  • Can you get williams through snap on?? We got a snap on guy that comes to my work every two weeks.

  • Ive had 8 cars since i was 16 and im almost 19 now plus im going to school currently to get my automotive cerfification. And i use craftsman and husky tools for my work because you get a lifetime warranty and home depot and sears is close to me

  • @beastlybertram18 if you go to an automotive school you may qualify for the Snap-On student excellence program. im in it and you get a good selection of tools at good discounts in some cases over 50% off

  • @13FravelJ im not in this just throwing out suggestions because your bickering like 4 year old girls

  • @beastlybertram18 you are in this because you posted a comment about use having a conversation. plus do you know anything about cars?

  • Why dont you ladies call eachother and bitch so your not ruining this guys comments.

  • @beastlybertram18 stay out of this

  • look it

     up

  • kobalt wrenchs are made by snap on not the same qualty but close

  • @mattv1256 Are you high?

  • @mattv1256 Lowe's and manufacturing partner J.H. Williams launched Kobalt in 1998, with the intention of competing against rival retailers Sears and The Home Depot and their respective Craftsman and Husky tool brands. Since 2003, Kobalt hand tools have largely been made by the Danaher Corporation. Previously made in the USA, Kobalt sockets and wrenches are now made in Taiwan. They were a part of jh williams for a little while, but not for about 9 years now

  • JH Williams are awesome I have some really really old ones my grandpa gave me.. Nice set by the way really nice..

  • Man, you have got some nice tools there! Looks like you bought them all at one time, rather than let them accumulate over the years, am I right? They look too nice to use! may I borrow a few wrenches some day?

    Nice video!

  • You should check the Stand-A-Metric sockets out on my channel. Nice video. Take care

  • wow nice collection! sk makes really good tools

  • if fyou brake a williams tool were do you get the warranty service on it

  • SK is great stuff, I want to add some to my tool collection. Good tour, nice and tidy, the way I like it!

  • Great video!! I am going to organize my tools with that foam as well. Really great idea. As for the SK and Williams tools you have I was wondering what the warranty on those are? I buy craftsman now bc I love the fact that I can walk into the store and return a broken socket or wrench. Do these companies honor their warranty policy like craftsman? I am always interested in good tools and from what you say both brands seem good. Thanks man

  • Really Enjoyed This Vid I love Tools And Im A Mechanic Myself And I Was Wondering What Do You Think About M.A.C Tools?

  • I think Snap on also owns auto zone's duralast tools because they look like the snap on and williams tools.

  • @13FravelJ I am totally in accord with your comment because I went to buffalo N.Y and walked into an autozone and looked at their tools, i saw a long 3/8 dr. ratchet with a swivel head, and the faceplate has the head wearing the safey goggles and replace worn parts/sealed ratchet do not immerse and the action on it doesnt have as many teeth as my snapon one, but ur right they are soooo fuckin similar and i payed 20.00$ for it, whereas I paid 70$ for a long 1/4 in dr. ratchet

  • @turbofanman1 Im not saying that they are exactly the same but they do have some differences, one main one being the price.

  • @13FravelJ No they dont, no where near snap on quality. Blue point and par x are some of the off brands. Duralast just trys to look like snap on.

  • @Gigglyable really, have you looked at a stanley ratchet. I have the flex head extendable ratchet and the front looks like a snap on ratchet and the back looks like a husky ratchet. how do you explain that one. plus can you prove that duralast is not a snap on brand, because a lot of duralast tools looks like snap ons.

  • @13FravelJ Well they are both made by the same company now! Husky has the same exact ratchet! What about the made in tiawan printing on each and every duralast tool? huh and the pliers dont look anything like the snap ons. The Wrenches and ratchets do look like snap on sort of but kobalt uses the same type of wrenches. They just want to look like snap on to fool people like you to buy them!

  • @Gigglyable that is how they can sell them for cheaper. make them in a different country. I didnt say that every tool is Identical, I said a lot of them are similar. If they look the same, then they are built the same which means they can perform similarly. so why buy expensive tools when there is cheaper tools that is made Identical. plus Craftsman is cheaper than snap on and they are both made in america, to me craftsman is better than snap on in many ways.

