  • money speaks

  • The only good thing about the 980x is its potential for cracking passwords.

  • im sure my E7200 will cope.

  • I'd try this with the dual lga-1336 motherboard that just came out with 2 6core xenons, 24 threads :D

  • this is really why i love this CPU you can play games on it, fast render programing 3D editing overclocking and way more !

  • I wonder how much they got paid to say all that.

  • render faster than real time :O

  • too much power a monster i7 980X

  • Hey Carl, great video! Sonar 8.5 rocks! And it rocks even faster on Core i7 Extreme!

  • that's why you got so many thumbs down!

  • @OtherVincentLee people with macs think?

  • @OtherVincentLee

Not only macs, Sonar is well present in the US and it's pc-only. There are also numerous studios running pyramix or samplitude/sequoia. All that stuff is pc only

  • @DubFighTa don't pro's that mix mainstream music use protools with a mac pro and a euphonix boards??

  • @OtherVincentLee

It's not written in a book that you have to use protools when you want to mix mainstream music and having a protools or a mac pro doesn't make you pro. Protools is still dominant because of its monopoly position (and what a joke when you see the price of an HD3, 11000€ just for the pci cards!). Of course lot of studios go mac and protools but you could also build something with nuendo/sequoia/Pyramix and some prismsoud orpheus on a pc for example, there are a lot of choices.

  • !!!more video about music and 'vST -reason- reaktor - ableton live -flstudio

i7 is not just for gamers

  • THat thing is a beast!! Rofl!

  • Hay you see that Nvidia GPU in there.

I like FL Studio better, but Its an Opinion, Good work Intel!

  • El Core i7 980X es un hermoso y potente microprocesador, pero es muyyyyyyy caro... ;(

  • CPUs and GPUs are merging.

  • 6 core 12 thread FTW !!

I'm waiting fot that i still have my Q6600 getting old..

  • haha yeah,

4cores 8 threads suit my needs very well too.

    but if we get a budget 6core like 2,6- 2.8ghz and 32nm d0 step ill change :)
