  • 1:27 - After Locke asks "Did you say that?" and Jack replies "See what?" , I just adore how Terry O Quinn captures the memory rushing over himself - the nostalgia and even love for Jack in that very moment. Very touching, very beautiful scene.

  • the true hero of the Showe :)

  • Such a beautiful moment. Life offers experiences for this awakening.

  • 1:35 and 1:58 melt my heart into itty, bitty Locke-loving pieces.

  • I think, when Locke said to Jack"you don't have a son", Jack had been aware of something about his son..His reaction is very curious

  • I want Eko remember!

  • @MinecrftHasSwag Watch season 3 episode 5 if you want an Eko remembering scene.

  • The main thing I disliked about Locke, was when he wanted to remain on the island he felt the need to prevent everybody else from leaving. He was the kamakaze pilot on Lost.

  • @Tehui1974

The whole reason why Locke tried to prevent the others from leaving the island is because he though they were there for a reason. If he hadn't have done those things, the island wouldn't even exist anymore! I disliked Locke for what he did at the time, but it turns out in retrospect he was 100% right to do it.

  • His flashes are the shortest because Locke would be the one to accept his death and the island the most easily.

  • If only it could have lasted longer

  • Hmm, now Chuck Norris has a worthy opponent. John Locke.

  • "Jack, I hope that somebody does for you what you just did for me." That's everything. I love John Locke <3

  • When jack says "We are not going anywhere" and Locke gives him that smile because they're at ends again, like old times.......It brings me to tears.

  • Dammit Locke! You're brilliant.

  • I <3 Locke!

  • suddenly when locke shows jack his feet are not paralyzed, jack seems to get really mad at him or something, or annoyed. weird

  • I love how this scene parallels two difference scenes, one for Jack and one for John. It obviously parallels the scene from the first season where Locke gets his legs back, but it also parallels the scene in the first episode of season 2 where Jack performs the miracle surgery on his future wife Sarah.

  • Was Jack resisting the entire time? He would always catch a brief glimpse of a flashback but not actually remember.

  • @NuttyButties i think that is the whole point, the fact that Jack always had trouble letting go...

  • Remember way back in Season 1 when Locke said 'I looked into the eye of this island and what I saw...was beautiful'? To those who always wanted to know just watch 1:18 - 1:26. The clips of his memories in fact finishes on that exact moment when he did in fact 'look into the eye of the island'. Seeing into the life of things, the beauty in people and what we can achieve despite adversity, those are all the things Lost taught us and all the things which Locke began to see way back in Walkabout.

  • the music in this scene is so great

  • @HelloKellen well it's called "locked out again" after locke :)

  • Don't tell me what I can't do

  • John Locke is LOST!

  • I want Locke to be my Grandfather...

  • Locke was fucking amazing

  • I love lockes (Terry o' quins) smile -3

  • if john locke asked me to go with him, i wouldn't even hesitate. i'd just go with him

  • what a waste of a great character. John Locke died when Ben killed him.

  • @ireallyamjoeking and thats way i hate that lustful Ben! Locke was the best character in this show. when he was speaking i was getting stronger somehow :( <3 fantastic actor

  • I've done everything you've wanted me to do, so why did you do this to me!

  • this scene made my burst out crying... no joke

  • @moemoney012 haha me too :/

  • Locke "will you come with me?"

    Jack "we're not going anywhere!"

(Locke smiles) he's like :D same ol' jack!

  • locke was my fav character

  • 1:15 goose bumbs anyone ? :P if not turn volume up for epicnesss

  • Brings me to tears everytime i watch this scene locke was just brilliant

  • 1:22 the good old days

  • I have always wondered why locke had the shortest remember scene..so unfair!! hes the highlight of LOST..legend

  • @boomting24 He may have the shortest remember scene, but also the best one in my opinion

  • What is it with Jack and legs?

First he tells his wife (to be) that she won't walk again, and she moves her legs.

Now he tells John he won't regain sensation for a while, and John moves his legs.

    Wow. Miracles...

  • @KahlanPendragon Notice that the episode where Jack fixes his wife is Season 2 Episode 1 and "I'll see you in another life brotha" is also said in that episode.

Its because the writers knew all the way back then that Jack would fix Locke's spinal injury in another life.

