That was a great blog. Giving up luxuries in order to follow more closely to the Devine is such a beautiful concept! In Buddhism, the practice of renunciation is a staple! However, I've never heard anyone say " I wanna struggle" Christian, Buddhist or otherwise. I appreciate your heart and desire to be closer to God.

Thank you! i really needed to hear that, and what you were dealing with, the last year i didnt think i needed GOD, but now with no Job and moving to Maryland from Albuquerque far from my friends and family Its now more then ever that i have been so focused on what God has given me. How i forgot that all i have in my life is god and now it just brakes my heart cause i tend to only come to god when i need something and never really just thanking him for allowing me to struggle. Thank you!

Another great blog, man. I think it's not just Americans who have gotten complacent. Ya, we are incredibly blessed to live in such a great country like ours; but I think people in general call on the Lord during times of testing. When things are better, they forget how God was there for them. Amercians are blessed; but not the only ones to forget.
