  • every buckethead's bass solos are the same ;p

  • @m4rtin77 and all trolls are the same

  • Can some1 tell me what bass he's playing

  • @Whitemoon379 Vigier Excess

  • @xKoblec THanx!

  • most amazing musican ever!

  • @ImmaCutYouUpSoBadYO not even close! but he is awesome as hell!

  • is that a 5 string music man stingray

  • Bucket and That one guy i hope i see that show before i die!!!

  • Funky...just like 70's porn (without all the pub hair)

  • oops hit post

  • 2:44 :]

  • And that is why Buckethead is my only GOD

    :)

  • Dude, people aren't even dancing or bobbing there heads to the music because they are simply in shock! Just watching his hands move...

  • So that's not Claypool on the whamola???

  • @eccho13 no its That 1 Guy on the Magic Pipe look him up!

  • bucket knows how to kick a groove

  • Someone told me buckethead will probably die from playing the guitar so much...

I told them "Then I guess he'll die happy"

    Rock on Robot-Alien-Chicken-man!

  • Holy freaking crap, At the end he hits around 275 BPM...

  • he probably learned this from one of his best friends, Les Claypool of Primus!

  • LOL 6:38 "Are you real!?!?"

  • wow brian caroll have many talents nice

  • buckethead is awesome but don't forget bout that1guy he makes so much kewl beats and its kewl that he makes his own instruments combining with buckethead is masterpiecing eargazmickly to the ear

  • i've asked this question about 100 times, but what kind of effect is buckethead using? people tell me it's and envelope filter, but i have the bassballs envelope filter, and i can't get it to sound anyting like what this sounds like.

so please, can anyone tell me, what the hell is he using?

  • He's the master of effects. It's really hard to match a lot of his stage tones on guitar so it wouldn't surprise if it was the same way with the bass.

  • Line 6 MM4 its the Tron Up setting

  • @crashtasticdave my guess is a really nice envelope filter, could be an ebs bass iq, boss syb, lovetone meatball etc

if you like the bassballs you should consider getting the new ehx enigma q balls, its mind melting

  • @crashtasticdave i think its cuz he flicks the string outward from the body, like gets his finger under it and pops it up

  • buckethead is one of the few muscians in the music industry today that has actually played his instrument(s) for over 10,000 hours, thus making him a master at the instrument... if your wondering why he is so good

  • that's not a stand-up bass. that's a magic pipe!

  • this is fuc'ing awesome

  • I'm seeing him on the 24th. It's gonna be fucking amazing.

  • Nice, I'm seeing him the 21st. It's gonna rule.

  • Playing Guitar, Eating, Sleeping and Going to the bathroom is probably all he does so of course he's good.

  • it appears almost true there is nothing buckethead cant play

  • I think saying Buckethead isn't human or is a mystical being because of his talent is kind of an insult. The way people become masters in one particular craft or another is by serious, dedicated work. Who knows at what age Buckethead started learning to play musical instruments; my guess is very young.

He's as good as he is because he spends every day practicing. We should be admiring that dedication as much if not more than his incredible skill.

  • He started guitar at 12.

  • He started playing when he was 12 circa 198? so he's been playing for more than twenty years at least. And I definitely agree with you about the dedication it takes to be this good at what you do but at the same time there's tons of musicians out there who have been playing twice as long and are nowhere near as incredible a musician as Brian Carrol. So in my opinion he's got a little something extra. Which makes him god :-P lol

  • @gehennaspariahs he was beyond that even when he was just 18...just like paul gilbert

  • @gehennaspariahs he started plyng around 1981, so it's been 30 years. Wow, he's been playing for longer than I've been alive. But it's done him some good.

  • @eeriezero yeah I know right! Craziness. Hopefully he has many years keft even though the extensive library he has now could keep me happy for the rest my life.

  • @gehennaspariahs by that hes been playing 30 years :O

  • uber buckethead

  • i love that bass, anyone know what company makes it?

  • buckethead, PLEASE come to england!! best guitarist ever, and one of the best bassists alive.

  • I live in hope too, fellow Englishman!

    Pleeeeeeease, Buckethead??

  • +1 =D

  • 2.36-hicups

  • Bucket Head does a nice job here :D

    The crowd are totally warped!

  • u hack

  • half alive, he's half dead, folks just call him bucket head!!

