Create cartoon effect from video in Sony Movie Studio

is there a way to get sony vegas and also what computer do you have?I always wanted sony vegas but i don't know how to get it

@Kataang102 The Cartooner effect is free. But if you download the trial version of other packages, it will put a watermark on your video until you register.

Thanks! Your a life saver because I've been planning on making a cartoon but I'm not that great at drawing so I decided to go a different route and use green screen and real video of people walking, talking, etc.. for the animation, but I was wanting to find a way to easily cartoonize them.

Chose Vegas 32 bit for Movie Studio.

Then restart Movie Studio to find the effect

Hey Bill! I have a problem :( I tried downloading this. It did it extremely quickly. Which I thought was strange. I clicked "run" and it came up with an NSIS error which said that it is commonly corrupted by "Incomplete download and damaged media" Is their a different site I can get this? Or is there a way to fix this?

Hi Bill, is there anyway to add speech bubbles and little white squares with text in them as in still cartoons etc ?

I have made a montage of still " cartoon" pics and cannot work out how to place little text boxes on them in various places on the pic. .

@evsynator You will want to create a speech bubble graphic image in something like photoshop elements, and import that image into Vegas.

Then put that on a video track above the main video, and use the text feature in Vegas to add text to the bubble.

@NotChained After NewBlue FX Cartoonr download you then install.(as you know) but you are then asked to register by giving them your e mail address. They will send you an e mail with an activation code and password. If you don't want to do this you will have a watermark on your clips.

@ywpro I've got all three version of New Blue Video Effects, and they work quite well in Vegas Pro 9 64 bit on my computer. Also work well in Vegas Pro 32 bit, and Sony Movie Studio.

Did you run the New Blue Effects installer program?

If you downloaded the correct version of Video Effects (for Sony Vegas), then closed Vegas and installed the software, then opened Vegas, the effects should be there.

To add to the cartoon effect you should also add some frame decimation as cartoons have less than the half of images.
