Ok, can i ask a slightly stupid question? What is Goattracker? Is it a sequencer like Logic pro, Cubase, pro tools etc only its for creating C64 music?? Please enlighten me... I am really interested in creating my own C64 music is this the best way? Ive experimented using c64 samples in logic pro, which is ok, but there isn't much control over manipulating the sounds etc....please help! oh and is it easy to use? do you need a knowledge of programming a C64 in basic or anything like that?

@bassistnickwebster Goattracker is a tracker made for creating C64 music. It allows good control of what sound you get and uses C64 emulation to output the sound. You don't need to know basic, but because goattracker uses a tracker interface it won't be easy to learn how to use it if you haven't had former experience with trackers.

This is awesome! Did you record from a real C64 (sound and video)? I've heard that Goat tracker works with HardSID. I'm going to buy a HardSID this summer I think; what format does the Goat Tracker save songs in on pc?(assuming that this tracker works on pc too)

The song-projects save as goattracker .sng files, while as .sid export for game-demo or just listening use is also possible.

Good stuff. Have now studied the very cool video's text which indicates the notes to press. I don't see any flats and sharps (the black notes) indicated, which says it's actually in the key of C - good old C that tons of pop music and tons else is written in. Don't matter if you're totally not sure - maybe the program doesn't show sharps and flats. Anyway, if you think you might be in error about that A key, no problem, but please lemme know. I'll have time soon to play around wid it n find out.
