Not really, it would have just become a ripoff of Ouran.

The goal here is to make it a shoujo-centric series (with a bit more Kyon-Itsuki for the fujoshi fangirls).... and still retain the awe and wonder that made the original series so good (I personally liked the series for aspects other than moe and girls)
