  • Since when is Japan allowed to have weapons?

  • @megaguru777 the post war draft of the constitution there banned an army but within a decade of the end of WW2 the USA seems to have pressured them into an army for cold war standards... so my guess would be something between 1950 and 1954

Gotta love a 10 second google search

  • I saw a box in the sand with its arms moving and cracked up laughing :). I do not think those 4 inch guns can compare to the blackpowder 3 inch Napoleonic cannons which had a sound all of their own. Modern guns are much sharper. Still a great vid and the cannons were in sync, it is just the recording of them due to the distance the sound has to travel. Thanks

  • Enjoying what was supposed to be an ordinary dinner while watching this...

...and it tastes so damn good right now.

  • Who says they're not ready for a fight! (again!) Amazing panache!

  • I think I just crapped myself watching this!!! Holy god!!! :)

  • Desastroza la performance de YoutubeArgentina,es imposible apreciar nada, deben mejorar de inmediato la organización,la calidad de emision y el orden de los clips.

  • Is that soldier holding an esp batton? why?

  • Is that soldier holding an esp batton?

  • The only way that this piece should be played is accompanied by field artillery. Props, man.

  • Magnificently done.

This would of been interrupted in America with thunderous laughs, hoots, hollers and jeers at the first cannon shot.

Nice to see and hear an uninterrupted version.

  • @Hawklore Yeh it probably would have also cut to a recording of "Rock you like a hurricane" by the Scorpions with F18s flying over head!

    Brilliant videos!

  • Shoulda used the 155.

  • They reason they didn't use the big gun is because it isn't a 105mm cannon. That actually would be a 120mm cannon I believe.

  • The only way this could have been improved was if you had had real, brass Tubas rather than ceramic Sousaphones. But I say that as a Tuba player, so I'm probably biased :D

    Great video!

  • I like the quality, could be better with littler background noise. I've noticed everyone has a different timing for the cannons, so don't worry. Pretty cool if you ask me.

  • @SteveAndrewLangford Haha, totally don't know why I said that bint about the cannon timing. My bad. Well, watching it again, I'll also have to point out the conductor is bland, of course he is probably a beginner or something, but the energy DOESN'T flow THROUGH him, it kind of just comes out. Lol, other than that, very good.

  • So awesome. Go japan, lol.

  • the timing of canon shots still out :(

  • pitty the big gun(by what i checked/noticed)wasnt used has well

  • @kendconcerto closer than I've ever heard most other bands/orchestras do it. So props.

  • hot DAMN! those Japanese really can do things up well! i give this five stars. and the CANNONS! Superb.

  • @FellowTraveller Sorry, I disagree, I've heard a boatload of versions of the 1812 overture, and this one has no soul, they just seem to be playing the notes. It may have nothing at all to do with the US of A, or the 4th of July, but US bands/orchestras have taken it for themselves and play it with total awesomeness and heart.

On the other hand, that is the closest I've ever, ever heard any cannons get anywhere near where the hell they're supposed to be in the actual Music, so, props to them.
