  • this is actually math core.do your research on it before commenting on it

  • type in " BTBAM best solos" please, just once, and sit back and listen to it all, but realize its only parts pf their pieces and with that band you really need to hear everything

  • i miss this shit <3

  • mmm its so good

  • free form jazzcore

  • I think this band is so talented and intelligent but more importantly ground breaking in the sickest way, I can see musicians who dont understand true talent will probably bash this, I can find beauty in this album and its huge!!!!!! good job Psyopus!!!!!!

  • This is Jazzcore ;) wikipedia!!

  • @thxpower How is this jazzcore? This is more like mathcore or experimental metal. Jazzcore has... well, jazz.

  • @DaxinatorProductions oh.. ok.. but i think this is like freejazz xD

  • god these guys are epically insane

  • Cuando se que me voy a levantar con resaca (casi nunca), me pongo este tema en el celu de despertador.

  • This is a hate comment.

  • @LeSk8trE Cool story bro

  • :D

  • this is the worst song....i have ever heard....

  • @NotoriousPlayer1 greatest comment ever. I hope everybody gives you a thumbs up.

  • this sounds like datura

  • @MickeyLWalker Agreed, Or a high dose Benadryl trip.

  • @D1V1N3M0M3N7S0F7RU7H ya lmao, benadryl and insects def go together XD

  • fuck yes I love this track.

  • For all you haters - Noise is good. Listen to The Locust you pussy bitches.

  • I love this.

    THIS IS A HATE COMMENT!

  • just because the rythm is to offbeat and complex for you to comprehend does not mean there is no rythm. The rythm in this music would make even a talented composer's head spin, it's purposely made to be difficult to understand, and ten times more difficult to play.

  • Good stuff <3

  • The drums ain't doing too much. No odd time sigs at all, don't get me wrong Arp and Decoste are tearing it up, the drums are kind of half assed.

  • wow

  • As a classicaly trained composer I can say that these guys are shitbirds

  • @LidlFisken as a fellow classically trained composer i can say that i am severely disappointed in you.

  • one of my favorite flavors of icecream

  • God damn. I'm scared to listen to more of their songs just cause this one was so much to take in.

  • I WANT TO HAVE SEX WITH THIS SONG.

  • My mommy's proud I listen this

  • dude i aint lying my bass teacher is the bassist!

  • ive seen these guys live 2 or 3 times, both at very intimate venues. ive been a fan for a long time now and the songs sound perfect note for note live. its not just a bunch of incoherent tapping on the fretboard..its an extremely well orchestrated fit of chaos. look up imogens puzzle p.2..the guitarist played it for us solo as an encore and having listened to it many times before hand i know exactly how it goes and he hit it 95% or better. this band is unreal talented

  • delicious

  • Chuck norris called. He wants his music back.

  • @hind281 Go fuck yourself.

  • <3 first time hearing them ! i love them!!

    -teddy brewtality<3

  • @bmth4eva1

    No, just no. Get out.

  • If you liked this song, I recomend that you listen this:

    Canvas Solaris - Berserker Hypothesis

  • Aweeeeeeesome !

  • talented at playing their instruments they might be. but this song sucks.

  • @fieldy409

    Sure fag.

  • Just as funny as my cooking...

  • I'm all for uniqueness in songs but when you cannot understand the lyrics what so ever it ruins the song experience for me.

  • dude, deleting comments from people you don't agree with?

    come on.

  • All I can say is... WOW... I've never heard anything like this before in my life. It's like Death Metal tripping hard on LSD and yet its so technical. It shouldn't be lost on anyone that these guys are very talented musicians.

  • dees niggas play in standard. so suck it

  • I saw these guys live and had never heard of them before. Sadly the vocalist wasn't there so i had the feeling it would be incomplete(not dissing vocals because i am one myself) but i was in a state of fucking shock from the instrumental set they put on. An amazing band.

  • I ask myself how long you have to practicse before you can play such hard stuff like this.

I'm a good bassplayer but this is so fucking hard. These guys are more than talented.

  • The category is Science & Technology

    :3

  • @GroovyMcGroovington comment was cool. til you put the ballface in there

  • i like it

  • Brilliant! Reminds me of the first time I listened to C.S.S.Ö. .-)

    Great post!