  • @Tambourineman420 Face as pale as pancakes...

  • he isnt human....

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA

  • i have a feeling buckethead is more than just one man.

  • but he has always the same hands and style

  • proof of the existance of cloning technology LOL

  • Well, don't forget the spirits of the dead chickens that lend him their power

  • Comment removed

  • what is this?

    This is insanity!

I will not have any of it.

    But it still sounds great.

  • no...THIS IS SPARTAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

  • hahhaha whats with all the manic laughing???

  • AW DAMN I wanted to hear Stick Pit at the end...

  • hoyly fucking bull cock shit

  • Good Guitarist!!!!

    Good Bassist!!!!

  • that's definitely NOT... NOT.. NOT CLAYPOOL! i i dont know how many times i have to say it... I video taped this shit my self. its not claypool. its that1guy. hes been touring with B for the last few years. its NOT a whamola! its called the magic pipe. the whamola and pipe are 2 totally different things.

  • shit, i'm sorry. i didn't know what you meant by "that1guy" and thought you were being an ass. it's NOT les claypool, i should have just put in a search for "that1guy" before saying anything.

  • yeah hell shit Cant Buckethead come to Norway one day and take off hi's mask and jam little for us :D

  • take off his mask no, jam, not in Norway. Hoping he heads to St.Louis sometime. =)

  • 5:16 <3

  • Yea Come to norway man!

  • im pretty sure its a signal for them to start playing

  • yes, or to signal that he's ready to change the beat.

  • come to naples

  • Come to Norway!!!!!!!

  • 0:20 was someone gonna attempt to clap to that?

  • ok buckethead is officially the best all around musician ever he plays every friggen instrument like a god

  • well, this man is amazingly open to the forces that are strong enough to be manifested still within the human frame.

  • he's using a musicman stingray!! ^^

  • not even close....

  • oh my god..wonderful!!!!!

    buckethead rocksssssssss

  • Almost sounds like a slight bit of autowah mixed in there. Big B never ceases to amaze me...nobody on this earth can play what this guy dreams up.

  • oh my fuckin' God! Whata hell was that! O.O

  • thast wat i said!

  • can anyone tell me which effect he's using here?

  • hes just slappin'

  • he's using wah

  • is a phaser.. I think..

  • i still cant believe how amazing this show was. everyone just stood. jaws to the floor in amazement pretty much every second of the show. such a killer time.

  • HELL YEAHHH!

  • buckethead is a pretty good bassist

  • buckethead is now my new favroit bassist.

  • what hes probably doing is that he equalized his amp to slap (slapping technique, which consist of the slapping and popping)and probably a distortion pedal and there's another

    behind him playing another bass

  • I recent bought a very nice washtub bass. i thnk its teh same as that man has

  • I some how doubt that his is not a washtub bass its custom built by that1guy

  • its the magic pipe buttons wired rigged up so when he hits them recorded sounds play n so on n so fourth custom made by that 1 guy

  • wow!!

  • i love watching videos on youtube naked! E

  • What's new, eh?

  • thanks man i appreciate it.

  • He's using a pedal called an envelope filter. They're great

  • what exactly is buckethead using to get his bass to sound like that? is it just a Wah peddle, or is it some sort of combination of Wah and something else or what?

  • I'm pretty sure Bucket is just using a wah pedal..

  • he doesn't use a pedal, use his wonderful hands xDDDDDD

  • its not a one string its whamola

  • He Was Raised on The Bass Bitch!

  • lets see you play that "one string" and make it sound that good. that one guys is funkin sick man.. he plays a 2 piece pipe w/ 1 string on each section, it also has 3 buttons and 3 kick pedals! 2 are kick drums and one is an effect.. and hes known for playing a saw & a boot. hes alot more skilled then people give him credit for!

  • It's the same with Buckethead, too few have heard of him, and he's alot better than most guitarists and people don't give either of them enough credit for their work

  • um...wow.

  • wers claypool n flea wen u need em. thatd b amazing for them to battle

throw tom morello in there for kiks

  • buckethead for president

  • I knew he was good at different types of instruments besides guitar... but didn't knew he was that good =O

*hails the guy with the bucket*

  • sweet

  • trippy

  • he fuckin own every type of guitar going

  • This is a man of much talent, to be sure.

