You were great for the first time jumping a new horse but I don't know if it was your sweat shirt but you might just might want to work a little bit on your posture.
@quicksilver1910... have a look at your vidios.. she doesnt lean forward to much, her horse is jumping well isnt it? first lesson on a new horse? instead of having a go critisising other peoples riding.. bother about your own.
u tip forward WAY to much then after a jump ur putting weight on the horse back caz ur back to far y dont u just get MORE lessons on walking nd trotting instead of tryna show off with all ur other crap!
@quicksilver1910 So you try and embarrass me by slating my riding and criticising me but now you want me to sub back to you and be friends with you. How does that work??
You guys look amazing together :D. your video reminds me a lot of mine. Could you check them out. I subscribed to you could you PLEASE subscribe to me? THANKS
@xmyponyrory4everx haha my old horse jumps the same as ur but has noooo scope it suxx, he just dosnt give to hoots if he knocks a damn rail, so hes a dressage horse lmao :3 nd now ive bought myself a nice young jumping warmblood lmao :)
@ChemicalAngel6 haha ngl I hate his technique soooo much! good idea buying a youngster as u can start from scratch, HArry's too old to change his technique ;) x
This was the first time I had ever jumped harry properly, i had only had him a couple of weeks. I would really appreciate it if before commenting with 'constructive criticism' on my video you would atleast watch a bit of my video called 'Harry-one year' otherwise you are wasting your time commenting as you can't expect us to be perfect first time. Thanks! :)
wow your a really good rider lovely horse, huge jumps. Is that a livery yard or is that like live and where is it if it is a livery yard. u make a brill team, i what to be jumping like that so. be the way did Rony get a bit excited going into some off the jumps. :~)
you did a very good job on the course! You're an amazing rider, and I hope your horse harry is doing well. Keep up the awesome work- and its really good how harry saw the jumps and didn't spook at all :)
you're great, the only thing I could tell you is maybe keep try and push your shoulders a bit further back. I rode a horse kinda like Harry, well, from what I can tell in this video, and it really helps if you just lean back, especially when they see a jump and go "Whhheeeeee". haha. You're a great rider, and you're obviously doing a great job with him <3
Nice Horse, good job on riding him. You need to work on keeping your heels down when you ride, and when you come over a jump land on your heels so they are still down. Other than that you were amazing :)
Nice Horse, good job on riding him. You need to work on keeping your heels down when you ride, and when you come over a jump land on your heels so they are still down. Other than that you were amazing :)
Word of advice: Keep your two-point a little bit longer. Also, I saw him jerking his head when you tried to pull to slow him down. Maybe try just squeezing your fingers a little bit around the reigns instead of pulling back to help that, and keep cantering around the corners. Other then that, you did a great job, and I can tell he's probably not the easiest horse to ride. You did a great job with him, though! (:
mind you dont throw yourself forward. also, give your reign a little so he can push his head forward over the jump. but otherwise i think your a great rider and you suit your horse perfectly :) xx
@MissCourtney98depend how and where you fall, i have fallen from jumping 3 ft and just had a bruise on my butt, but i have also fallen from jumping 1'6" and broke my collar bone it really just depends if you hit the jump, what angle your body hits the ground on, and what caused you to fall in the first place did your horse run out because then you might hit the standard like i did, or if your horse just stops at the jump you might go over the jump or worse hit the jump, just be safe and have fun
you've got a very nice postion just watch you dont throw yourself forward otherwise if he put in a dirty stop you'd dly over his head, and a little more release but i know how hard it is with a strong horse and for your first jumping lesson on a new pony, you did amazing :) well doneeee xxxx
You look like a really confident rider and I really like your horse, but im going to suggest that you get your butt out of the saddle a little bit more because if you ever have a horse that throws his butt and you get left behind chances are your not staying on. I would also recommend putting poles infront of the first few jumps so your horse needs to steady up through them. Finally, I would also suggest you keep your heels down more while jumping! But other than that really good! :D
Your horse if definitely willing. I would recommend ground pole work to rate him before the fences. He rushes instead of being balanced. He needs a release at the fence by you grabbing mane, and reaching up his neck. For you I recommend soft elbows and bringing your leg back underneath you while keeping your heels down. In your two point I would recommend opening up your hip angle. Good work!
You are lucky to have such a lovely and wiling horse. I am a novice, but you need to concentrate on your position and move your hands forward to allow the horse's head to be more flexible. great jumping though - I am jealous