  • this is complete horse shit knowing that these people are alloweed to even own an instrument. can someone please give them lessons? its a shame knowing the music industry is coming to this.. noise. thats all it is

  • @ThePronePhase I'm not sure if you play an instrument, but even if you don't, you should be able to appreciate how ridiculously good every person in this band is. And if you've ever heard an actual noise band, try Merzbow, Hanatarash, Hijokaidan, you'd know that this is nothing like it. And, although I doubt you'd care, if you want to hear the talent that these guys have, listen to Imogen's Puzzle pt 1 or 2, and you'll see how amazing these guys can play without the "noise" aspect.

  • @ThePronePhase Ever heard of Math-Metal? Chaotic Hardcore? It's a hell of a lot more interesting then the bullshit you probably listen to.

  • @ThePronePhase the "Music industry" is all of today's mainstream trash.

  • @ThePronePhase shit dude, this has nothing to do with the music industry. you really think any major record label would have the balls to release an album like this? hell no. these guys are doing exactly what the fuck they want - they're not doing it to make you or anybody else happy, they're not trying to sell albums or get you to buy trivium's newest shirt from hot topic. you at least have to respect that if you can't stomach their musical direction.

  • every time I drive my car while listening to this band, I find myself going 15mph over the speed limit at least once.

  • for some insanely freakish reason i can't stop listening to it lol

  • been looking for these sick fucks for 4 years now thanks!!! and if you like this check into the moat!!!

  • I came.

  • The instrumentals are amazing! The vocals... not so much.

  • @Mesplaysdrums You listen to mathcore for vocals..?

  • kinda lame at first but gets really good later. strangely addicting! :D

  • I love it :D Its freakin amazing <3 Sexy ass beat man ^^

  • this band sucks monkey dicks lol

    J/k

Seriously though the vocals fuck it up.

  • respect and admiration and appreciation for this band, but it's just too abrasive to be enjoyable. Someday, I will be fluent enough in music to really get what's going on. I gotta say, it kind of reminds me of Behold... The Arctopus. Reasonable comparison?

  • @jsteele07189 No you won't. This has literally nothing to do with musical fluency. They can just play fast and do things that look and sound crazy, but there's no real music theory behind writing like this.

  • @TheRecluse26 why do you think that? I'm hesitant to believe that this is entirely random. I've heard "noise metal" before, and this isn't it.

  • @jsteele07189 its mathcore and dont listen to recluse hes a moron its very technical and hard to play

  • @aristacraticthug what are some other mathcore bands? that's a term I hear a lot but can't really define yet, like "djent", "groove", and "grind".

  • @jsteele07189 well you can try out carbomb, antarctica, the number 12 looks like you, the chariot, cycalmen, the algorithm, the dillinger escape plan, converge, and protest the hero to name a few well knowns. mathcore and mathrock both use unusual time signitures most bands sounds are hard to put a finger on and try to figure out. the only way i can describe it is...its like a mess that u have but u kno where everything is...its organized chaos and its damn neat!

  • @TheRecluse26

Newsflash: There is no such thing as "real music theory". When people use the term "Music Theory", 99% of the time they are referring to the rules present in and derived from the composition style of Classical European Tonal Harmony. This is merely one approach to music out of hundreds that are present around the world throughout time. Music in its truest sense is free, we just choose to subconsciously restrict ourselves when composing because of our own influences and tradition.

  • @nlo13 You have to learn the rules to break them :P

  • @lekremyelsew

This line is spit out by hundreds of theory teachers due to their infatuation with how classical tonal harmony works. Yeah, it works really well, because it is engrained in 99.9% of American's heads as the solution to why certain musical progressions sound like they just "work", due to the fact that they grew up SURROUNDED by only music of this melodic structure . There is no one set of universal musical rules, so there is no such thing as "the rules" per say.

  • @nlo13 There are rules. When two or more notes are played at the same time the human ear will find one as the most important. The other note(s) will agree or clash with the harmonic overtone series, making harmony or dissonance. The very basic properties of acoustics define how hear one of the most simple ideas in music: a chord. I think the same way you do, trying to free myself from the things that I assume or take for granted in the music I grew up on. But reinventing the wheel is a bitch.