  • @13FravelJ The cheaper tools have a much higher failure rate. Dont get me wrong i love my craftsman wrenches and sockets but snap on builds them much better.

  • @Gigglyable even though cheaper tools have a much higher failure rate, all hand tools should have a lifetime warranty, so I don't worry much. If a hand tool dont have a lifetime warranty I will not buy it. even Harbor freight hand tools has a lifetime warranty. If I have the money I prefer craftsman, Kobalt, or Husky and up tools. I will only buy Harbor freight tools if I dont have much money and I need a tool.

  • @Gigglyable also just because it is owned by snap on dont mean that it has to be the same quality, because there is a saying, you've probably never heard of it but the saying is " you get what you pay for". if you want higher quality, you are going to pay more. plus a lot of auomotive mechanics use cheaper tools and they actually like them. plus you are a spoiled vrat because you are a young boy and you are buying snap on, mac and other big name expensive tools.

  • @13FravelJ Exactly! Thats why the cheapo Chinese blue point tools are cheaper! I have heard of the "You get what you pay for" thats why i buy professional tools dumbass! And no im not a spoiled little brat, in fact my parents are going through a preety tough money situation right now. All of the tools that i own i have bought with the cold hard cash that i have earned. Your just had because a teenager has better tools than you. Take a hike my friend to the snap on man, they're great!

  • @Gigglyable If you ever go to Harbor Freight, look at there air tools, then compare them to your air tools and other snap on and mac air tools. they look vertually Identical. the only difference, the name sticker and any other stickers on it. the metal construction looks the same. I have a craftsman die grinder and it looks like my harbor freight air tools. how do you explain the one.

  • @13FravelJ Actually they do not. They may perform the same functions but no where near as nice as my snap on does. Virtually on my snap on i can see the snap on molded into the outer shell. The harbor freight air guns use a sticker. Big virtual difference difference fuck-o. And no im not going to continue bickering eith you because i have better things to do, like using my tools.

  • @Gigglyable How do you know that blue point and Parx is an off brand of snap on, or that they try to look like snap on just like you said about duralast.

  • @13FravelJ

    Because Snap-On owns Bluepoint.

  • @doowstados Btw all of that racist stuff posted on that fight, that was when my account was hacked from this kid in school. Just started a shit storm for me, hope you believe me.

  • @doowstados prove it

  • @13FravelJ

Just google it, man. Snap-On sells Blue-Point tools on their website and their Wikipedia entry shows the history of Blue Point and Snap-On. Snap-On makes Blue Point tools for hobbyists or techs just starting out who can't afford full on Snap-On sets.

  • @doowstados I know that, I am just trying to get this other guy mad.

  • @13FravelJ Not working, i won on the last debate we had on my tools and i won on this one too! Go play with you little husky tool set, im gonna stick with American made tools that support us jobs you can have fun with your hf and husky bullshit :)

  • @Gigglyable How did you win on the last debate and this one. I may buy cheaper tools, but I have more money to spend on other stuff while you only spend your money on snap on tools and takes probably 90% of your earnings. Just because it says "made in the USA" dont mean the parts was built in america, that usually means its assembled in america. Do you know who eric the car guy is? if not, watch how a real mechanic acts like. type in the youtube search bar "Ericthecarguy". act like him.

  • @13FravelJ well in the last one you kept trying to "one up" me and i kept on swnsering your ridiculous questions. Plus the fact that im just a teen and probably know just about as much as you do. Yes buying snap on is expensive and it does take away alot of my money but when i am older and in the professional field i will have to spend less money then and put it towards cooler things like cars, family etc. Yes i know who eric the car guy is and he too is a pro look at his tools ......