  • @Rude666 Never noticed that!

  • the only thing I wish for LOCKE is that they would have had Helen there at the church. He really loved her and I felt they should have had him someone to be with in the end.I just love this guy..And the music and kicks in when the flashback starts up gets me every time..its incredible.

  • @mikieson Locke's true love is the island

  • @mikieson They probably tried, but she was working on Sons of Anarchy and therefore likely wouldn't have been able to make it.

They tried to get the actor who played Mr Eko as well, but he demanded too much money.

If everyone got their way and was able to do it, I wonder how it would have been...

  • "I hope that someone does for you, what you just did for me" The way he says that, and just smiles with pure joy, how does one not feel anything from that?

  • i love how they still kinda argue lol, "were not going anywhere" oh jack .... great man , locke made you a believer in one life, and even another one.

  • John Locke is my hero. He had the most miserable life before the crash and he became a leader and a special person after the crash. It saddens me that they ruined the character by turning him into a smoke monster.

  • @p123970 How did they "run his character by turning him into a smoke monster"?

He wasn't the smoke monster. And it certainly didn't ruin his character - his character was dead. And this scene is the payoff for all his suffering.

  • @Damon242 That's your opinion, I thought John Locke was the most powerful character and IMO they ruined that magical thing about him because of the smoke monster. I know his character was dead. That's just what I think.

  • @p123970 My point is, how can you say it ruined his character when it wasn't even him?

What you said in response still doesn't explain that.

  • I am very confused to choose the best character of lost, Benjamin Linus or John Locke?

  • that face that locke makes at 1:36. the expression of being happy and sad. it makes me sad :(

  • Watching lockes flashbacks makes me nostalgic and happy within :)

Makes me wanna go back and see the first season all over again!

  • This was one of the most beautiful scenes from LOST. John's whole life was with the island and to see him reminisce about it brings tears to my eyes.

  • 1:41, first time I saw that scene I swear my heart skipped a beat

  • Comment removed

  • haha i love when jack says "we're not going anywhere" john smiles bc jack said that so much on the island

  • how do you fogot a plane chash

  • @MrFavoritesman like you forgot how you and your mother suck my dick every night, you little fucking cunt. now call that whore and lick it clean!

  • Locke was the best character on this show. Period.

  • @homecoolmods Locke was the greatest character in ANY show. Period.

  • @homecoolmods i disagree, desmondd was pretty cool, locke was also badass

  • @homecoolmods Hell yeah he was. Too bad they killed him off Locke's character in Season 5, but he was still with us in Season 6. :P

  • @homecoolmods Sawyer FTW

  • @homecoolmods

So, so true. I really wish they didn't kill him off so early on.

  • This scene hits me harder than any of the others. John was such a likable character. I wish his "remember scene" had been longer. I was always enjoyed the Locke character, when he smiles at Jack at 1:34 it always brings a tear to my eye.

  • One of the best scenes of 'The End' truely epic!

  • @ 1:55 "we're not going anywhere" [shutters]

  • Another amazing scene good old Lock one of my faviorites on the show..

  • Brilliant........1.19 to 129 just encapsulates all of lost:)

  • THE END = AMAZING. Any real fan of the show had to love the finale

  • i always cry

  • I wish this show kept going over and over and it never ended

  • One thing that I really wanted was a Charlie and Hurley remembering somewhere, featuring the part when they drive around on the island in the van, laughing. That would be amazing.

  • @wrathcard

Charlie + Hurley = Awesome Friendship

  • John Locke. Simply put, the greatest character in the history of television

  • that was one of the most beatiful scenes EVER! Fantastic!

  • The look on Locke's face when he remembered, the pride at the adventure he and Jack lived though together... terrific!

  • Locke recognizing Jack is the best.

  • why so short?! locke is one of the most epic characters!! wish there was some helen too.. just a bit..

  • @embracexthexstars1 I guess it was to show locke when he was a perfect hero during those first few days on the island. Before he became obsessed with hatches, blowing up subs, and being a leader.

  • @embracexthexstars1 I was disappointed at how short Locke's 'remembering' scene was too. =(

  • @AmyJay1993 I thought that same thing too until I timed them all, Lockes was actually longer than quite a few of them.......... Maybe I timed it wrong.......

