A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand (sorry bout the spam THIS SCARES ME!
Not only macs, Sonar is well present in the US and it's pc-only. There are also numerous studios running pyramix or samplitude/sequoia. All that stuff is pc only
It's not written in a book that you have to use protools when you want to mix mainstream music and having a protools or a mac pro doesn't make you pro. Protools is still dominant because of its monopoly position (and what a joke when you see the price of an HD3, 11000€ just for the pci cards!). Of course lot of studios go mac and protools but you could also build something with nuendo/sequoia/Pyramix and some prismsoud orpheus on a pc for example, there are a lot of choices.