  • @Gigglyable really, you think you know as much as me. you say the questions I asked was rediculous when in fact they was a test of your knowledge. since you said you know as much as me, I will do it again. What does WOT, TDC, BDC, DLC, ECM, and ACIS stand for. and yes these is real. you say if you spend the money on tools now, you will have to spend less in the future. when in fact tool companies will make new tool designs and different tools to diagnose things.

  • @13FravelJ Yes but the basic tools like wrenches sockets, pliers, screwdrivers, ratchets etc. Your are correct about diagnosis tools like scanners meters, etc those will become more advanced in the future

  • @Gigglyable the thing is, you like snap on and hate craftsman, but you have a craftsman tool box, why is that? And eric the car guy is a PROFESSIONAL,youre not. have you seen his 2 tool box videos. in his home box it is mostly CRAFTSMAN tools. in his shop tool box he has some CRAFTSMAN tools.so even pros have quote unquote "lower grade" tools because they started at the bottom and worked there way up unlike you who starting at the top.but you still have some craftsman tools though. why is that?

  • @13FravelJ Well if you have payed attention in the past comments i have said i love my craftsman tools! I have a sears within walking distance of me so if i ever break anything its easy to return! I do not see craftsman as low grade tools but i see snap on as a higher than craftsman grade tool! If you look i have plenty of craftsman and just started early to work my way up. You cant criticize me for having good tools bud, not gonna work!

  • @Gigglyable really, actually I can criticize because you are buying tools that you dont need. for example, your extension collection, you have a lot of the same length extensions. How many do you have exactly? you should only need a few of each drive size. If you need to, buy adapters to go from 1/2 in to 3/8 in, 3/8 in to 1/4 in, etc.saves money that way.since you like craftsman tools, and you have a sears near you, why dont you buy a lot more craftsman tools. a lot of techs has craftsman tools

  • @13FravelJ Ive gotten all of those extensions because just about all of them came from my grandpa after he passed, and it brings back good memories of him when i use them

  • @Gigglyable thats a different story there. If they was past down from your grandpa I dont have a problem with that. Do you have any extensions that wasnt your grandpa's? I can see buying some so you dont use your grandpas old ones so theres no risk of breaking them. Thats what I do, but I dont have many of my grandpas old tools. I do have some though.

  • @13FravelJ YEs i have some of mine i already got rid of them. Alot of Mac and and cormwell from my grandpa

  • @Gigglyable If you love your craftsman tools, then why dont you buy more of them?

  • @13FravelJ Take a guess brainiac! Craftsman is moving over to china, if they stayed in the u.s. i would have no problem with using them. However snap on still is better

  • @Gigglyable since when is craftsman moving over to china.

  • @Gigglyable Part 2, extension from the extension collection comment. you also have too many pliers. you only need maybe 5- 10 different pliers. you have pliers that are similar in size and length. so like I do and only buy tools that you need or if its on sale. If you need it and it comes in a set buy the set, its cheaper per tool that way. also in your updated tool tour for that guy you didd it for, you said that the HF wrenches are good if you are just starting out. YOU are just starting out.

  • @13FravelJ Why waste my money on shit tools. Yes i do have many pliers but alot have been given to me and im trying to make a better set of tools to go up at my grandmas house, just waiting on getting a good sized tool box up there. i only said that about the wrenches because i want people to find out the hard way that buying good tools pays off. So in the future they make better decisions unlike you! Get off my case dude stop trying to act like you know shit

  • @Gigglyable well I do know a lot about cars. Most of the pliers looks new or relativley new. some did seem old though.

  • @13FravelJ He uses snap on mac etc. He is a cool guy and probably dosent have to deal with total douche bags like you. Im glad you shit tools have a warranty on them, you'll need to use it. Ps gas is goin up my friend

  • @Gigglyable Actually i have asked eric the car guy numerous questions. like about the time when he nearly lost all his tools because his old shop got a new owner. and me and him act like professionals. unlike you who says you are so polite in front of customers. what if your customers could see the real you. then you would have a lot less buisness. also all hand tools have lifetime warranties on them, and yes including snap on. I have noticed that gas is going up captin ovious.

