Im probably moving there. And since I'm used to 80 inches of snow here in Michigan, 25 inches per winter shouldn't be that bad (according to wikipedia thats what ND gets). What will be bad is temperatures that are much colder than Michigan.

Actually we've yet to have a single day this winter below 0. It was 50 on the 17th of December. This Christmas won't be a our first without snow, but it will be the first one I've ever had.

not just the oil wells, though that helps immensly. Because of the low population employers are struggling to keep even a skeleton crew running really anywhere. It took me less than a week to find work after I moved here to Grand Forks.
