Sorry, this is insipid compared to the original (1987), It's quite obvious that Terry O'Quinn's performance was genuinely disquieting to say the least. This seems contrived at best, completely devoid of any visceral body-shock horror. The original was successful because (1): it had budget restraints, yet never lost it's direction; and(2): because it married comedic timing with spine tingling terror. Jill Schoelen did a great job, too. It had 80's cheese with substance; this sucks!
