I just played the demo last night. Even with all the rock music and Duke's amazing dialogue, all I could really hear was this amazing theme at the back of my head.

Why wasn't this theme used for the final release? It would've been perfect.

Megadeth's version fits Duke Nukem like no other. Duke is too hardcore and "Damn I'm Good!" for a theme like this one.

That theme is so moving! I can imagine the final battle against the Cycloid Emperor with some slow-mo scenes and some flashbacks, like Duke's rottweiler Spike's severed head and stuff... Yeah, I know, there has never been mention of Duke having a dog, but I thought that kind of scene could rivalize with DooM Guy's dead bunny xD.

@RodrMattA: I assumed I might be. :) It's just, when I heard that DNF was /finally/ coming out, something re-energized me. It's weird because I really don't have much connection to 3D, but I guess a combination of things (seeing the 2001 trailer, hearing this song, seeing Randy Pitchford's commitment, seeing the Ambsterdam demo) made me remember what I loved about gaming. I was slightly euphoric during that time.

Sooo, IDK. I guess I'd like to see cutscenes with other characters or something.