  • @13FravelJ I said that gas is goin up because you'll have to drive more to lowes to replace your crappy tools, captain idiot!

  • @Gigglyable really, lowes' Kobalt tools is nearly as good as craftsman tools, the only thing that I hate about them, is where there made. to me I cant tell the difference in looks and weight from the USA made and the overseas made tools. I would think that if you wanted the HF wrenches that you would have waited and bought the snap on wrenches when you saved more money. you havent answered any of my questions yet, the random ones in the comments and the automotive related questions. Why is that.

  • @13FravelJ Look at the teeth inside of that Chinese piece of shit! My neighbor bough some 20 dollar socket set from them and broke the ratchet. I took it apart and looked at it and there is no way that will hold up to a snap on or craftsman. I couldnt wait to buy the snap ons i needed those wrenches and did not have the money! Do you listen?

  • @Gigglyable what did you need the wrenches for.

  • @13FravelJ The wrenches are fairly new but none of the ones i had i paid full price for, ive gooten them for like 2-3 dollars a piece! couldnt turn down a deal like that :) (craftsman) The snap ons ive gotten for cheap too like 5-10 bucks a pair off of this one guy. Many of the pliers are goin to my other toolbox for emergency use

  • @Gigglyable you will one day need to drive a gasoline or diesel vehicle to work. and gas is going up and up. so one day you will have to eventually pay $8 a gallon and while I am retired you would have to pay for my social security. How old are you?youre spoiled because while your parents are in a financial situation, you are busy buying the most expensive tools that you could live without. Example, you dont need the air tools, you dont need all those extensions. all you need is basic hand tools.

  • @13FravelJ EXACTLY god you do not pay attention! Im buying good tools low so i wont need to buy AS MUCH when im older so i can put it towards necessities such as these retarded gas prices! Your probably not much older than me so while im building race car engines i will be able to retire at a younger age than you and you could pay mine while your doin tire swaps at pepboys. Yes i do not need all of those extensions and that why i got rid of alot of them.

  • @13FravelJ However air tools air important for getting rusted in bolt out of motors and stuff like that. Its jerky motion will remove them with a better chance of not breaking them

  • @Gigglyable what about a ratchet/ wrench and a hammer to create the same action.

  • @doowstados I am actually in school to become an Automotive tech. to me craftsman, Kobalt, and Husky tools work just fine for me

  • @13FravelJ

Craftsman Pro stuff is pretty good for actual techs who use them every day. Craftsman's lower end stuff uses components made in Taiwan and assembled here in the U.S. (ratchets, etc). Stay away from non-Craftsman Pro stuff and Kobalt/Husky.

  • @13FravelJ

You may not understand yet since you're in school but once you start making a living and your life revolves around the quality of your tools (for example, you break a wrench during a job or your lower end wrench rounds a bolt) you'll understand the value of paying more. For a weekend wrencher it's not a big deal to have cheap tools. though, and as a hobbyist who's Dad was a Smog Tech for years I tend to use Craftsman & Blue Point stuff while he only bought Snap-On.

  • @doowstados the higher end tools is made of the same stuff as the lower end stuff, the only difference is where its made. Snap on stuff costs a lot of money, Craftsman, Kobalt, and Husky tools are cheaper and have the same lifetime warranty. plus with Snap on, if you break a tool, you have to wait until the snap on guy stops by to get it replaced. that could take days. With Craftsman, Kobalt, and Husky you just go after work to your closest tool store and get it replaced the same day.

  • @13FravelJ Wrong again in fact very wrong. Snap on uses American made steel. Thats one of the reasons why they are so strong. If you test a cheapo Chinese wrench against a snap on or craftsman or cornwell and youll see the difference. Yes every tool has a breaking point but its the way it breaks. I Broken craftsman wrenches before and i only bent a snap on. With the snap on it was still usable "made with better steel".

  • @Gigglyable Steel is Steel, its made of the same material no matter where its made. plus if you read, they say that they are Chrome Venadium so its not just made of steel. plus since you are madly in love with snap on, why would you buy cheapo tools then.

