Either way, u were trying to spread more lies pat. Playfair was not a goon who sat on the bench for hours waiting to jump guys at the end of their shift. That's where this started and that's where this will end. I'm not gonna get off course because u like to deflect when ur caught. In terms of fighting:
@khav11 Everything i said was fact (something u would know nothing about). And ur super creepy for going through vids looking up year old comments by me. How sad..
@khav11 ...says the kid whose devoted his life to searching youtube vids and finding year old comment i made. You still haven't proven any point though. So sad..
@khav11 an hour later is seconds? What universe do u live in?......and it's called an Iphone dude. My google account is connected to my toutube account (like everyone else) so everytime i get a retarded comment from u my phone goes off. It's not rocket science dude..
@buttkick22 you definetly are not a rocket scientist hahahahahahah american slut go jerk off to miley cyrus hahahah you little pop lover faggot hahahahahha
Brian Mclelland got the jump on Larry who slipped on a stick during the whole team melee. Pretty quick fight for it to be "vicious". He beat Secord I think 4 times and Mclelland (who admitted he was actually worried to play buffalo again after that fight). The Nystrom fight he got a broken nose but that was a great toe to toe battle until the end. The Mcsorely fight was hardly an ass kicking. Larry just hung on because Mcsorely shed his notoriously oversized jersey and he was at a huge advantage
@buttkick22 Seems like you have no clue what your talking about, because Larry didn't even get a broken nose in the Nystrom fight...that was the Mann fight you assclown!
Did he avenge his loss to a much smaller Secord? YES. Make excuses about McSorley shedding his jersey all you want, because if you do, you have to negate 70% of Probert's wins! McClelland didn't jump anyone, but he did beat the piss out of Larry.
no actually he broke his nose.....larry talks about it on both the sabres website and a local show called "enforcers" with ray and ruben brown (matt Barnaby at the time). "Avenge his loss to much smaller secord" haha. Like i said, that's a B.S. "fight" by anyone who isn't biased. Mcsorely won but he wasn't even close to "kicking the shit out of him". I think you've been listening to Jack Edwards for waaaay too long with ur overzealous view on these fights.
Again Booster, check your facts! It was Jimmy Mann that broke Larry's nose, not Bobby! The facts are all over the internet for you to verify! Now, making excuses as to why he lost to Secord is what you have to do as a fan. We all know Playfair was a better fighter than Al, and many great fighters lose to lesser opponents, but McSorley KILLED him. Plain and simple. It wasn't even a debatable fight! Larry's mom threw in the towel from Canada!
@buttkick22 ROTFLMAO Do you know how fun it is watching you squirm to defend every fight where Playfair lost, and to see you get visably upset through your replies? Do you realize how fucking stupid you look yet? ROTFLMAO Every fight Playfair lost, you made an excuse for him,and in the end, what do you do? You lose focus and shift the conversation away from the actual fight because you were fuming! ROTFLMAO I own you Booster! But keep trying! I enjoy laughing at you!
@SCROGY yea i don't bother with him. He pops up every so often trying to goat my into a pointless argument. Just more proof that i was the closest thing to a friend he had...i gotta' admit it was kinda' hard not to call out his hypocrisy when i just saw him post that the lucic vs orr fight was a draw all the way. There's no reasoning wiht people like that. Especially when they have sevaral different fake sn's. This is just a form of second life for the poor kid. I just let him be now. Pathetic.
Sorry, O'Reilly was no match for Larry Playfair...even Don Cherry called him one of the top 5 fighters in the history of the NHL. O'Reilly was tough as nails but Playfair is in a whole other league. I've known Larry for over 26 years and have talked to O'Reilly and he told me he wanted no part of him, was scared to death of his strength and reach.
Thats because you never played hockey...Larry went out on the ice after Terry was out for a minute, and was exhausted! That doesnt make Larry a punk, but it makes Larry a Goon that sits on the bench for HOURS waiting to jump people like Terry that had a regular shift! Terry is still worshipped to this day...where is Larry?
LOL!!! dude... I"ve played hockey for the last 20 years...lol!!! Larry Playfair was one of the best fighters when he played... O'Reilly won some and got his lumps in some... it's all over youtube... just cuz your mr. bosoxnation don't be such a homer, you look dumb. By the way... have you ever laced them up? I doubt it but if you have I bet you're a real great skater like O'Reilly was..lol!!!!
