@iwonshinobi well i had 8 fps but i got this mod called optifine, it allows u to fully adjust the settings to lower activity and higher frames, right now i get about 40 smoothly. I'll send u the Download link through the Minecraft forums

Seamus it was lagging because it was raining the rain takes a buttload of your ram because its particles that are small and to be able to have rain you must have small particles which take alot of your ram :)

FRAPs sux seamus, don't you know that? I'd recommend PlayClaw since I've done the testing and it works better, but it won't help you in MC because it can't record 64 bit games yet :/ . Apparently it will be able to in version 3.0, but Idk when that'll be. Still good for all your other PC recording needs though.
