  • With a lot of pleasure and some proud I am thinking at the real champion, running 'Zarkava's Arc', that I brought back in competition, through my manual therapy. He ran this memorable edition of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, after suffering a severe locomotor problem. This crack means a lot to me and is a really good example of what can be achieved with this wonderful therapy. Please visit my website : topgalop.eu

  • It's a disgrace that we never STS Vs Zarkava. The winner ? Zarkava was unbeaten brushed aside no less than Goldikova twice. STS did the Guineas / Derby double and won 6 consecutive group 1’s. Keeping great horses in training would do wonders for the sport. The horses have years ahead to make babies. Plus early retirement is a selfish act and denies horses the chance to become legends of the turf. Do the likes of Aga Khan or John Magnier really need the money that quickly ?

  • STS vs Zarkava would have been fantastic but never would have happened. Top middle distance runners are rarely going to stay on following their 3rd year if they win an Arc,could diminish their stud value.

  • Zarkava gave birth to Sea the Stars Foal Today. A Strong Gorgeous Chestnut Colt :)

  • Never tire of watching this horse Zarkava and Sea the stars, Its a terrible pity Zarkava retired to stud so early, it would have been the race of the century to see them race against each other..

  • Great Fillie, this was equaly as impressive as STS win last year

  • Great video, wish it was HD...

  • Never tire of seeing this. Mind you I never get tired of watching top class racing.

  • Zarkava and Zenyatta ROCK!!! Go the QUEEN Z's

  • See The Stars has been sent over to breed with Zarkava, so what a horse that may be. Zarkave would have beaten S.T.S (In my opinion) she beat Youmzain easier than S.T.S did in nets years Arc. Also look at how great Goldikova is now, yet Zarkava brushed aside twice. It's a crying shame that horses like this and S.T.S get taken away from us, imagine what that do for racing if Zarkava, S.T.S and Zenyatta all lined up in the Breeders Cup in November.

  • @denilson200 Agreed. Apart from Goldikova there are not many champions running beyond three. If Workforce continues winning he won't be back next year. Shame but that is the way it goes as racing is a business now not a sport.

  • zarkava a fantasic horse

  • very true gives me goosebumps!! this horse got me into the sport then she leaves!!! I wouldnt hold my breath on seeing such a horse race again!

  • i was on at 8s get on the filly!

  • what a great filly man, i may be wrecked but this is special, ill never see another like her, love her to pieces, she was just ment to be, brilliant arc, she would have made sea the tars work really hard for his monmey, hes a great colt but this filly is just the be all and end all forme, peacu

  • McGrath and Simon Holt are world's apart from everyone else. The other commentator who calls the last 2 Arcs for At the Races is awful.

  • Pity she didn't wait in training Sea the Stars v Zarkava would have been Epic!!

  • funny enough zarkava is being sent to sea the stars this year imagine there foal

  • Starkava!!!

  • what price u hink ul get on the foal being named that. its a fuckin jailcase

  • @thomascawley .Hubiera ganado ZARKAVA,seguro.

  • @thomascawley yeah i honestly the filly may of had his measure

  • @thomascawley would have been epic?? zrkava would have crushed sea the stars!! with ease...not debatable bud

  • @bigfred3217 Sorry mate. Extremely debatable! Unfortunately we were robbed of an opportunity to see them go head to head. 16 races between them?? I'm all for protecting breeding interests - but for f*cks sake... it's also a spectator sport. These great ones come along so seldom, it'd be nice to see them race on as at least 4 year olds. Even if they only raced them once or twice.

  • @bgardiner2000 - but do you not see the problem? One of the two "Greats" is going to have a 2 after their name.

  • @bigfred3217 - I agree with bgardiner. Sea The Stars won some races from very difficult spots in the pack , and could clear and win by 2 lengths every race. Like Henry Cecil said, He only wins by 2 lengths because he never needed to be asked for more then that. 2 lengths is as good as 10. A win is a win, and he made it look easy, when other great horses would have packed it in. Zarkava is the ONLY filly I have seen that could be put up top of a list alongside the Great filly Ruffian. JMHO.

  • @Nucleo85Torino

And Zarkava won ALL her races by at least 1.5 lengths without using the whip (never). So her limits are really unknown.

  • @Nucleo85Torino I absolutely agree. For me Zarkava rates with Ruffian which is the highest praise a filly can get. She was a filly of spectacular brilliance many pounds superior to any since Miesque nd much better than the superb Goldikova. She really is comparable the the almost incomparable Ruffian.

  • @thomascawley really wouldnt have been epic..she was a superior racehorse and would have handled sea the stars with ease

  • Zarkava

    Queen of the World

    La Reine

    Fabulous.

  • Brilliant!

  • Gave me goosebumps.

  • class

  • Glad to this see this great video back again. Awesome job.

Can you get me the name of the track announcer? I've been searching for it since I saw this before. We don' have anything close to him in the Sates

  • Its Jim McGrath who is the BBCs senior racing commentator.
