your shit.. Should have done it your own way and you wouldn't have any one to blame but yourself...
pistolandshank07 2 years ago
I lost one M401 battery by cleaning it this way, but I think it's just that some batteries can take it and some can't /:
Absolutely NO one to blame. As soon as i put the battery censor end in the vinegar, the battery got REALLY hot, then 20 minute later (I took it out after a couple minutes) it cooled completely and never worked again.
No biggie though cuz I decided to purchase a Cylon 510 model and it's much better for me.
I credit Dynamite Ruby and you for turning me on to e-cigs, Thanks!
NitaBMe 2 years ago
Update: one battery revived! (due to poking switch as recommended on forum, through hole with a paper clip) - other battery hopeless - no blinking when put on charger etc. - no response to manipulating the switch. both batteries, though cleaned externally, smell like condensed vinegar on the inside.
flaxton1 2 years ago

Dip some cotton swabs into isopropyl rubbing alcohol, squeeze excess & rub clean.

kirkham1100 2 years ago
Lucky that I didn't mug you? I wouldn't mug you. But apparently, you're willing to say I did the moment you lose some money.
Interesting, though, that you're using two accounts. How many more do you have? As I recall, the four or five other people complaining about broken batteries also lost two... coincidence? Maybe. But it makes me suspicious.

You tossed away 14 quid for breaking your batteries. It's not my fault. That's the world I live in. That's the world you live in too.

"The post he replied to should have been credited to e-cigarette-forum, but I forgot to" um so how do you gather from that that I was claiming the comment was mine? You can read, yes?
flaxton1 2 years ago
You said I consider any quote from the forum spam, and I said I would delete all spam. There's some not-deleted "spam" going on. See how that works? Nevermind. Leave sarcasm to the pros. It makes you contradict yourself. And really, leaving this many posts on someone's video makes you look like a fanatic. You might want to stop soon.
jeffsmithluedke 2 years ago
You see A FORUM is, well, somewhat peer reviewed, as opposed to some random guy on youtube telling you something which actually ends up costing you a disastrous amount of money
flaxton1 2 years ago
Yeah, not really. A forum is a bunch of people saying what they think. If there's any group consensus at all, it's a matter of popularity, not science or anything like that.
Didn't realize you lost a disasterous amount of money, or were you doing more bad hyperbolic sarcasm? Because, I mean, if a couple failed batteries is disasterous, you might want to give up all nicotine habits and save.
jeffsmithluedke 2 years ago
"Spamming" by the definition of jeffsmithluedke means any quote from e-cigarette-forum, who does not endorse any of his techniques or lend him any credibility. The post he replied to should have been credited to e-cigarette-forum, but I forgot to. The other posts which I did credit were apparently deleted by jeffsmithluedke. Just for your information. If you want to know the truth just read the forum
flaxton1 2 years ago
Are you saying the words in your comment below this one are yours? They aren't. No, spamming means flooding with comments, and the "with comments that aren't yours," in this case, yes, means posts from the forum. But you could put in random movie quotes and I'd delete those too.
jeffsmithluedke 2 years ago
Now, it is possible with automatic batteries for liquid to ooze from the atomizer into the battery. This can result in a gummy battery with a sticky internal switch so that it either doesn't come on properly or doesn't shut off properly. In such cases, folks generally recommend a variety of things to dry it out, but to the best of my knowledge, it doesn't involve adding liquids.
flaxton1 2 years ago
The problem with liquid drying on battery sensors is the same problem with liquid drying on atomizers. It crusts. For the atomizers, that makes them heat up. For the batteries, that makes the sensor stick. You DO use liquid to clean atomizers. What's the alternative method for batteries?
Again, five batteries strong. Oh, and I'm amending my statement earlier. I won't stop you from saying cleaning this way doesn't work. I will stop you from spamming with comments that aren't yours.
jeffsmithluedke 2 years ago
Sorry but this complete nonsense. Quote ONE post that thread that supports your technique of cleaning batteries - you CAN'T can you? . And, if you read the thread, you Know full well I can produce quotes from the forum that say your ideas are absolute rubbish. Look - I can't get the money back I lost from following your advice - I'm just trying to help others from falling into same pitfall. Let it dry - that's a laugh -- comment about dropping one in a toilet. Mine havedried40 hours still dead
flaxton1 2 years ago
No, I can't find one in that thread because they're not talking about how to clean them. They're talking about your anger. But there are other threads, and those threads are even referenced in your thread (coke, vinegar). You're acting as if there's some magic involved in them agreeing with an angry person. But go ahead and warn away, I'm not stopping you. I'll just continue to point out that all five of my batteries still work.
jeffsmithluedke 2 years ago
You know it's kind of sad the way I watched your video several times over- agonising about the right vinegar level, type of glass and such- From what I can gather the only ones who actually tried this and posted comments here about it have lost batteries. To know that people have lost batteries by following your instructions - and you not mentioning this in your info makes you appear "ethically challenged" to say the least, especially in these hard economic times.
flaxton1 2 years ago
I read through the thread. Sounds a lot less like they agree with you, and a lot more like they're trying to settle down an angered person. These are, after all, the people I got the idea from. You should take the initial advice they gave you and wait for them to really dry out. I've been using the same 5 batteries since I got them months ago.
jeffsmithluedke 2 years ago
If I were you I'd at least remove the link in your info to e-cigarettes-forum. They might think you're giving them a bad name. If you REALLY want to know what e-cigarettes-forum thinks of your ideas specifically, you might want to go there and look up the thread "Bad battery cleaning advice on youtube"
flaxton1 2 years ago
Nice title. The thread doesn't say what they think of how I clean my stuff. The thread is about what you think, with everyone else telling you, "There, there." I'm not removing the link, I'm not removing the video, and the moment those batteries dry out and start working, I want an apology.

