Yes, now it's cheesy, especially the looks of the bad guys. By today's standards, they look a bit faggy. I watched a lot of Bronson movies in the 80's/90's and back then they were not corny. It's kind of the same with some old Stallone or Van Damme movies (watched them all too back then), but they are more recent. Anyway, Charles was probably doing these action movies before they started doing it, but Stallone really polished the genre.

Death Wish 3 is easily the most memorable of the series part 4 was different but ok part 5 had it's moments but it really felt weak compared to the others IMO.

Death Wish 3 was just bad enough in all the right places to be one of my favorite movies. It has a more satisfying finish than a lot of more popular action movies. :p

Im not saying Charles Bronson sucks, Death Wish 1 was actually a pretty good movie, but sequels like this just kill the brands name... Movie like The Untouchables or the Usual Suspects are movies that are actually GOOD...
seriously, this is what the movie industry needs: a story about a guy who takes the law into his own hands to solve violence with violence. not some crappy high school musical with horrible singing, terrible acting, and aimless plots
Do you know how badly the Obama admin and his followers would boycott and generally poo-poo a remake of this movie, because of its premise? That's why it isn't done... we close prisons full of terrorists now b/c somebody dared put a pair of undies on their heads and take pics, meanwhile they're SAWING OURS OFF overseas.
I would love a remake of this movie w/ less cheesy music and criminals that don't act like apes, but it'll never happen for the reasons above.
No, I just get the point without having to be hammered over the dead with it. So the bad guys are bad guys-- fine. They don't have to act like apes for me to get that. Most real criminals don't wear signs like that, and it honestly detracts from the real danger Kersey is in, and his bravery when I'm laughing under my breath at the heat-packing peanut gallery he's facing.
I think what made this a great sequel was not only Bronson but the villain Fraker. Like most villains in Cannon films he is a pure scumbag who the viewer can't wait to get it. He does courtesy of a mail order LAW rocket. Classic! reminds me of How Richard Lynch got it in INVASION USA.
I've always loved this movie! To this day, whenever I hear a fire truck approaching with its siren on, I start saying "My shop!.....My shop!...... My shhhhhhhop!" Somtimes as I say it I even act as if I'm struggling with 2 cops who are holding me back! Nobody ever gets the joke or understands what I'm doing. :)
I wish there was more vigilantes in the world. I am a poor person and my friends are all poor and most of us have been victims of violent crime for the only reason of being poor. Every single person I know that has been a victim the person that did it was never caught there is a serious problem in the world it's time to do something about it.
For years I always thought the last 20minutes of the movie was very unrealistic. An entire gang vs. Charles Bronson and his neighbors, with only 3 or 4 police cars responding. I found it hard to believe that this gang was destroying the whole neighborhood and killing people, while there was very little police response at all. Then... I saw the REAL footage of the LA riots in the 90s. You see massive rioting & chaos and NO cops in sight! So, perhaps this movie wasn't so unrealistic afterall??

Death Wish 3 was just bad enough in all the right places to be one of my favorite movies. It has a more satisfying finish than a lot of more popular action movies. :p

Deathwish III is the perfect representation of why law abiding citizens should have the right to bear arms. NYC have been violating those rights of the 2nd Amendment Constitution for the longest time and it's people still stand for it.

this movie was just plain gay, at first im like alright pretty cool idea, but the story is just stupid. A bunch of retarded thugsters beating up and killing 90 year old people? you have got to be kidding me, the point where the girls car us going 5mph and runs into another car and EXPLODES is the point at which i was asking myself, why am i watching this piece of crap movie. Dont get me wrong, the first one was good but this one SUCKED -.-

Im not saying Charles Bronson sucks, Death Wish 1 was actually a pretty good movie, but sequels like this just kill the brands name... Movie like The Untouchables or the Usual Suspects are movies that are actually GOOD...

Death Wish 3 really isn't all that crummy. At all. Pretty good plot and great action sequences.
And for the record, even Robert De Niro was dissatisfied with his performance in The Untouchables. If that tells you anything.

Do you know how badly the Obama admin and his followers would boycott and generally poo-poo a remake of this movie, because of its premise? That's why it isn't done... we close prisons full of terrorists now b/c somebody dared put a pair of undies on their heads and take pics, meanwhile they're SAWING OURS OFF overseas.
I would love a remake of this movie w/ less cheesy music and criminals that don't act like apes, but it'll never happen for the reasons above.

No, I just get the point without having to be hammered over the dead with it. So the bad guys are bad guys-- fine. They don't have to act like apes for me to get that. Most real criminals don't wear signs like that, and it honestly detracts from the real danger Kersey is in, and his bravery when I'm laughing under my breath at the heat-packing peanut gallery he's facing.

I think what made this a great sequel was not only Bronson but the villain Fraker. Like most villains in Cannon films he is a pure scumbag who the viewer can't wait to get it. He does courtesy of a mail order LAW rocket. Classic! reminds me of How Richard Lynch got it in INVASION USA.

I've always loved this movie! To this day, whenever I hear a fire truck approaching with its siren on, I start saying "My shop!.....My shop!...... My shhhhhhhop!" Somtimes as I say it I even act as if I'm struggling with 2 cops who are holding me back! Nobody ever gets the joke or understands what I'm doing. :)

I wish there was more vigilantes in the world. I am a poor person and my friends are all poor and most of us have been victims of violent crime for the only reason of being poor. Every single person I know that has been a victim the person that did it was never caught there is a serious problem in the world it's time to do something about it.

For years I always thought the last 20minutes of the movie was very unrealistic. An entire gang vs. Charles Bronson and his neighbors, with only 3 or 4 police cars responding. I found it hard to believe that this gang was destroying the whole neighborhood and killing people, while there was very little police response at all. Then... I saw the REAL footage of the LA riots in the 90s. You see massive rioting & chaos and NO cops in sight! So, perhaps this movie wasn't so unrealistic afterall??

I saw this movie 20 years ago and found it a comedy. It still stands up as one of the greatest non-comedies (that ended up hilarious) ever made. I love this movie!
