@Rawr454 it was a 4 cylinder engine that was standard. I don't think they ever even offered a V-6 in the GT. Definitely no V-8 engines were offered like the Corvette. They may resemble a small corvette but they had nowhere near the horsepower. Of course, they were a lot lighter than a corvette so they had a good power to weight ratio.
@DougCameraMan i have a 1969 opel gt that did come with the standard 1900cc 1.9l single overhead cam like this one but i am currently placing a 327 3.4l corvette v8 under the hood and ive already had the engine dyno'd when its finished i will have to post a vid so you could see it ive got about a few more months work left in the body b4 its done
What originally powered these? I only see 4 plug wires.