You're grasp of the english language seems to have flourished in the meantime; your grammar and punctuation is pretty good, for someone who can't distiguish the difference in the properties of vinegar and olive oil.
But please excuse my derrision, you do give a clear acknowledgement in your first sentence.

how can u do it wrong? you suck in the smoke and breathe it out. Should I stand on my head? Hop on one foot?
paradise47180 2 years ago
Trust me, you can do it wrong: namely by buying a cheap, crappily made ecig or not taking care of it. I bet you didn't bother to blow out your atomizer before using it for the first time. That's probably where the oiliness came from, because the atomizers are usually filled with a primer fluid to prevent rusting.
Also, you can't inhale quick and shallow like with a regular cigarette. Slow and deep is better.
dynamiteruby 2 years ago
it wasn't mine, it was my friends. he has 3 other e-cigs and they all taste like crap!! I bet you're all getting paid to promote it aren't you..
paradise47180 2 years ago
They're not going to taste exactly like burning cigarettes, no. That's part of the transition process, is getting used to something that gives you a nicotine hit but doesn't taste like crap.
And I WISH I was getting paid to promote these things. I love my ecig and dawg knows I could use the money right about now.
dynamiteruby 2 years ago
suuure.. transition process.. no matter through whatever medium, nicotine is addictive. e-cigs are gross.. you're all weird..
paradise47180 2 years ago
Nobody's denying nicotine is addictive, nimrod. This is just a considerably safer alternative to analog cigarettes. Regular cigarettes have upwards of 4,000 different chemicals in them (including CO2 and formaldehyde) and 60 carcinogens. Most ecigs have -maybe- 12 altogether, depending on what kind of juice you use. NO properly prepared juice should have any kind of oil in it.
So, again, I say - UR DOIN IT RONG.
dynamiteruby 2 years ago
even if it did do all that , which i doubt , isn't it better than CANCER?!
GrimmGreen 2 years ago
how do you know e-cigs won't give you cancer?
paradise47180 2 years ago
well lets see , the main ingredients of e-liquid (the stuff you inhale ) are
Propylene Glycol: most commonly used in beauty products , baby powder and bubble bath , not known to cause cancer
Nicotine: while very addictive , not known to cause cancer (though this ingredient is optional)
Glycerol : liquid that is widely used in pharmaceutical formulations , safe by the FDA , not known to cause cancer
Essential Oil for flavor: i'll let you google that one
CONTINUED BELOW
GrimmGreen 2 years ago
proplene glycol hasn't been extensively studied enough. It's known to cause irritation and allergic effects. Essential oils hasn't been studied either for cancerous properties through inhalation. I know you miss ciggies.. don't deny it >:)
paradise47180 2 years ago
Firstly, propylene glycol is in all sorts of stuff people eat and drink everyday and it has been FDA approved. If you're allergic to it, yeah, you'll experience a reaction, but by and large, there's no reaction at all.
