  • /WOW, ILooks so Fracking Good! How can you go wrong with Fries,Gravy, and Cheese? In California, we call that Chili Cheese Fries! Throw some Beans, Chicken or Beef,Guacamole,Sour Cream,Diced Onions and Jalepeno's? It's all good! Btw, What kind of cheese are you using for "Traditional" Poutine? Thanks sharing!

  • @mlee2001 Yeah those chilli fries sound pretty awsome too! And I'm not sure about the cheese....probably mozzarella or goat chese.

  • @mlee2001 Traditionally, cheese curds are used for poutine.

  • @Suki278 Ok great thanks!

  • Poutine is QUÉBECOIS and NOT canadian.........

  • @LifePathWisdom yeah sure...

  • nourriture préférée jamais

  • ;D no one would dare dislike this video! <3 poutines are too amazing to dislike!

  • @pokemon654lover Oh yes! ;) It's a crime to dislike poutine in Canada lol

  • ohhhhh I love poutine!!

  • @ghostofpaulrevere Everybody does!

Cheers from Toronto ! :D

  • @anojansmart Thanks ;)

  • Nicee man!! I'm going to try to make that today. Cheaper than going to Burger King.

  • @kevjumbaboo Epecially for me since the closest bugerKing is an hour away lol!

  • One Of The Thing That I Miss from Canada Is that Poutine :(

  • @saturacrash Oh I feel for you....but you could try to imitate it like I did no? (I hope so!)

  • i went to quebec and had poutine and it changed my life<3333

  • @k3ll4yyy I bet it did....changed your arteries too lol!

  • It looks awesome! but it's bad for u....but it's still awesome!

  • If Cardiac arrest occurs.... would be a good part 2! :)

  • @albeeinla yeah I should have put a warning. Use with moderation lol

  • @jihadacadien Hello! I have a question. Does Poutine keep very well? I mean does it taste as good leftover the next day?

  • @TheBlackStar999 Well it gets soggy...but reheated still taste pretty good

  • Go LEAFS!!!

  • @wiisports505 yeah!

  • you sound swedish...

  • @Xataret Yeah a lot of people say that....for some reason

  • @jihadacadien So you're not? ;O

  • @Xataret nope..pure Canadian!

  • @jihadacadien ...crazy accent o.o

  • @Xataret well it's French Canadian

  • @jihadacadien I like it :]

  • @Xataret Well thanks ;)

  • yum...i made some for supper..my fiance is living in windsor, On.. he taught me ;]

  • @EvesUnderground Cool!

  • man it the cheese doesn't even looks like its melting is it suppose to be like that? Cuz when i eat it at the store its complete melted

  • @27131king Well it depends.....most place put the poutine in the microwave to melt the cheese. But after a minute or so the cheese would get really soft just with the hot sauce like I did.

  • YUM YUM and again YUM!!!!! one of my favorite meals.... yip, I'm a Canadian Yay me!!! eh!

  • @44Babbs44 yay eh

  • You can kill someone with this....CHOLESTEROL ATTACK!!!! GRRRRRRRR!

  • @knightLynderic Yeh, can you belive I know a guy who eats this for...almost every diner!!!

  • @knightLynderic

    Not at all!!!

I slice up potatoes (peeled, or not doesn't matter) into fries (thickness depends on consumer) and mix them in a bowl with SUNFLOWER oil or COCONUT oil (olive oil when cooked at high temperture turned to transfat) cook them for 30-45 min at 400 F degrees in the oven. And then you prepare your sauces and cheeses and VOILA. Soooo much healthier then frying your fries or buying store bought.

Sorry I had to reply to your post haha

  • @knightLynderic

True, but only if they choose to eat it!

  • I think the cheese in english is Cheddar curd cheese. I cant find that in nore the poutine sauce in australia so ill have to make it my own. J'ai eu le poutine à Montréal quand j'ai vécu là depuis 6 mois et maintenant en arrière en Australie en appréciant l'été :)

  • @Superiorpakfan Oh no, defenitly not cheddar, more like mozarella....or goat cheese. And as far as the sauce, try out some kind of thick chicken gravy...and you should have something close to our poutine ;) And you leanred all that French from 6 months in Montreal!?

  • @jihadacadien

I made it a couple of hours ago for lunch and i used bocchini cheese also with chicken and beef gravy mixed and well i dont like the chicken gravy so next time ill do it with just beef. My friend from QC may send me packets of powered poutine sauce. I am french background i was born in Australia and as i was raised i spoke french 1st language at home. My parents immigrated to Australia from france in 84. So ever since i grew up i got more fluent. :)

  • @Superiorpakfan Yeah I didn't think you got all that in 6 months ;) I guess there's not much French in Australia. You can also use beef, in fact it,s usually what ''brown sauce'' tastes like. I just like chicken gravy better. Glad that you tired it out! ;)

  • @jihadacadien We do have french people but not as much as we have of Greeks, Italian, Arabs, pakistan and asians. Just like canada! :) Alot of multicultural

  • @Superiorpakfan Really!? Well I didn't know that of Australia! I guess it's the same every where nowadays....the planet really is getting smaller !

  • i never tryd it with oven cooked fries, is it awsome?

  • im so happy i live in canada lol

  • @LizandChris1 Oh yeah!!!!!

    Best of everything!

  • PS: For the Syttende Mai* parade in a nearby town, a cheesemaker actually tosses wee bags of cheese curds from the float to the spectators, just like others throw candy. Gotta love it. Is anyone familiar with deep-fried cheese curds? To die for (or from!)

*(Norwegian Constitution Day, independence from Denmark - many many people in this region are of Norwegian descent)

  • @zerdda free cheese, that's great! And I've never had deep fried cheese curds! But sounds wonderfull!

