A lot of states always hate on us because we are more organized, we are more safer then most states, our city is clean and we can be friendly once we get to know you. We arn't over populated either, which makes it better. We have a decent sized city with a decent amount of people! Only thing about boston is that we are segregated...but its all good cause i don't care.

We didn't whine, cry to the government, we earned it. We got educated, and we didn't ruin the housings we lived in. This is NOT the Boston hood! Just some regular neighborhoods. I lived across from Faneuil Gardens in Brighton. It's pretty grimy. NOTHING like Bromley/Heath though.
Also, check out "Columbia Point" on google. Those projects were torn down about 25 year ago, but they were THE most notorious on the east coast! It's a mixed income community and has worked fairly well ,a model community (sort of what Chicago, for ex, has been going for the past 10 years)

First of all roxbury is actually more of a suburban (im NOT saying wealthy, but certainly low crime and more houses less projects and aprtmnts) area nowadays, mattapan and dorchester are the truly bad areas. Shootings are routine, and people raid abandoned houses to sell scraps for money. Hell, there arent even any stores to rob in some areas.

Born and raised in Roxbury. Was born in Boston City Hospital which and now Boston Medical Center. Lived in Atlanta for about 10 years and I'll say this, Boston is no where as ghetto as Atlanta. Too many social programs taking care of people in Boston. You want to see ghetto, go to Bowen Homes, or Simpson Rd in Atlanta, or Sanford Fl, you'll see real proverty.