  • @nlo13 Also, there is theory in rhythm, which music exist for something to be considered music. Even non western music that doesn't subdivide an octave into 12 notes has rhythm. Finally remember one thing, its music THEORY. You took the word rules way to literally.

  • @nlo13 Agreed! Especially with the European Tonal System; other countries still mind their own business. One thing was interesting, when I studied a bit: they say that the scales and tonality derives from nature itself - from the upper harmonics of a sound (let's say C; the harmonics go like C C G C E G Bb C [and further, but we can't really hear them ]- and that's C7 chord) so I think that nature and existence itself consists and settles the tonality.

  • @MisuAlexandru1 You are correct (referring to tonality deriving from nature) - And after a certain point, you get into the Eastern Scales that are inclusive of Quarter-Tones and Sub-Harmonics, that - Unless you've grown up around it, have spent extensive time listening to said music, or are listening to a band that is famous for it - Are literally almost inaudible to the untrained ears, since Western Culture virtually never uses QT or Sub-Octave notes. A great example of such a band is Ulcerate

  • @ThanatopicalRape thanks, I'll check it out! And yeah, you're surely right, because if we listen to that kind of music, we can easily think at some points that it's "off-tune" when we hear a quarter-tone:)). I recently found out that there are marks like "semi-sharp", or "semi-flat" to get to those notes. Cheers, man

  • @MisuAlexandru1 What you were referencing as natural harmony is just intonation. That tuning system hasn't been common in over 400 years, and if you played a song in it it would sound awkward and out of tune. Western music exclusively uses just intonation, which has a completely different overtone series, and is relatively "unnatural".

  • @nlo13 you are implying classical theory is restricted, when it is rather the composer and/or player that restricts themselves, this on the other hand is Grade A music, a true gem in music.

  • @IAMinDreams Nah... there are so many rules in classical music. Like... countermovement of the bass, no octave at leadtones (dunno the exact English term), no Perfect fifth in some cases etc etc

  • @tehpeasant doesn't matter, even in creating that music you aren't restricted to any "rules".

  • this sounds like noise

  • @RGdood your ears are obviously not working properly. sounds like success to me.

  • crazy talented but no groove to it. not even solid beat

  • I had an epilepsy attack when i listened to that first time

  • My neighbors like this song so much they invited the cops last time I played it on the stereo .

  • not trying to troll or anything, but, wtf is this?

  • @flip117100 You are trying to troll. Learn something about music/art and reconsider your question.

  • @logicape If I wanted to troll I would have gone about saying how much they suck, then mentioned that they have no musical talent.

But seriously to me it sounds like some guy screaming with a tweaking guitarist. And being an photographer/painter, I assure you I know about art.

  • @flip117100 ur a dumb fuck for a musician or a group of musians to hit these notes precisely everytime they play this song is more than talent ...its genuis of the art of music

  • @flip117100 if you had a clue about art, you would not be so ignorant towards other artists work. You should also be able comprehend that even the mot abstract of work is still art. This is the equuivalent of abstract art, just in the form of various sound waves and different frequencies, not visual art. An artist or musician who comes to anothers work only to express their disgust of it, is no artist at all.

  • Technical, but sounds like noisy shit. And this is coming from someone who listens to Cephalotripsy, Brain Drill and Hour of Penance. There's heavy, there's brutal, and then there's shit.

  • yeah, and those generic tech death bands you named are better? psyopus' goal is not to be heavy or 'brutal' . I am sure many people would compare the sound of the bands you named to fecal matter.

  • @VocalTest666 Well Brain Drill are more technical, even their guitarist is more technically advanced than Arpmandude, Cephalotripsy aren't even tech death, they're slam. Hour of Penance though, any metalhead would prefer them to PsyOpus, HOP are just incredible in every aspect of metal.

  • Doesn't matter what you think about the string players, the drummer is insane. And yeah they aren't trying to be Mozart, it's noise-math-metal breh.

  • This song made my cum too. I'm McGill weh weh weh.

  • @zackthecameraman OR the call themselves Noise-Rock.... like they do.