  • Cheese curds! I live in the heart of cheese curd country here in Wisconsin, USA. Poutine sounds FABULOUS! This I will try. THis I will share with my friends!

  • @zerdda awsome! Let me know how you like it!

  • great cook

  • Yours looks exactly like mcDonalds poutine

  • @Sovereign95 They have poutne!!!???

  • @jihadacadien

Fuck yeah! It's pretty good too. Does the trick at 3AM when bars close. I guess it's in Québec only(?)

  • @Sovereign95 Nice! When I lived in Quebec we went to his place where they use grated chese and somekind of bechamel sauce...it was pretty good too and sobered you right up!

  • @jihadacadien

Sounds strange, but delicious lol. Have you ever been to "La Banquise" in Montréal? Check out their menu! (Search "La banquise montréal menu" in google) They have some awesome creations!

Some of the best poutine in town! And it's open 24 hours also, you should see the lineups when bars and clubs close haha.

  • @Sovereign95 noIi only passed Monrea 4 timesl....I lived in Gatineau. I bet the line ups are crazy!!!

  • i just have one question i dont know where to get the cheese curds i check in stores and i cant find cheese curds

:( where can i find them?

  • @feraligatr9 Well to be honest there's some every where here...even in gas stations...but I guess you could ask for some in a place that only sell cheese..maybe. Or there should be some in the food store no ?

  • sont pâlottes tes frites mais ca me donne faim pareil :P

  • @PlatypusGuitar ouais c'est vraiment mieux avec des bonne frites cuites dans la graisse!!!! ;)

  • ewww, chicken gravy fucking ruins it! beef only!...

  • @watertemple1 you anarchist! LOL

  • @watertemple1 it is NOT beef gravy. wthell r u from?

  • r the cheese curds supposed to be cold?

    or moderately warm..

  • @PushedToTheLimit No you can put them right from the fridge

  • this makes me so sad :'(

its because i dont have any gravy at home :'(

  • @PushedToTheLimit aw....=S

  • is gravy usually that watery, or did you accidently put more water?

  • @hoyoung96 well the canned one is.....but the fries and melting chese make it ok.....but thicker gravy is a good option too!

  • @jihadacadien I see :D

  • i am a canadian and i looooove poutines!! lmao a lot of our fast food joints sells them (except mcdonalds)

  • @Espeon02 yeah McD sucks! ;)

  • LMFAO MY FAVORVITE PART IS HES SAY IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE MUCH BUT ITS AWSOME AND BAD FOR YOU LMFAO I WAS DYING HIS TONE OF VOICE WHEN HE SAYS AWSOME LMFAO BUT HES RIGHT POUTINES ARE MIND BLOWING

  • @thebankcard LOL! thanks!!! Mmmmmm poutine!!!

  • I am surprised Americans never thought of this, but I bet they would eat it up more than mcdonalds.

  • @CottageLife100 Oh they would love it! I hear there's a very popular restaurant in NY that serves only poutine ;) T poutine ;)

  • @jihadacadien I used to sit around at my house in the winter and eat poutine and wonder if starting a business in Texas selling poutine would work, then i realized Americans love fat greasy stuff so I would most likely succeed. lol

  • @CottageLife100 AHHAAHHAAHAH!!!! yeah they do!!!!!!!!! and I guess canadians do too!!! So are you a millionaire yet! ;)

  • @CottageLife100 No not yet, I am trying to get my cousins in Houston to set up a business but they are hesitant, but you know what? It doesn't even really matter cause they would twist everything and ruin the poutines good name anyway. Up here in Ottawa I could care less about what Americans want, I just love a hot poutine and some hockey after or before lol.

  • is it pronounced as "pouteen" or "potin" I can really know what is right, some videos on youtube are pronouncing it differently...

  • @WrongLover Say it like this....pooteen. that's the way to say it.

  • looks good.. nice vid

  • @TheAlmightyTaffy Thanks, it's pretty tasty too ;)

  • nice tatoo :D

  • @darkgui6666 Thanks

  • its cheese curds good video!

  • @Hamzaman221 Thanks and it's good poutine too! ;)

  • At least you baked the fries. lol. Cheese fries are good no matter what you put on it or call it. I like mine with sharp cheddar and dill weed. Put under a broiler to melt and crisp up some of the cheese. Mmm... I'll have to remember to make that this week during one of our vegetarian nights. My guys will love me for it! lol.

  • @VivianRinSC Dill!? must be tasty...and yeah they will love you! you can add chicken to it too!

  • @jihadacadien Lol, I think you missed that Vivian was making it for vegitarian nights "add chicken to it too" Chicken is not a vegetable =P

  • @firefox69 LOL!!! I sure did miss it!

  • I've always wanted to try this... maybe I'll just make my own. It looks tasty. =P

  • @jujutubes Oh it's pretty special!!! A must!

  • italian poutine substitutes gravy with italian sauce

  • @oahashmi Yeah and it's pretty sweet!

  • oh myyyy, I'm hungry now!

  • @brucegbean eheheh I made one today too!!! ;) It was soooo good!

  • I love Poutine even though it is a meat sauce. I know they are called Curds but we just call it squeaky cheese.

  • @dalecalder2003 lol Yeah i don't eat it too often. in fact it's been months now.

  • St. Hubert Poutine sauce is the best!

  • @yoyomax12 best in taste lol

  • Comfort food to be sure! I would put it in the oven to melt the cheese more, but you are right. My heart would not be happy. Of course if you used sweet potatoes and some low fat cheese it might be better for you...but what's the fun in that?

  • exactly lol!

  • Haha! So funny to make a video on poutine!!! Really good idea :) hummm it lokks yummy

  • @clodzia19 Thanks, I really wanted to make it lazy and buy cooked fries, but there was too many people at the restaurant lol
