It´s an allusion to the Song "Do wah diddy" from Manfred Mann. Kate sang this also as an intro to her song on concerts. "Do wah diddy" tells the story of a man, who loves a bewitching woman. He "nearly lost his mind", but she seems to be superior, because all the active verbs in the beginning are connected with her (she holds his hand, she sings, she walked...). This Kate Nash song is like an ironic answer to it.