  • Once again .... how in the hell is this even music .. It's just noise

  • fuck that note in the begining.. u shouldnt care if some fag doesnt like this

  • 40 people have insect ears.

  • Fuck the haters

  • As a classicaly trained composer I can say that these guys are very complex musically... way more classical and contrapunal influences than most music out there believe it or not. There is a definite motif that holds the song together, and they understand how to manipulate the motif and repeat it in different instruments to make it interesting. Psyopus is a really talented group.

  • @releasethefrogs I wholeheartedly agree. Cheers

  • @releasethefrogs classicaly trained in SUCKIN DICKS!!!!

  • @releasethefrogs thats all true, but you missed the part where they did a bunch of cocaine before they recorded this.

  • @releasethefrogs Well said sir. You deserve my internets

  • @releasethefrogs youre one of only a handful of people on youtube that actually "gets" what theyre doing. it may sound like noise, but its really, REALLY well put together music with all pieces staying together really well.

  • @releasethefrogs Could do without the screaming though.....

  • I think it would be interesting if someone musically trained would explain how this song works from a musician's perspective.

  • @MrCl1nt It doesn't take a musician to tell you that the song has obvious patterns, though monotonous as it is.

  • My ear pussies got fucked hard, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  • You guys might think this song is annoying. but i dont.

  • It's actually melodic in structure.

  • yes it is noise. its the noise of drums,a guitar,a bass, and a guy screaming..... fucking noobs.. go listen to some iron maiden/metallica etc.. then get into like children of bodom and cradle of filth. then start listening to like opeth and between the buried and me.. then get into bands like this.. take a bunch of acid, and stop being such a shallow narrowminded fool

  • @whitewalls1222 dear god are we related? i couldnt have but the transgression better if i tried except for some old Zao and new(er) Emperor. yeah and learn your music structures and time signatures before you bitch ignorant people. these guy are sick

  • sounds a bit like cloacal kiss...

  • this is really intense.. I like it XD

  • pff. slipknot = soft porn

  • my grandma's favorite song

  • @Ozzie6009 LOL UR GRANDMA RULZ

  • I despise most metal, but this is awesome! ^_^

  • LOVE IT......I CAN LISTEN TO THIS NON STOP XD..

  • shit nigga, beef is beef is all i gotta say. let this nigga rip on the 6 string and tear shit up. fuck, every note the guitar plays, rips me. i can't express how much these dudes rip. i would rip my face off at their show. fuck. i'm out. R.I.P.

  • Comment removed

  • I had the honor to open for one of their shows, they are simply the tightest live band out there, period.

  • you guys are honestly all extremely ignorant.

you can't respect the musical quality of the compositions psyopus releases because it's to complex for you, or you can't get around how harsh the band is. respect it for what it is and don't try and judge it from an ignorant viewpoint.

this band, is one of the GOOD metal bands of today, 99.9% of them suck terribly, so to say this band is what gives metal a bad name is just stupid. i dare you to compose something of this complexity.

  • is this deathcore?

  • @Italynine2 mathcore

  • chris arp is too technical for his own good. I'd like to see him tone down the technicality and speed, and just compose something more "creative" for a lack of a better word. Too much shredding for me (albeit top notch and creative).

  • I really wish I could like Psyopus. But I can't.

  • Eh... This sounds a lot like Viraemia. That is, incredibly talented musicians, but horrible music. I can respect their abilities, but this is pretty un-listenable.

  • @851852093114208513 i listen and love both of those bands. yeah its out there but hell if you can get into harder music and enjoy talented musicians it should be quite listenable.

  • @LOLbackflip I've listened almost everything I've heard of at this point, and no metal band really makes me think "Wow, this is too much" anymore. Well... Someone showed me a grindcore band singing about an "Anal Sex Terror" and I drew the line there. It's not like I don't acknowledge the genre or anything. I personally don't like BMTH, but they're still a decent band, so I have nothing to complain about. It's the same thing. I couldn't listen to it, but I'll respect that some people do.

  • @851852093114208513 the reason you think youve heard everything is you are judging "everything" for heavyness.

