I've been practicing playing at "mode2" (left&A/2 as Kat, Down&B/1 as Don) for like a week. I can barely clear some ~7 star Oni stages with that control setting. :s
This Taiko game released 8th December 2005 so it came before of OTO2. Taiko game series has like about 10ish same song that what EBA, OTO, and OTO2 has (ie. this, popstar, lindalinda, monkey magic, ymca, abc, material girl, ...). It's prob just a luck that some of the song is the same since Taiko series has a bit over 600 different song. ;p
Rhythm games usually takes some of known songs and quite much not-so-known songs.
Game's name reads on discrioption as translated (japanese: 太鼓の達人 わいわいハッピー! 六代目) and it's part of the Tiko Game series.
There's a Taiko on mobile phone also but it's kinda terrible as far as I have heard. iirc, someone posted a video of that Taiko to YouTube with download link attached to it. ;)
PS2 connected to DVD recorder and recorded the screen to DVD disc. Then I triet to edit the .VOB file with a couple of programs and the result were terrible. Example pic:

It's very tiring to only use O and L1 and most of the time you lose your "rhythm". Try practicing on using both hands for fast songs.

This is PS2 game, but there's one Taiko game for NDS too (and 2nd one will get released on 4.24th iirc).
Played on PS2 and recorded on DVD recorder. ;)

Then I had couldn't figure other methods to get the file smaller space... I played the videofile and used some program that captures the screen. :S
Then a minor edit to the video. At least this video is barely watchable. :P
