I still think Rita is good for him in the long run, but for now..perhaps a solo Dex is what the Dark Passenger needs

If you watched for 5 minutes after the episode there was an interview with Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow where he clearly states that you see "Trinity's handywork on Dexters wife", so that pretty much confirms that it was Arthur Mitchell who did Rita in.

That sounds a lot like wishful thinking. Why would they allow Lithgow, right after the finale no less, to sit down with Michael C. Hall and basically spend the entire 5 minutes on something completely false? You think they'd make him look like an idiot like that? He basically says plain as day that it was the Trinity Killers handywork done on Rita. He then goes on to say how he wouldn't want to be a writer for the next season because of the huge challenge. Why would he say that?
Again the actors don't always know what the writers have in store. So the actors themselves might be led to believe Rita really is dead until they see the next episode/script. Half the fun of this kind of show is the anticipation and the ending was a cliff hanger in the sense that many people are questioning whether or not Rita really is dead, so why would the writers allow Lithgow and Michale C Hall to pretty much remove all doubt? Just my opinion
Okay I've changed my mind, read an interview with Clyde Phillips and watched the interview with Michael C Hall and Lithgow, didn't expect the interview to be so involved. I'd be shocked now if she is alive.
Reason i think its trinity is because the story line follows also...but thats what they wanna think, its someone who knows dexters past because why would Arthur leave the baby sitting in the pool of blood, he didnt know that about Dexter. So this is where i htink the next season comes into effect for his "Main" Target.

It's great fun. The series is about a kinda creepy mild-mannered Miami forensic homicide investigator named Dexter Morgan who is also secretly a vigilante mass serial killer dubbed "The Bay Harbor Butcher". However, he has learned to channel his desire to kill into only killing other murderers--bad guys who deserve to die--so he ends up being the good guy and we can root for him.
In season 4, John Lithgow does a fantastic job of portraying a bad serial killer; he's very creepy.

i really don't see how they're going to match the perfection of Trinity next season..i mean, having another villain is one thing, but i doubt he can live up to trinity. if it's all about the trials, that could get boring. i don't know wtfudge the writers plan on doing now

Yeah, watched the season finale today. At first I was a tad disappointed...but then the last few minutes started....and all I could think was "holy living shit, I can't believe that just happened!" I seriously can't concieve just how messed up the 5th season would have to be

Nope- Julie Benz is a hottie, but her character was kinda annoying. Always wanting to "talk about things" and all. We will see how they take the direction on the series next fall!

I know, but the thing is, Dexter is allways a winner in a loosing situation, this is the first time he loose without any chance to flip it the other way around...Feels to me like he is getting more a looser now, and thats what kinda kills it for me, I am not sad for the charachter of Rita, although she is a milf...

If you watched for 5 minutes after the episode there was an interview with Michael C. Hall and John Lithgow where he clearly states that you see "Trinity's handywork on Dexters wife", so that pretty much confirms that it was Arthur Mitchell who did Rita in.

That sounds a lot like wishful thinking. Why would they allow Lithgow, right after the finale no less, to sit down with Michael C. Hall and basically spend the entire 5 minutes on something completely false? You think they'd make him look like an idiot like that? He basically says plain as day that it was the Trinity Killers handywork done on Rita. He then goes on to say how he wouldn't want to be a writer for the next season because of the huge challenge. Why would he say that?

Again the actors don't always know what the writers have in store. So the actors themselves might be led to believe Rita really is dead until they see the next episode/script. Half the fun of this kind of show is the anticipation and the ending was a cliff hanger in the sense that many people are questioning whether or not Rita really is dead, so why would the writers allow Lithgow and Michale C Hall to pretty much remove all doubt? Just my opinion

Reason i think its trinity is because the story line follows also...but thats what they wanna think, its someone who knows dexters past because why would Arthur leave the baby sitting in the pool of blood, he didnt know that about Dexter. So this is where i htink the next season comes into effect for his "Main" Target.

Not really. Well there is blood. He is like a serial killer, but for good causes lol (Well it depends if you think it's a good cause).
It's a thriller, and it is funny sometimes. Just watch it. Season 4 is like Jesus' baby. It's that great.

It's great fun. The series is about a kinda creepy mild-mannered Miami forensic homicide investigator named Dexter Morgan who is also secretly a vigilante mass serial killer dubbed "The Bay Harbor Butcher". However, he has learned to channel his desire to kill into only killing other murderers--bad guys who deserve to die--so he ends up being the good guy and we can root for him.
In season 4, John Lithgow does a fantastic job of portraying a bad serial killer; he's very creepy.
