Looks like you did a good landing..can you describe your landing?..how high were you?..did you flare and come to an almost perfect drop? I love gyros and one day will own one...so, I want to hear all about it.
This is NOT a CRASH. It is an unscheduled off airport landing.
After an engine failure, a controlled decent to landing in a marsh that lands upright on the wheels with No major damage (other than that caused by being submerged in water) does not qualify as a crash in my book. And Thank Goodness it was so.
We waited until low tide, pushed a skiff out to the plane and pulled it out of the mud onto the skiff and used a truck and winch to pull it back to the shore. The problem turned out to be that the battery hadn't been properly connected to the alternator and we lost power about 30 min into the flight.
Sorry, no video of that! You can see for a split second the dock we waded over to. Some people met us out there and pushed a boat out to us and pulled us back in. I didn't tape it cause I didn't want to risk dropping my camera in the water!

What about the extraction.....did they put tubes under it and float it back to shore?
