up to this point there are rescue teams from japan, taiwan, korea, russia, hongkong and singapore out there working along side chinese teams. more aid and help will arrive from the US.

A critical period of 72 hrs had passed since the erathquake struck. The hope of survival has gone and casualties will mount. It's not true that they refused all foreign aids. They have accepted a few rescue teams aleady. And they said they may accept more later.

The refusal in the first 72 hours was an arguable decision. But I assume the problem of no transport means due to landslides and heavy rains, and the main airport was also congested / not fully functional also contribute to their decision. Hopefully, they are not covering up something.

After 3 days, it will be the recovery period, there is no need for special skills and instrument provided by international earthquake rescue teams. Many many lives had been lost by the delay. China is accepting two rescue teams of 20 people each from Japan and Taiwan only to deflect internal and international criticism of CCP's indecisiveness. Think about it. How can the limited number of teams do for such a big earthquake zone? CCP should bear all resposibility for lost lives.
