Is this fella practicing scales? If so, he forgot to remember " find the music contained within the scale" tinkling through scale patterns isnt very interesting to an audience.
@Northernmight I know there is a lot to it, because i'm just starting to get into it, with several courses at school and whatnot, but jazz is what it is. If you don't appreciate it's sound with no knowledge of it, then maybe it really ins't your thing.
@Northernmight start listening to blues, than move to bluesy jazz, than to jazz( hard bop), than you will start liking this, see if you like the allman brothers,
@Northernmight mman everyone says it's an acquired taste but I never experienced it like that. for me, as soon as I reached an age where I started listening to music, REALLY listening to music not just "listening" I got hooked on this shit. and a wide range of other things too. What music do you like? Don't feel pressure to like stuff that's not your bag, but I would recommend scrutinizing yourself and your own tastes. why do you like the music you like? are you REALLY listening? etc.
Bill Stewart is BEST OF THE WORLD!!!

Derp, i know it's amazing. but i just.. don't get it, i guess. Guess i'm just not much a jazz-man.
How annoying. I really want to get into this, but it really doesn't do anything for me. Makes me a sad panda.

@Northernmight It takes a long time to get used to it. Its definitely an aquired taste. Keep listening.