  • @13FravelJ Yes but people do things to treat the steel like hardening it, many of the chinese brands skimp out on stuff like that and thats why the break so easily. Well i have very few chinese tools in fact really only one set of Chinese wrenches that i bought only because i had spent all of the money i needed for parts on an engine swap. I have already broken two of those hf wrenches, with the 600 i spent on the swap for parts i could have gotten a snap on.

  • @13FravelJ

You got one thing right, they're all made out of metal. Not the same stuff though. Metalurgy is important in the design of hardness and durability of metals. I've broken tons of Husky tools that I've gotten as gifts, never broken a Snap-On socket or ratchet. Nobody needs to wait to replace Snap-On tools because frankly, they don't break. The metal is forged better and the components are mixed better.

Watch some documentaries on tool making, you'll understand the difference.

  • @doowstados what about when they do break. then you have to wait for the snap on guy and hope until then you have a spare tool or a co worker would lend you a tool for the time being.

  • @13FravelJ

Oh, also, if you're worried about ease of replacement pay a bit extra and go with Craftsman Professional. They're built well and easy to replace at any Sears.

  • @doowstados I have heard about the Craftsman proffesional series. I have heard that they are built to be happily used everyday.

  • @13FravelJ Because my great uncle used to work for snap on in the 60's he often got to walk around a variety of different factories and watch them make different tools, he saw them stamping par-x on some of snap ons wrenches!

  • @Gigglyable Actually not just the 60's he worked their in the 40;s and 50's too

  • @Gigglyable thats in the 1960s not 2012

  • @13FravelJ whats your point?

  • Do you collect tools or work on stuff? Please buy US made tools if you care about tools or the country, support our future. Williams and "Snap-On" bluepoint are made in Tiawian. I know the profit comes here to some greedy dicks, but no jobs.

  • @bassgoat1979 Go to my site and you'll see an arsenal of US made tools, trucks, guns, etc.. I do have EU and Japan made as well however, but I won't touch China with a 10' pole!

  • Sweet collection !

  • Nice collection. Love SK tools!

  • craftsman is better

  • Have you ever used those tools? They all look new.

  • good video bud.

  • Yeah they were made in the USA. Ive never used any of the Williams wrenches. I have Sk wrenches. I use Snap on sockets at work and yes they are more heavy duty.

  • @Stayreadynow sk is still made in the U.S.A.

  • I like the Williams ratchets but as far as the sockets go, they are pretty thin compared to Snap On sockets. My Snap on sockets are thick walled and heavy duty. Are these Williams made in the USA? The Williams wrenches look pretty good too.

  • @MoneyMarcMes

The snap-on ratchets (NOT blue point) are way smoother. I will never go back to anything else after using those every day. One of the first things I have seen from snap-on that is WELL worth the price.

  • Just wondering were you got the foam and what you used to cut the shapes out with? Thats a great idea! Thanks for sharing the video!

  • @mattdavis44 I got the foam from some site off the web. Really dont remember but is 1/2 closed cell foam. I used a small utility knife that usually comes in window tint kits to cut the shapes out....

  • @Stayreadynow Thanks a lot! I think i'm gonna have to try this. It would definitely stop my tools flying about whenever it comes to moving the box around.

  • I've just got to say this video is awesome, thanks so much for telling us about Williams tools because the ratchets look exactly like snap on and it is so low cost I'm just curious where did you get your Williams tools?

  • @Bassman018 I get my tools through ebay. Just type in Williams Tools...............

  • Great Video, I m going to model my box like this one.

  • @mike10463 Thanks!!!

  • how much cheaper is a Williams tool than a snap on tool and do you know if the are available in the UK

  • @barnettboys13 About a $100.00 Cheaper. And yes im sure you can find them in the UK. Just do a little research and im sure you will find a dealer.

  • @Stayreadynow big difference might have to look for them next time im after a tool thanks buddy

  • Great tool set!

  • Nice box! I actually met the guys from SK at the tool show expo I went to, great bunch of guys really. Thanks for sharing this.
