There is another Darcy version that is missing from this video. It's from Pride and Prejudice a latter day comedy. Although that movie was alright, I wouldn't say it was great although it had it's quirky moments. But that Darcy was pretty nice. :)

When I heard the music I was going to turn this off but then I listened to the lyrics. You got it and the various versions of P and P are cute. Of all I've seen in my hundred years, the 1940's one and Bride and P are equally my favorites. Thank you for working on this and sharing it with us. Good work. :)

Woot I saw them all, if you read the book Mr. darcy's Diary (2004) it more or less gets the parts that you see in the 1995 and also the 1980 verison

Of all the versions, the 1940 one is the best. The actors who do the roles of Mr. darcy and Elizabeth have done a spectacular performance which seems to inadequate in the others.

I have seen, and loved all of these versions of P&P! This is avery cool tribute! I do love all the Darcy portrayals-- but, my fave is Colin Firth.. Laurence Olivier is a close second, but the 40's version was so far from the book, he didn't have the chance to do it better. 5 Stars!

I remember watching the one with Laurence Olivier AGES ago, long before I ever read the book, and laughing like mad. I kinda want to watch it again too.

My Fav...in this order.

1. BBC Version with Colin Firth and Ehle is the best. Its a flagship classic and romantic comedy liken the literature.

2. Bride & Prejudice. A light and humorous take yet remained true to the spirit of Jane Austin. A Romantic comedy.

3. The 2005 Kieray version. Although nice by itself, it was more Bronte than Austin. A serious romance without the comedy,

The others I am yet to see.

I love Laurence Olivier! But I think Colin Firth is the ultimate Mr. Darcy. Don't get me wrong, the others were really good too but Firth just fits my idea of Mr. Darcy :)

Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Darcy is... *blush* perfect to me. At first, I thought he was...unbearable not handsome enough. The more I watch the more he grows on me. It's just that he looks...too soft to be like Mr. Darcy. XD As for Elizabeth, I really like Jennifer Ehle as the actress but looks wise, I like Keira a tiny bit more.

Collin Firth acts very well but... I don't know he sort of lack the charm to mesmerize me...

It's a matter of personal interest I think.

I love all of Jane Austen's books, but I think Pride & Prejudice is like her... signature.

I've watched all but the 1980 version, though I'll try to. I really should say that my favourite Elisabeth is in the 1995 version - Jennifer Ehle, and the one that most reminds me of Mr Darcy is Matthew Macfadyen from the 2005. I think the 1940 has unrealistic settings. As for Bride & Prejudice, it's interesting, but it is the one that follows the book the least. I love the 1995 and 2005 versions, though.

It was great! Pride and Prejudice is my favourite Jane Austen book. I love the 1995 version. I haven't seen the 1940 and 1980 version but i would like to!

I love keira and matthew's version, they make the characters very real - not caricatures. Though I used to love the BBc one, its good now only because of its length, if only the 2005 version was a mini-series!!! but I love both couples equally they do a good job, except maybe colin is over praised...his moody looks are too forced and unnatural at times. Lol yeah and ehle's eyes are brilliant! you can understand why darcy fell for her eyes! BUT they make her smile too much luks silly at times :(

Ive seen all versions. By far my favorite Elizabeth is the 2005 Keira Knightley and my favorite Darcy is, depending on my mood, Colin Firth and Matthew Macfadyen. My least favorite are those found in the 1940. That was a horrible representation of the novel and it never should have been in circulation though, Im reluctant to admit, it was funny!
