Perhaps the positive critical reception his painting has received is some consolation, even if I don't care for it.

Captain Beefheart is weird,that doesn't mean he's not fun and kinda cool just that he's also weird. Most unique and original guy in the biz,definitely he wasn't trying to copycat anybody.

Whomever posted this vid is a moron though,this footage is from "Late Night with David Letterman" not "Late Show".

I realize the difference seems small but Late Show implies this appearance was more recent and on CBS. Kinda throws ya off when ya see such descriptions.

you gotta LOVE the handmovements! very describing and fysical, apart from beeing fun-good. and people talk about people beeing asses for laughing, but i might have laughed at some points, cause the things he say is good and also funny! he has good comedic timing. but yeah, the people laughing when he talks about the pelicans, that is no good. and some of the laughs when he shows his paintings are dumb. but i got the feeling most of them where in good fun, Don seems to be taking it goodly.:)
