@KrasserBruder1 - thanks for your remark! With all due respect, I'm interested to know how you personally quantify LLs success in hip hop - 13 Albums for Def Jam, and how would you deflect KRS1s remark that LL is a cultural hip hop icon. I respect all peoples thoughts but saying he is Nothing in the rap business is one hell of a statement! How would you deflect Game, Nas and Jay Z remarks that LL is a legend.
i say only one thing i know only 2PAC in this buissnes u know what i mean nigga? enough or should i hold another statements what i am think about hip hop ?
ok he has 13 albums LL but thats not my style yes its posible thats he is a legend i mean LL but a half legend ;)
@KrasserBruder1 - Everybody has their own taste and style. However I think Hip hop has so many beautiful artists! They each bring something different to the table with their diversity! Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap, Rakim, KRS1 - Tupac, Big! There are so many to only like one for me at least but then I respect another dudes opinion. Personally though I could never eat the same food daily. One MC might talk about life and how to elevate yourself. Another might talk about hood reality and struggles!
@KrasserBruder1 : I respect what you said, since I don't check for todays commercial artists either. However the term hip hop is dead was famously penned by Nas. When asked he said not so, he was merely making a statement! There is still a real underground movement but we have to dig even harder to find it. In reality as long as you can still play the old music hip hop will live forever. For example people like James Brown have passed on but funk will never die because you still have the music!
@lettingyouknow1 I think this is a real interesting question u posed. 2 me it goes with the title Ladies Love Cool James + his rhyme back then - lotta I'm the greatest etc/Jinglin Baby u know? Flash forward 7/8 yrs & what changed? :) I get where people r coming from KRS included. But to me LL's kind of a bit 1 trick pony & never really evolved. Which is cool if u've true game. Seems peeps givin him most props r well JZ 4 example - suit & tie (i weep lol) JZ should check Wrath Of The Math I think
funny how his lyrical ability is always doubted

@Dukke214 The real question is what old school rapper IS an actor now? And being in their own movie like Eminem doesn't count.
DavidCappola 1 year ago
@DavidCappola that question was supposed to be for you,
hmm well lets see. lupe fiasco, common, nas, ice cube, 50 cent, tupac, biggie, cassidy, I can name a feww.
u prolly have no clue who either one of them are.
Dukke214 1 year ago
@Dukke214 Like i said being in their own movie like 50 cent, Tupac, Biggie, and such don't really count. And Lupe Fiasco isn't old school bro...