Playing hockey in your backyard on the pond doesn't count Booster. O'Reilly led the Bruins in scoring 1 year with 90 points! That's three quarters as many points as Playfair had in his entire CAREER! LMFAO
Booster...lol!!! hey homer boy... I never said anything about career points I'm talking about fighting head to head... and Playfair was a better fighter than O'Reilly and beat the crap out him of him 90% of the time... I read your bio and that has got to be the biggest bunch of crap that ever hit youtube...LOL!!!!! keep it up homer boy...lol!!!!!
ck out my channel comments.....i've clowned bosoxnation1972 and his alias's into submission( he also goes by: celticjared mrjuha media kidpokerleafsfan mrwhiteyseanavery ect)....all his posts and clownings
your lying again....they started the shift at the same time......larry NEVER sat on the bench for "hours". On top of being one of the best fighters ever (so much better than O'Reilly) he was a pretty solid D-man not some goon winger who played 3 min a game like u pretend. Jump people? haha never, he didn't have to nor did he have to knee a guy in frustration (punk move) like O'Reilly. ....funny that u admit that u and ur "friends" worship a hockey player......fucking sad dude....ur so full of it
A solid D-man? Ok, maybe he was good in his own end because he was bigger and stronger than the players of his day, but he couldn't move the puck for shit. His career plus minus is -26! Terry O'Reilly had a career plus minus of +212. Don't even try to compare the 2 as players.
I've seen Playfair lose to Nystrom, Secord, and he got his nose busted badly by Jimmy Mann December 19th, 1979. Hell, Brad Park beat up Playfair in 1982 & Brian MacClennan gave Playfair a vicious beating in 1985.
I also recall Steve Rooney from Montreal dropping Playfair for a TKO. Normally I wouldn't remember a highlight like that, but Steve Ronney grew up in Canton Mass, and Sportscaster Bob Lobel showed the clip of the fight on the news back at a time when they usually only showed Bruins highlights. I think it was his last year in Buffalo. When he went to LA, I remember McSorley kicking the shit out of him too. So Playfair lost to some good fighters, and some mediocre ones as well.
I was never comparing to 2 as players i was just setting the record straight on ur whole "sat on the bench for hours" and was a "goon" tangent. Every fighter gets tagged once in a while and loses to lesser opponents. Jimmy Mann was a prime example of both. Only people from Boston count the secord "victory" as a win most people don't even consider it a fight let alone a win. The refs got in 2 quick and secord just spazzed out with slapping punches before they broke it up to make it look good
Terry O'reilly played 15 years in the nhl and played hard and fought everyone. He never backed down and was never knocked out or cut in a fight. Plus he played a regular shift and led the Bruins in scoring with 90 PTS In 1978.He was just on tough S.O.B
Met Playfair when he was with the Kings at a team event, and the guy was a monster. He, Jay Wells, Dean Kennedy, Ken Baumgartner, and Tiger Williams made Kings games a lot of fun in the Pre-Gretzky era
Growing up a Sabres fan the hatred for Boston and all their tough guys was assured. The greatest respect I had for Larry Playfair who carried the torch for this club for years.
@ricogarion I being a Bruins fan at those times where it did seem that the Bruins at times had an edge but Buffalo always reminded me as a mirror of these two teams.Don`t forget Danny Gare.He was tough and can score with talent.I wouldn`t mind seeing Buffalo win a championship.I think they are due.
@openedup09 Danny Gare was a very underrated fighter and Stan Johnathan gave him props on Don Cherry's Grapevine. Paul Cyr was another tough little SOB. Never looked for it but he could go.
terry and Larry were tough m***** f***** we miss the rough hockey now its just a bunch of pussy Europeans thanks a lot wayne gretkjufhryshit you started the shit with no body can check me hard i am a finesse player lets change the rules we are progressing we are a family oriented sport
Who cares if he scored 30 goals or not...he was a defenceman!! And he was a good, rugged defenceman, not just a scrapper. So saying he had nothing else to bring to the game is saying that you are ill-informed. Playfair was a decent defenceman with a rugged edge, who was also known as a devestating fighter. Pretty important at the time.
Damn VHS tapes.

The start was even as they landed few nice shots as they grappled well at the same time.