  • @GrinningTurtle42 You could be right, this scene itself may have been just as long as the others - it's just he only gets about 4 clips from his life here and it just seems shorter... =\

  • I was listening to the Final Episodes soundtrack and this song came on..so i had to come and watch it.. so pretty

  • Time to go to heaven.... =')

  • JOHN LOCKE.

    EP!C.

  • beautiful scene

  • IM THE 108TH LIKE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I can't until I die and remember all of my past lives!!

  • as acting goes, terry o'quinn was quite simply world class throughout the whole of lost.

  • I can't believe how everyone can act so wonderful and amazingly great in Lost.

And the music that start at 1:35 when John smiles, that sad smile, makes me cry.

Sometimes i even wish that i was on the island with them, and died just to move on with them ;(

  • It makes me cry when Locke sadly asks, "You don't remember?"

  • I love the moment where Locke realises who Jack is!

  • @mjdvfc me too! :)

  • @mjdvfc Me too! The growth these two characters experience is one of the my favorite aspects of the show. I love this scene---it shows that John has already forgiven Jack for not believing him.

  • Felt so bad for Jack..hearing that he had no son...he felt so good to be connected to david...

  • Several possible reasons why Locke's is shorter:

    1) The editors were pressed for time. They were already way over their runtime.

    2) Locke was the least stubborn and always had a strong connection/faith with the island. His awakening was therefore much easier.

    3) Locke's happier moments were pretty much all in the first season.

It's probably a combination of all three. But I think #1 was the biggest. If you need to cut something out, Locke's awakening makes the most sense for reasons #2 and #3

  • I loved having Locke back in the Flash-Sideways. Smocke was getting on my nerves.

  • "Oh, did you see that?"

    "See what?"

    "You don't remember?"

I just love this show forever!

  • this gives me goosebumps

  • I LOAVED THEIS SHOW SO MUCH NOW I WATCH PRISON BREAK TIL I FINISH THAT ITS NOTAS GOOD BUT HAYWIRE DEATH WAS SAD LIKE CHARLES.

  • no doubt he was one of the best characters, just a shame that folk have had to make their own tribute to him, because lost only did an 8 second one

  • The thing I find with these remembering scenes is that I say to myself I'll just sit and watch the one. By the end I'm like - hell no - I'm going to sit and watch THE LOT right now! Cos they're just that good!

  • Dr. Shephard...he's waking up...it all makes sense now.

  • The first time I ever cried during lost was during this scene and every time I re watch I get some serious goosebumps.

  • The best character by far

  • I love how his flash only showed the pure parts of his island experience, which ended when The Smoke Monster encountered him early on. Ever since then, he was plagued with false purposes of opening hatches, pushing buttons, being led into a false leadership position, and being tricked until the day he died.

But those first few days, he helped people get food, taught Walt to hunt, and spent time with Boone, and it's great that only those moments were shown.

  • Oh how I miss this show

  • This is as close as we got to seeing a Locke/Jack connection, both having faith in the island.

  • It's a bit sad that what Locke truly loved wasn't Helen. They made such a great couple. It's a shame they never got back together. But i understand how much he loved the island. That was his escape, the whole world shit on him. I miss Lost

  • @whata86

But he truly loved Helen. That's the life he wanted, to be with her and to escape what his father did to him in the real world. In the Sideways, it is John who did something to his father, for which he carries the guilt that keeps him from walking. And in the Sideways, Helen does not walk out on John, she is the one who chose not to be with him.

  • The Man In Black made an account just to dislike this video.

  • @jabbamk1 :D I believe it was in fact another guy who made the account just to push the thumbs down. From The Man In Black to The Cigarette-smoking man: "Who will you order to do it?" - "I'll do it myself.. I have too much respect for the man". (Dialogue from The X-files episode "Musings of a cigarette smoking man" when they plan to kill Martin Luther King Jr).

  • Bless him, Terry O'Quinn is a brilliant actor. I loved how he looked so proud when he saw and remembered Jack.

