That's remarkable how those 5" drivers really help the tunefulness of the bass in its upper register. I'm used to hearing the upper tones and attacks be 'rounded off' by 15's or even 10's, and when the cabinet has a treble horn it's usually not integrated by a proper crossover, just a high-pass capacitor and a level control (which is usually set too high); the PJB sound is closer to what a bass sounds like through the board headphones when running direct.

Sorry about my previous comment-I ment it as a joke. I think they are making a joke having a 2 string bass. Here is my confession-Phil Jones makes a wonderful product and I shamelessly retract my previous comment about the missing 5" Jensens from car doors in my neighborhood. I play bass and in the 1970's I used 18" speakers and as decades went on they shrunk to 10's. Phil Jones is smart-multiple small speakers are punchy and sound great. The 2 string bass, now that is funny!

that Fender V, yeah, DON'T SELL IT! That is an absolute one-of-a-kind. Very few were made. if I'm not mistaken, there only 200 ever made between 1965 and 1970.

I've always wondered what these amps sound like, I really like the lows, the third bass you used sounded the best in my opinion.

For a bass what strings should I use heavy, medium, or light. I know that nickle plated sounds the best, I'm thinking of going with the medium but I just want to be sure I should, oh and I'm going to be playing a lot of kinds of music.

The playability of a two string bass is weird. Your brain is constantly asking where is the rest of the strings. The neck is awfully small and seems delicate. You can tune it however you like but standard E & A are the most common..
