Actually not entirely true. And justice for all pretty much has no bass and is Metallica's most brutal album. BUT if used correctly the bass can amplyfy the guitar, give it that extra kick. A lot of people think the bass isn't important because they can't hear it, cept they do hear it but only the resulting sound, rarely the actual instrument, wich is how a bass is supposed to work - gravy for the taters, so it doesn't soudn so raw ;)

I love the guitar riffs though, dont get me wrong, but the amount of skill level that Chris and Rhandy have contributed to lamb of god is more. The guitarists have no doubt put a lot of effort, but not as much skill.

Without any of them you dont have Lamb of God. No other bassist can compliment Wille, Mark and Chris like John does. Also Willie takes the technical fast apporach to writing riffs which makes them sound amazing. Then you have Mark and his bluesy solos, they all compliment each other perfectly
