Rush will always be my favorite band... my dad showed me them when i was 11 and now im 18, since then ive seen them 4 times and have all of their cd's, i know every word to most songs, i even listen to power windows just as much as the rest of their stuff. Geddy and Alex are the reasons why i play bass and guitar.

It's songs like this that prove Neil Peart's lyrical brilliance. I have to say, while YYZ and Farewell to Kings are my favorite songs of Rush's musically, this and Fountain of Lamneth are unbeatable lyrically. If you haven't listened to FoL, I mean REALLY listened to the words, you've lived a trite and meaningless life.

There is an episode of Chuck based around rush, Futuram makes many references including Fry listening to Tom Sawyer whilst playing Space Invaders, Fanboys has a character whom loves Rush... Me and my better half both love Rush and we are in our early 20s. Also there are many Rush songs on music games such as Rock Band and Guitar Hero... I think you might be unique and your school might be an anomaly.
