@Mynok009 I'm fairly certain they filmed him in front of a green screen and then put the two footages together. Guess he couldn't make the shooting. Cartooning him (and the sunglasses) lets them get away with small technical nuances (like the tiny line all around him when he actually -does- appear "live"). Also, his moves are rather economic and they repeat a lot. Still, I guess the video had to be awfully expensive (especially compared to Van Canto's history of low-cost vids).

@irimawen I'm not quite sure why this video would be more intense in terms of cost in comparison to their other videos... one of my band projects currently work on a music video with greenbox technology and the costs won't exceed 800€ for recording, cutting and finalizing with effects.

And for your information, the whole video was shot in a greenbox, all of the background is artificial.

Why don't music bands ever make music about the evils of Communism? They love talking about how bad the "Nazis" were and how they "resist" them, but are always silent on the horrors of Communism (and the 10x more people murdered under it). Van Cantos are a German band so that probably explains it, they have to show their "anti-Nazi credentials" or face prison time in present day Marxist Germany.

1. This song is made by the swedish band Sabaton, Van Canto sang it on Rockstad Falun (sweden) in 2011 as a joke and tribute to Sabaton. It became really populer, that's why they made this video.
