Well Mahdavi. There are lots of definition of how a Turk is and how to describe him. How can I tell you.. its a bit hard. Lemme start like this. There are different branches like: Culture, race and language. The Yakut Turks for example are more mongolid but still talking Turkic (Turkish) and they except that they are Turks and its also accepted by historians and so on but they are not real Turks. Culture, like the Fins (Fin-Ogur) are also 'Turks'.. well more Turanian because..

About the 'turkifying' of that region.. like I said before. The Oghuz Turks (Akkoyunlu Empire, Karakoyunlu Empire and the Safavid State) settled there and then it became Turkish.

About 'this' regime.. it's not only THIS regime if you mean just ahmedinijad or whatever he's called. It was always like that. Turks never had rights and they still don't have.

And about the Seljuks. They weren't persoturkic. They kept their own Turkish tradition. It is quite evident.