P.S. BMTH fucking blows. the vocals are terrible, the guitars are terrible, the drums are terrible, and the bass is non-existant.

  • @JohnDeathMetal I'm actually not judging it for heavyness. I'm judging things based on how I interpret them. This lacks a real draw for me. I realize that they are all very talented musicians, but beyond that I have no interest in this music whatsoever.

P.S., I don't like them either, as I said in my previous comment. But I don't like them because, like this band, the sound doesn't particularly please me. It doesn't mean that they're a shitty band, it just means that they're not for me.

  • if you want to get technical then yes, this is noise. Noise is defined as a sound of any kind. Whether you like this "noise" or not, the facts remain the same. Your opinions are that of your own and you are entitled to them. But remember, Its nice to be important, but its more important to be nice!

  • holy shit what the fuck is this seriously??!! this is why people make fun of metal now-a-days seriously....and dont even get me started on the guitar...

  • cant remember what the technique is called but its clear that the tapping is supposed to almost portray the sound of insects kinda scurrying about, it may sound like noise, but they know exactly what there doing, and there doing it better than anyone else the now!

  • @bobthebath True.

  • so mathematical and full of energy

  • I have another plan. How about we all just grow up and realize that musical preference is relative. Metal is not "better" than pop music, or any other music for that matter. Neither is it "worse" than any other genre. We have to realize that different people are going to like different things. Arguing over which musical genre is better is like arguing over which soft-drink is better. I love this band, but I can see how people with different musical tastes might not. Peace and love.

  • fuckin wild ! I just wanta shimmy shimmy ya to this music !

  • this song is pure sexy

  • i love haters and i love this song it makes me feel invincable or however the fuck you spell it

  • ....so now that "djent" music is taking over the metal scene.

im somewhat selfish. i dont want this band to be popular anymore than they are

till like the next 40 years.

  • nobody actually likes this right?

  • @cobjch I actually like it. A lot of people do. It takes quite a bit of talent to play this stuff. I first heard this band three or four years ago, and I couldn't really get into because it was so different than the music I'd been listening to up until that point, but after a while my mind got used to it. It takes time to open your mind.

  • @cobjch i dont like lil wayne

  • There is no in between with music like this, its either "dude this is not music" or "holy fuck this shit is crazy".

  • @d00dbrahh exactly :)

  • Arp said that this song is supposed to soud like Flight of the bumblebee... on acid

    I think it's a good interpretation :D

  • hahahhahahahah more hatemail for u :) U FUCKING SUCK THE MEANEST BALLZ ON THE FACE OF THE EARTH AND U LIKE IT

  • this is the most insane thing ive ever fucking listened to, good stuff!

  • Comment removed

  • @devilevilwayz i like this idea, I really do. But that isn't going to stop people from expressing their opinions, no matter how rude they are.

  • @devilevilwayz Metal rebellion? What? Did I miss something?

Who said there was ever some great metalhead offensive against Pop music? I love Metal, but there's some really good Pop out there too. Thriller is an excellent album. Music is music. Enjoy it.

  • arpmandude really needs more recognition

  • YAAAY EVERYONE CAN PUT UP WITH MY BULLSHIT!!! FUKC YOU ALL!!!!

  • thisSongIsImpossibleToLearnWithOutTabs=(

  • @dodgersrcool This song is impossible to tab lol

  • @xxxPinkyGSterxxx haha, :p that'd be sick if I could just.. play this xD

  • @dodgersrcool I few guys have done it on youtube on the bass guitar

  • @ReeceHughesRocks yeah i watched that. blew my mind. just sick!

  • yo if you like this look up le scrawl

  • i scared...

  • I think I just pooped in my pants....

  • I think I can feel my brain melting after listening to that.

  • nikthedik your a moron psyopus has been out for years longer then iwrestledabearonce soo if anything they sound like psyopus learn your fucking shit befor you go posting moronic comments asshole

  • a little to much like iwreastledabearonce

  • @nikthedick123 oh fuck off, this was before iwabo and iwabo are really unoriginal and annoying. I liked them when I first got into metal but no they suck

  • @ReeceHughesRocks i know its just a little too randomized and fast and chaotic.

  • WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS MASTERPIECE?!!!!
