  • People, have enough common sense to set partisanship aside for a moment. It sickens me how ignorant and vitriolic people can become about any little thing. Mr Gingrich has a lot going on; it is inconceivable that he could or should control every minutiae of his campaign, such as ordering the campaign t-shirts. I would say the same thing about Mr Obama or anyone else.

  • Thats a "rush" order...from FREAKIN ELSALVADOR! Whew! Thank God for THOSE guys, or Newt supporters would be topless!

  • The whole premise that we ought to strictly demand goods made in America is completely backwards. We ought to keep the businesses that make goods in America, encouraging supply instead. Liberals feast all over this because it's Newt Gingrich, but this is liberal agenda, which makes this hilarious. It's funny how speaking your own agenda out of someone you don't like's mouth is suddenly revealed to be so wrong.

  • ouuuuuuch.

  • Why would we be surprised by this? This is the man who, while touting "family values" was cheating on his wife. This is the man who, while carrying on about a "moral compass" and calling for Clinton's head on a platter for having an affair was..... yup, cheating on his wife... the one he left his first wife for..... since then he's divorced and married again and guess what? Been caught cheating on wife #3. But we're supposed to be surprised that he's a hypocrite? NAW!

  • Let me add, that he tried to make his cheating a sign of his "patriotism".....

"There's no question at times in my life, partially driven by how passionately I felt about this country, that I worked too hard and things happened in my life that were not appropriate."

Somehow, I find that worse than "I did not have sexual relations with that woman".

  • nice...nice

  • El Salvador is ruled as a US territory - it is pretty much american made.

  • I don't care for Newt Gingrich. However, it's hard to find tee shirts made in the USA. For example, Hanes tee shirts are imported. On the other hand, American Apparel has a factory in Los Angeles, California, but Newt would never be able to buy tee shirts from them. American Apparel is too liberal for Newt. They're famous for making pro-immigration tee shirts that say "Legalize LA" and pro-gay tee shirts that say "Legalize Gay".

  • @bjtwuk Reading your post, my Troll ALERT! went on! :D

  • @Juicexlx Did I state something inaccurate? I've just looked at the tee shirts in my closet. Quicksilver - Pakistan; Abercrombie - Peru; Calvin Klein - Bangladesh; Fruit of the Loom - El Salvador; Pacific & Co - Pakistan. Okay, my Obama Biden tee shirt was made by Bayside in USA, so I guess it is not impossible to get a US made tee shirt. (I never wear the Obama shirt because I'm human shaped and it doesn't fit me right.) I'm sorry that you think that I am a troll, whatever that is. :(

  • @bjtwuk Maybe you're not a Troll, but it's quite clear to everybody who's looking at this video and knows a little bit about Newt and the GOPs in general, that they don't care whether products are made in the USA or not. Their party only cares for companies, private interests and they're all corrupted to the bones by lobbyists. So, catching Newt with that El Salvador made, Presidential campain T-shirt was really comical!

Didn't quite understood why you went out of your way to justify him. ??

  • @bjtwuk American-made clothing may be hard to find, but any presidential candidate who makes domestic goods a focal point of his/her campaign should make a little extra effort to ensure that policy statements are in line with marketing actions.

This incident just shows how poorly Newt manages his campaign and how thoughtless he is when it comes to bringing his policies to fruition.

  • @Ematched ''This incident just shows how poorly Newt manages his campaign and how thoughtless he is when it comes to bringing his policies to fruition.''

Exactly! Translating this observation into a Presidential reality is a useful clue as to how carelessly he would act. This, with the jewelry tab, the sudden cruise on a ship vacation, just adds-up into a pitiful display of incompetence and selfish ends.

bjtwuk isn't a troll, we had a PV explanation.

  • HAHAHAHA nice one old man .

  • Hey, rhetoric - meet reality.

  • fucking OWNED. hahaha.

All america makes these days is intellectual property. That's it. Everything else goes out O/S to exploit impoverished workers.

  • CNN:1 Newt: 0

  • In defense of Newt he's selling lots and lots of his books and that takes time away from campaigning.

  • LOL.. well in defense of Newt , the printing was done in Atlanta .. very likely using chinese ink, but still.

Or maybe he should start getting "made in america" labels sourced from China

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

  • Lol Gingrich

  • Another Republican FAIL. Why do people vote Republican?

  • Why does anyone vote republican or democrat? They're both right wing, torry parties- nothing worse than letting torries run a country!

  • @dfrutled Because fail attracts fail.

