I check out the samsung C7000 at conns watching monsters and aliens in 3D it looks good evening though u have to wait on some parts of the movie to get that 3D effect but I'm still not sold on watching regular tv in 3D to me only sports(boxing,mma,basketball and football),video games,action and horror blu rays movies is worth watching in 3D. If you're planning to get a 3D tv I recommend u to watch (Final Destination and My bloody valentine) first cause those movies alot of 3D effects

It will most likily have a mode, you hit the 2d/3d button and it will switch between, so you can watch your regular tv in 2d, and when you have a movie like avatar (which supports 3d) then you can pop the tv over to 3d mode and watch 3d.
I think it is a setting, because the type of 3D technology that these use makes the 3D picture fuzzy without the 3D glasses, so there might be a button on the remote to switch from 2d to 3d and visa versa.
I think that 3D is very overated,my proves are headaches,tehnology isnt that advance yet to convince our eyes and brain without any side effects that you are really watching full 3D pitchure. Maybe when this is taken care of...

Not true. Polarizing the light only separates left-eye images frmo right-eye images, which then imitates 3D. But if you don't have different images to begin with (i.e. only 1 image is broadcast in a 2D program), you can't get 3D out of it.
Samsung c9000 is the best tv out there but only down side is in order to get 3D you have to buy a 1.4 HDMI cable and glasses...its going to be expensive
