  • This Lonesome Pine special was the best. Branford meshed with them perfectly. Howard who left the band a year after this was so awesome on the harp in their rendition of the Beatles' "Michelle".

  • One of their best songs. Their best performance of sunset road by far.

  • One of the best versions of Sunset Road I've heard. Nothing forced, just ultimate chill. And checkout Branford checking out Howard.

  • Most interesting in this song, is how five so different players find very equal roles in a band..

  • This talent is so thick you can taste it

  • howard levy....the forgotten man. howard levy makes mozart look like big fuckin homo

  • @joeglimmix LOL!!!! Awesome! Or in the immortal words of Charlie Sheen, Mozart was a "sad, droopy-eyed, armless child."

  • why is spaceman the only one that still looks the same today lol

  • @Reap3r07 Cuz he's from the future.

  • @Reap3r07 Because he's from the future!

  • @Reap3r07 *Futureman

  • Perhaps the most beautiful song ever written.

  • Einfach super!

  • There is a song that this song reminds me so much of, maybe an 80's or 90's song but I can't think of the name, lyrics or who sang it... can anybody help?

  • Jordu? ... Bill Keith? ...

  • @cwiseguy69 gotta give us at least something to go on...some sort of description

  • Howard Levy is the bomb diggity. Way better than Jeff Coffin

  • who was the dude on the tenor sax?

  • @Clampz123 Branford Marsalis

  • This is music!

  • I love this song and especially this version of it. I have the audio recording... it's great to see the video!

  • geez.. smooth as glass

  • Thanks for this. It's the jam.

  • That piano player is The incredible Howard Levy a founding member of the flecktones played on their first 3 albums..he also played several hand held instruments..like harmonica and pinwhistle..etc

  • what a great piano player!!

  • yeah he's not bad. there's a man named jordan rudess who blows him out of the water though

  • Howard Levy destroys Jordan R.

  • i disagree. but whatever. thats life, and music especially. opinions

  • @tomaspepino tough guy eh? remove your comment before someone can see your opinion and disagree with you.

  • @tomaspepino but in response i do agree claudio arrau is a great pianist. however he and rudess are not in the same field. rudess is a progressive keyboardist first and foremost where arrau is a classical pianist. comparisons between the two are unfair and irrelevant

  • And why are u comparing a jazzist with a metal progresive player ?

    U contradict yourself.

  • By far, one of the best songs they did.

  • Look at Bela's hair, they are all so young!

  • bela's rocking the mullet. awesome.

  • when was this concert?...Oh wait...The 80s.

  • it's silly to say that their old stuff is better than their newer stuff because of a few songs. they're new stuff is just different.

  • Yea i think there earlyer stuff is alot better then there new. This song rules

  • 100% agreement...I was waiting to hear that come from someone....thanks!

  • their early music is awesome..

  • Who's the keys player?

  • Howard Levy, original Flecktone. One of the best, if not the best harp players in the world.

  • Wow! Nice to see something I haven't seen yet here.... please post more if you've got them.

  • What year was this?

  • 1991

  • thank you very much!

  • Great song i love the video. The flecktones plus branford marsalis you could not get better than that

  • FABULOUS! this is one of my favorite songs and how cool to see old footage. Thanks!

  • we really need more early flecktones footage . keep it coming nevesh
