they love each other, but being together makes the head of the house unhappy, so the head of the house attacks Hatori, and he feels bad for Kana, so he erases her memory. It's a really sad story, and it doesn't make as much of an impact unless you see it. i recommend watching (and reading) the series if you haven't. it's really good.

Kana wouldn't stop blaming herself for the head of the family getting angry and blinding Hatori in one eye when they went to ask if they could marry. So she started to be overwhelmed with grief. Hatori erased himself from her memory because she would have been better off if she had never known him.

the girl wth the short hair is Kana. She's Hatori's ex-girlfriend. lol when i first read the part about her in the manga, i thought she was Tohru's mom, too. But, then after the second time, i was all lyk, "ooooh... i get it, now!" btw, Hatori is the "dragon" in the sohma family zodiac.

I think that the amv is well-made and very beautiful. Showing Hatori in the light of Edward is very creative. In some way they are all like some kind of freaks who just cannot fall in love because it'll only bring sorrow... So the idea itself is very great. Very thoughtful.
