  • @joshuadanieljackson In his defense he did say that the problem wouldn't be solved at the level of consumer choice.

  • @ThePoultrysolution without a market that is

  • The stone-age also didn't end because the government told the people that stones were no longer efficient enough. Yes this process is going to be challenging but it will need to be a consumer based revolution if our nation wants to overcome this problem without upsetting an already unstable economic "climate".

  • Drinking water flown in from Fiji? What a leader.

  • Freidman nails it. We are at a convergence of problems all at a tipping point, but all of those problems are very closely interconnected and can be solved if acted upon with the proper urgency. We have to be optimistic otherwise we have no chance. We all need to do our part to be part of the solution and to cease being part of the problem. Awaken those still asleep at the wheel and DEMAND from political leaders that we repower our world with clean renewable energy. The world is ours to save.

  • Ha! we are a country of people with a "green hobby" The energy internet will only work if the US does NOT have an economic collapse. Friedman wants abundant, clean electrons without Manhattan style project. He thinks 100 Dean Kamens will do it, I don't think so. Not too many people riding a segway, people still in their SUV's and harleys. Unless several huge technological breakthoughs are mad fast we are totaly screwed.