Secondly, essential oils aren't used in the nicquid that goes into the cartridges for ecigs. Oils in general are not to be used, as they can clog your atomizer - especially flavored nic juice that has oil-based flavors. Water-based is preferable.
dynamiteruby 2 years ago
Thirdly, nope - I don't miss cigarettes a bit. I bought two packs after I got my ecig 'just in case' - wound up smoking maybe 5 of them during my transition phase (which lasted about 5 days altogether) and then wound up giving my housemate the rest of the pack and the other, unopened pack. This is my 9th day without smoking any analogs.
I was fully prepared to be the first one to call BS if they didn't work, but they do, and I don't miss analogs at all! They taste horrible to me, now!
dynamiteruby 2 years ago
ok im stupid lol, i was looking at the wiki for polyethylene glycol not propylene glycol. Gotta quit sometime..
paradise47180 2 years ago
Maybe I'll give it a try. I'm still skeptical about the safety of it though, but admit it can't be anywhere near as bad as real cigarettes :P
paradise47180 2 years ago
Exactly.
At least, with ecigs, you get to allow your body to make the decision for itself about how much you need or want and can stop there. Tons of people have stopped smoking altogether - including stopping using their ecigs - after using them for a while. I don't know if I'll be one of those, but I DO know I haven't even picked up a cig in 11 days and counting, so that's plenty of proof right there. lol I even gave my housemate all my lighters I had on me - lol
dynamiteruby 2 years ago
Well, some people are saying that any strange side effects or extraneous cravings that pop up might be because of whatever else is in regular cigarettes -besides- nicotine, which could be any number of 4,000+ ingredients. It does take some mental Houdini-ing to transfer your mental cravings to ecigs, especially if you've been smoking for ages, but you just need to give yourself time to get used to it. I gave my housemate all the cigs I had left and didn't feel even a twing of anxiety about it!
dynamiteruby 2 years ago
The sweats were probably from the rush hit of getting nicotine into your body in a pure form versus a regular "analog" cigarette w/ all it's carcinogens. Since the feeling waned and disappeared even after numerous later hits of the e-cig, you should be okay. BTW, I've been on e-cig since 7/7/09 & w/ exception of 1-2 analogs a day until reaching the e-cig nicotine level 1st week; since smoker's cough gone, taste/smell things couldn't before & DH stopped bitching about my smoking in the house.

Sorry to be a qualude, but what's the point of rendering and uploading "simple v-log" videos in HD? I totally get it for produced videos (like your "Tea Time" and "abyss" videos--that fucking rocks!), but why do it for this type of video? I'm just curious.
CousinoMacul 2 years ago
It makes them much, much more watchable.
azrienoch 2 years ago
Besides, I'm just rendering them 1280x720 at 2 mbps. My videos pre-youtube-widescreen (including Abyss) were 640x480 at 3 mbps, which is still HQ. So, oddly, a lower bitrate video at a higher screen resolution is HD. The first ecigarette video on this channel was done 1280x720 at 1 mbps, and it's HD too.
