Onion whooped Oba's ass and you know it.

Oba missed beats and his moves weren't clean. His dime stops weren't that great and in his second round (the first round of his shown) he was being extra lazy with his arms.

I like how Onion was being flashy without being obnoxious about it. His moves were solid and clean.

the songs are horrible songs to freestyle to. especially in battle. no one is going to expect that long of a pause unless they've heard the song already. and yes i understand a good dancer would have good enough reactions to hit right when they hear it, but a good dancer also feels the music, and the longass pauses just destroys the vibe. everyone noticing that oba hit even when there wasnt a beat showed that he could hit hard though. lol.

I think that's a little unfair, for Oba's credit, Onion missed beat also at 1:46 and other times, but that first song was completely terrible so I wouldn't judge based on missed beats alone. Oba's second set was unbelievable, watch his legs go with the beat at 2:48-2:49. Incredible.

both poppers was dope, oba has some crazy ass dips and onion has better foot work, but in the battle aspect of it all, i give it to onion, oba makes him look like a fool on his last move, but the entire battle onion is playing to the crowd and throwing little battle moves in there.  onion won this particular battle but both of them are crazy poppers.

I really like 2 parts of the vid. At 150 when onion nailed the beat (sorry if that is the wrong terminology) and Oba showed a lot of respect at that point to which was really cool. The other one was when Oba put his hat back on for him, that was cool. So that's a tie in my book :-)

Well, if he is, he certainly associates with a lot of Japanese people... I've seen videos of him popping with/against Gucchon, Kei, Toshi, Fishboy, Kite, etc.... All from Japan. And he participated in the UK 07 Japanese preliminaries too...

Of course I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty positive Oba is Japanese. His name sounds Japanese to me.