  • Dear Mr. Gingrich and others,

I am proud to work for one of the few remaining domestic apparel manufacturers. We still have U.S. made tee shirts and we print them, too. We can make you one American made custom campaign shirt or one million. Look us up on the web at Jensen Apparel and keep Americans working.

  • Oh oh! Some volunteers are going to be FIRED!

Well done to the lady journalist. And asking him to show it on camera before nailing him. Nice tv bit! Nice, nice, nice!

  • More like a "skunk in the headlights moment" for Newt Gingrich. To the back of the plane with you, dipshit!

  • Blame the volunteers!

  • "She turned you into a newt?"

    "Well, I got better."

Even Monty Python knows it's best to not be a newt.

  • @Ematched

Well you can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw Tiffany's jewelry at you.

  • @Ematched LOL epic reference.

  • Another RepBullCrapican America First Liar

    Vote NO on Newt

    CafePress com/mxccdd

    CafePress com/mxccdd2

  • Who was that reporter and when will she be promoted to senior investigative reporter with commensurate salary increase?

  • Gingrich is an incompetent politician.

  • @Richardgwm There are competent politicians?

  • Poor Gingrich, he's just so clueless. Too bad because I think it's a good idea to push American made products.

  • Newt Gingrich just heard IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVDOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVDOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR, IT'S MADE IN EL SALVADOR....

  • LOL!!!

  • Just like a politician to blame others for their own mistakes. The reporter deserves an award.

  • I dont buy anything till I find country of origin. My damn bob Marley shirt is made in the usa of usa cotton, fuck that hypocritical POS Gingritch is a human parasite.

  • Newt can't blame his paid staffers... they all quit.

    Ignorance is right-wing erotica.

  • @MintV2

Damned right. There's a REASON why they always had to shoot Donald Rumsfeld from the waist up whenever he was talking about "known unknowns and unknown unknowns" in the Iraq war.

  • Awesome Job. Nice to see a reporter actually giving a politician the business like they should.

  • awkward...

  • American companies are quick to outsource jobs because they have to "remain competitive", but American consumers are supposed to put themselves out to buy from those companies?

That pisses me off. How about we work on "hire American" first? Jackass parasites. >:(

  • Pwned

  • I have had it with the blamestream media. These shirts were made in the USA. This woman is lying. All to try to get a gotcha moment.

  • @HomleandSecurity Yeah, totally. I mean, she went into each of the t-shirts, chemically removed "Made in USA" and then overprinted "Made in El Salvador." Damn conspiracy!

  • @CymHastings lol homleandsecurity is a trolllolololol

  • @CymHastings She admitted she did so later.

  • @HomleandSecurity Head in the sand or what?

  • Wow, way to diss your volunteers....watch them abandon his stupid ass now.

  • Republicans arent that smart are they

  • The shirt's still made in America. Central America.

  • The reporter set Newt up beautifully. "Here, can you hold your shirt up for the cameras?" And he was asking for it, bloviating over Made in America.

  • I have two Kucinich for President campaign shirts. Both say "Made in U.S.A."

  • Lol

  • Ha, ha, ha, ha!!! Busted!!!!

  • Shows his leadership off quite well don't you think?

  • MS13 gang members are making his campaign t-shirts now. What a guy!

  • GOTCHA!

  • Newt's campaign is about to come back on like GANGBUSTERS! You'll see! NEWT FOR EMPEROR 2012!

  • LOL CNN's 1st headline: "White House "RICKROLLS" twitter!"

  • I wonder if the stuff he bought at Tiffany's this weekend was made in America? LOL

  • @Tanfeliz Well,...the blood diamonds were, after they cleaned up their documentation credentials.

  • @Tanfeliz Do you mean "CHARGED" at Tiffany's

  • @Tanfeliz

Bloody "conflict diamonds," mined by slave labor and sold by warlords in Angola and Sierra Leone to fund guerilla warfare in Africa. I'm pretty sure wearing them turns Newts wife on like mad.

  • Oopsie doopsie!

  • "I've got dozens of volunteers world-wide, you can't expect me to keep up with all of them!"

  • Salvador is in America. Newt WIN!!!

  • Blame it on the Volunteers. The guy cant manage a campaign or something as simple as ordering T-Shirts then how can he run a country.

  • HAHAHAHAH!! She set that up perfectly by making him hold up the shirt. Total pro!

  • Now THAT's a Gotcha! Look and learn, Sarah!

  • @Ploon72 So asking someone what they read...isn't a gotcha question?

  • @terrence0258 No. Unless you know the answer is going to be "nothing", and who expected that??? But I was referring of course to SP's tendency to call every question she cannot answer a gotcha question.
