lol , the easiest way , is put hl2 engine to portal , and then (COPPY HL" IN HALF_LIFE " FOLDER ; AND POST IT TO PORTAL FOLDER :)

This is not Portal with HL2 maps... how do you explain Antlions, different weapons with ammo in the HUD, not to talk about health and the AUX power meter.

I just did this myself, a lot of things seem to be based off queues of where you walk so be careful about skipping a lot using portals.

No, you need to be able to access the files. You extract the maps and weapons and put them into the portal folder. Then you use the console odes to load the half life 2 maps and allow yourself to use any gun.

O.o This Isn't the portal gun in half life 2, all this is is the portal gun in portal... If you look at the beginning of the vid you can see the portal menu and all he has done is copy half life 2 maps/ files into the portal game and accessed it though the console. Pretty cool though.

There is infact. I'm not an expert, but I think you can use the files off of portal in just send them into the right spots in Half Life. I know this is done for Gmod some how so ask the people that make the GOOD Gmod portals (not the crap portals that AREN'T Portal's portal gun).

No. You need the portal gcfs READY to play, and the base files extracted (either manually, or automatically by steam on the first run)

Well I havn't tested it a lot, but yeah if you follow the guide properly and import all the maps and scenes from HL2 into the Portal folder, you should just be able to load up the first map on HL2 then play through :)