  • Some people have been asking why he wasn't with Helen at the church and this scene shows why. He was with her in the sideways as a way of helping himself to let go of her, to have the time with a woman he loved. It would be wrong for her to be in the church because in the end she couldn't give him her love back. So it wasn't Helen technically speaking but like David, just an apparition perhaps of sorts. Nadia with Sayid was the same thing - she helped him get over the pain he had caused her.

  • Beautiful scene.

  • He was gonna marry the island, but Ben was jealous, no fanfics please. God forbid, no!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank You ^^ But this one is SO much better :

    watch?v=cncEhCvrVgQ

  • What we need to do i go.

We're not going anywhere! (classic Jack Line)

John's face right after that when he brightens up like he's thinking "oh good old jack"

  • " Jack, I hope that somebody does for you what you just did for me"

Such a great line Locke is so awesome

  • When Jack says 'We're not going anywhere.' It's like back on the island. :)

  • My take, and this is just my humble opinion, is that Locke was always the one most in tune with the island so he didn't need much remembering. Jack, on the other hand, needed multiple instances (this scene, w/ Kate at the concert) to finally let go and remember. It also explains why Jack's "remembrance" was the longest.

  • @bchen0709 Yes, I think so too.

  • @bchen0709 I think it's because those short moments in John's remember sequence were the only happy ones he really experienced on the island/to do with the island :( very few. Very few, but still as impactful and special, of course..

  • O'Quinn was really sensational on Lost. He conveys pretty much every emotion in this single scene. I do wish his "awakening" had been a little longer, bc in the end he was probably the show's most important character after Jack

  • John Locke...the badass with a heart of gold

  • By far John Locke is the best character on Lost, followed closely by Ben

  • The "We're not going anywhere" line is classic Jack.

  • @075X haha yeah and you can tell locke is like....here is the man i remember

  • This one is probably my favorite, but all of them are great.

This "remember" scene is superbly acted by O'Quinn, his surprised, confused look, then a face washed with the sadness of his life turns to a true happiness recognizing Jack, like a best friend or brother.

Fox emotes an excellent reluctance to let go, almost fear of the truth that lies in remembering, like before he went into the Hatch the first time, like he knew destiny was waiting for him.

  • @DarthCrimsonDeath thats why this show is the greatest of all time

  • "I hope someone can do for you what you just did for me." locke is the greatest character of all time. I will miss this show so much.

  • @dagodauer yeah he means I hope you remember me like I remembered you

  • Comment removed

  • @dagodauer Yeah Locke was a brilliant, well written character, and Terry O'Quinn was superb in the part. All in all, a very impressive show; I miss it too and wonder if I will ever see anything that good again!

  • This sends shivers down my spine when they remember.

  • @UnifiedPerfection I get goosebumps =)

  • He should have remembered way more

  • @NewReChallengers I KNOW! His was a quickie.

  • why weren't the remembering moments longerrrrrrrr

  • Locke smiling/crying when he remembers Jack breaks me down every time

  • Comment removed

  • "I hope somebody does for you what you just did for me"

why does that make me cry???

  • One of my favorite parts of the finale. It was like Locke was finally back.

  • Comment removed

  • This is the greatest moment ever.

  • True Locke 1.23 <3

  • 1:04, 1:08, 1:15, 1:16, 1:23, 1:42.

  • @Richard16Law ????

  • Tears @1:20

  • Even though "Locke" came out as the enemy in the last season, I just really love this guy. He loved the island because it is where his miracle happened.

  • it took alot more for jack to remember, he remembers brief scenes with locke and kate, but when he touches his dads coffen, full on remember!:D

    i love lost!

  • @toffy58 It took him the most time because he did not wanted to believe, he went trought the same path from man of science to man of faith. LOST is simply a masterpiece no matter what some may say.

  • the music was beautiful for all of the scenes and Jack's look when john said 'you don't have a son' was heartbreaking. I agree John's love was the island but still felt bad helen wasn't with him

  • @Garp397 I know - it was sad that John and Boone were the only two sitting on their own. I think they should have brought Helen in with John at the end, plus Ben could have come into the church with Danielle and Alex (I thought it sucked that he was left out!) then he and Boone could have had one each :)

  • they shouldve made locke's flashbacks as long as jack's...someone on youtube remake it!

  • muy buena esta parte, la mejor, y la musica que suena de fondo mientras recuerda, impresionante!!
