  • I think it as something to do with the cable that connect the throttle to the joystick. Or a conflict between the joystick and the throttle. I have the same problem with the X and Y rotators on the X52. Or it could also be some kind of dust inside the throttle. Either way, try to test the rotators without connecting the throttle to the joystick. If that doesn't work try to open the throttle and clean it. Then say something.

  • @Focha Yes I test it and for me it's the joystick. When I have the joystick plugged in the rotators start to behave strangely, in my X52 the red bars goes all the way left, as soon as I unplug the cable it behaves normally.

  • Yoo

iff you havent already fixed the problem

i have the same problem with my pro flight yoke and i realised that the metal wires within the plug that connect the yoke to the throttles in your case the joystick to the throttle were broken thats why the x and y axis were moving out of control

  • I would send it back to saitek

  • I've been doing extensive research on the standard X52 and the Pro version. I have an Alienware with Windows 7 64-Bit I keep reading so much about driver and axis problems with the standard X52. Can anyone give me any advice at all on Windows 7 64-Bit Compatability with X52 Standard and Pro? Is the Pro More Bug Free?

  • @LegendaryGoldDragon

It works perfectly for both on win 7 32 and 64

  • @funcionando yea im running on win7 32bit its fine i play fsx its great.

  • hello avra not fix it if this problem we have a lot to change x52.yo x52 and 2 times as quel tullo.lo nadasigue onyx that I can do is copy a new sin.ini to zero and saves me something works nuevo.si Comment it better, thanks

  • Can someone give me a link(s) to the needed software for the X52. I have Vista Home Premium. I think it is 32 BIT. Whenever I open up the installer it says " This program will only on Windows XP or 2K." How do I fix this?

  • ...and now it stopped doing it. I think maybe I should check out the wiring thing referenced earlier

  • I have the same problem with the stupid X and Y sliders. Arghhh! Win 7 64-bit. I'm starting to think its a Vista/7 driver issue.

  • @jpinard

Its not about the software it a hardware problem. It has something to do with the wiring inside, its not well assembled.

  • @jpinard

    It isn't drivers' problem

I've got a problem with twist, On my PC I've Win7 64-bit, on my sister's PC there is WinXP 32-bit. Problem with joy wasn't gone

  • Have you found that the MFD fails? I have found that during FSX, the FSX profile disappears from the MFD display and the MFD display remains blank. I found that more and more people on the Saitek forum have been experiencing the same problem for several years now and the Saitek tech people are useless and no one at Saitek has bothered to fix this problem.

  • i hate this product i just got it yesterday and it didn't even work and it froze my computer

  • I just posted video response. Mine was acting funny. My warranty was already void, so I opened it. I found 3 frayed wires, 1 of them was only connected with 1 wire. Explains why it was twitchy; it was not getting a clean electrical signal.

Once I soldered the wires back together, then made a quick mod so it can't happen again, the stick works BETTER than new.

  • cool!

Both my rotators on the throttle quadant ar starting

to go wack, so I'll give that a go. :)

Strange that noone has posted that "fix" on the saitek forums...

Btw, have you had the seemingly common problem of the joystick randomly "recalibrating" itself "off-center" mid game?

(If so, did you find a fix for it?)

  • couldnt you just doo that as soon as u get it... to protect it? pluss wat did u do to mod, like electical tape to coil them together, when y get it

  • whats programming language used to do your own code to customize the MFD with your game ?

  • Hey, maybe is a problem with the controler, just download the last version, update or something, but the Saitek X52 is the best...

  • I found the problem. It was because they assembled wrong. The cables inside were not properly positioned and this caused the problem.

I agree is one of the best.

  • i have a similar problem...my throttle works but the joystick doesn't..can you give me some info

  • sorry i havent dismounted the joy. If not in warranty try opening it and see .......

  • @europeanwonder2 Did you try configuring it and in what simulator

  • YES! I opened mine about 1 week ago. I found 3 wires were COMPLETELY FRAYED!!! I was able to strip them, and solder them back together. Now it works fine. I posted a video of it on my YOutube page if anyone is interested. It shows the frayed wires about halfway through the vid. The first half is just me complaining about all the problems the stick has had.

  • just take it back they have a 2 yr warranty

  • I dont know if you guys are unlucky but its the best joystick I have used till now.More than 2 years of hard use and no problem at all. And I do also have the FFB 2 but I prefer my X52 especially after I replaced the spring to make it harder.

  • i have x52 and problem with trothle axis.. i cant down it to zero pozition (0% throtle) and now in vista SP1 dosnt work stick. good job saitek.. a never more buy someting from this company..

  • No help there.

But the durability of both x52 and x52 pro,

is shit if one plays games that are action based. Ive used up one x52 and im on a x52 pro now, about 150hours and again, the stick part has broken a spring or something, its plyable barely. Otherwise its a great stick.