  • wow not only is he one of the best guitarists in the world... the guy makes me wonder if hes better than flea...

  • holy crap!! ok from now on buckethead is my new favorite bass player!

  • Buckethead is god..

  • sick ass funk bass

  • at 4:11 it sounds like a hooting owl

  • its awesome!

  • Awesome! Hopefully I can get this on one of his albums. It sounds more like a song than a jam. It's still awesome though!

  • hes using an autowah it sounds like... oh and my head is blocking the vid (thick dark hair, glasses) in some of this footage.. my bad hahah

  • This bass makes me want to hurdle thru space on my way to andromeda, and get there in 10 minutes.

  • what kinda effects is he using it sound sorta like chorus or synth?

  • sounds like an envelope filter to me...

  • ya i think your right

  • I'm gonna see Buckethead at Park West, May 31!

I wanna tape, but I don't know how do get this a quality this good :'(

  • thats sweet

  • i love this jam its awesome :D

  • GREAT BASSSSSSS JAM :D:D:D:D:D

  • no a whamola is totally different. that has a leaver on top that is used to control pitch of the note.. that1guys thing is called the magic pipe! it has 2 parts and both have a bass string on them it has fret markers and everything. it also hae loop and soundFX buttons on it.. that1guy personally made his instrument.

  • What is the instrument That One Guy is using?

I've been wondering since I saw a video of him using it in the beginning of Stick Pit.

  • For the 2000th time! Thats NOT.. i repeat NOT Claypool. Its THAT1GUY!

  • that1guy orbuckethead?

  • mmmm that 1 guy is pllaying along with him

  • and if you look over his left shoulder you will see les claypool. you gotta have skills just to be near the stage with him. nuff said. learn a litle more about bassists, the bass, and the styles of play before you embarass yourself next time.

  • that is not and i repeat NOT LES, i taped this show.. its that1guy like Kam stated 1,000 times!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I stand corrected. but the fact remains the same. buckethead > fieldy. nuff said, ty for the info on that1guy. and i admit when im wrong....im wrong....about les being there and thats it. bucket could still rock a kazoo.

  • this was a good show, i did get to see claypool with buckethead a few times, their amazing together!!!!!!

  • hahahahaha omfg plz tell me that was a joke

  • dude fieldy from korn couldnt play this if he tried, all he does his thump the B string again and again

  • thats bull!

  • Come on man lets be honest, its true, its a flappy B string that he thumps over and over in almost every song he plays. Fair enough its a relatively unique sound and nobody else does it, but Fieldy hasnt got a feel for this type of playing

  • Fieldy is garbage. End of story.

  • Fieldy, plays a 34 in scale ibanez, thats why his b string flops. when he hits it reverbs off of the frets, hits hitting it once for every two strikes. its a filler trick. hes an ok bassist, playing in a creative band that fits with his style. bucket can play anything, any style, any instrument. you could give him a kazoo and he would make it amazing.

  • lol agreed

  • Man i knew i should of went...

  • awesome dude ur name is similar to mine.

yeah buckethead is so awesome he could kick ass with a harp if he wanted to.

  • buckethead on bass, les doin a funky riff on the whamola, and some drummer dude, best combo ever

  • Not LES. its That1Guy and its not a whamola its a magic pipe, 2 totally different instruments. and the drummer is Pinchface. Glad you like the video.

  • N0T Les Claypool. It's That 1 guy for the 50 billionth time and he is not using a whammola he's using the magic pipe look it up!!!

  • That was completely fucking awesome.

  • this guy is so talented he could probably get the leafs out of last place and win the cup which is very impossible but he could do it

  • lmfao, i like the hockey analogy...

GO buckey! thats an awsome jam...

  • holy fucking shit this is awesome! The force is strong in this young jedi crazy prodigy unknown mystery guitar mracle working sunny beach!

  • Ugh his thumb must be so calloused. My god has anyone seen his forearms and hands? THEY ARE FREAKING BROLIC!!!

  • i love how he just stands up he's so the man

  • i knew buckethead could play bass, but not that good! thats amazing

  • does any know if there are any studio tracks/albums like this made by BH or that1guy?

    nice one

  • Bucket does some of the bass owrk on his music, I think on jump man the funky bass line in the break

  • robot transmission on giant robot

the entire song is just a bass jam with buckethead on bass

  • oh yeah, thats pretty sweet
