The two main reasons that Libra and Aquarius get along so well is because both are air signs and therefore 60 degrees apart, forming a "trine" angle, and because Aquarius's old ruler, Saturn, is Exalted in Libra, showing a complimentary nature.

Also, the shared ruler between Libra and Taurus, Venus, demonstrates their similarity: both appreciate what looks nice and what is luxurious, but in different ways.
