So I haven't started HRT yet but I'm going to a therapist and all. She suggested that I could wear a padded bra.. Any advice? Should I get one? Maybe like a girls padded training bra or something? Any tips would be appreciated :)

I hope my breasts look half as good as yours when mine are done growing! Andorcur and Dutasteride are my new best friends! By the way you look fantastic!! My breast tenderness is lower than it used to be but it never goes away completely. I want to post my first video in August as I can't yet without high speed access.

Yeah, boobs never stop getting tender... Just wondering, female breasts swell around the time of their period, do the hormones cause yours to swell once a month as well?
@tierz2 lol tender boobs arent the end of it either...me personally, i get moody, emotional...i tend to cry more in the last week of the month, and am alot more bitey haha but i notice that anytime my boobs are sore im generally more aggrevated...coz its annoying, and the pain is nagging
Do you know what's terrible. People born female are so conditioned to be ashamed of their bodies that when I went through puberty I thought I was the only one who felt so much pain when my breasts started to grow (I walked into everything boob first too!), no body ever talked about it. What is great about the wonderful trans people on youtube is that we get to learn about what the experience of being female or male is about through fresh eyes. Thanks :-)

Breasts come in many sizes and shapes, and I'm sure yours fit you well. There's no real advantage to hauling kilos around on your chest, especially when you get older. Either way the best advice would be to wait until you've become a proper adult (around 25), and then see if you're still unhappy. At that point you should at least talk to your physician about it, who can they refer you on.
Depending on your body type and weight they may still fill out themselves also.
While you could perhaps see transsexuals as individuals with a homosexual orientation that also feel they have the wrong sex, they're not really the same. Most individuals with a homosexual orientation feel just fine in their body, they just aren't attracted to the opposite sex.
Many of these anomalies (if you allow me to call them that) are caused by the brain's sex differentiation process not being at the same time as the rest of the body. I'll give an example in the next comment
(Example) Practically this means that for instance, when a foetus is exposed to high levels of say estrogen during a critical period of development for the brain, the brain will differentiate as female, while later the body may not be exposed to the same hormones while it is differentiating. There are also known cases that were simply immune to androgens, in which case even small amounts of estrogen (that males naturally produce also) will differentiate the body as female.
Either way, an individual is an individual. If they are of sound mind they should be allowed to modify their appearance. It's perhaps a bit sad that we can't yet do it properly, it's all plastical surgery still (which is currently a very nice ethical debate on hormone replacement therapy on teenagers, which have yet to differentiate, in which case you can change their sex to much better result, but they clearly are still children, which makes the decision hard)
Anyway the saddest thing is that you do not seem to understand what you're "respecting", or talking about at all. How about you first do some research on the topic before opiniating it. I hope my examples helped you to gain some knowledge in the area. Although these issues clearly are more ethical than scientific, but both give grounds to forcefully reject what you just said.

On a final sidenote, hetero- and homosexuality are poorly defined, they're artifacts from a time we knew far less about the human body. Per my previous examples, what would you have determine someone's sexuality? Their physical appearance? (Because genetic females can have a male appearance and vice versa). It's quite complex. For all we know you might be a genetic female yourself, did you ever have your genes tested? ^^

My breast size is AA I started with Androcur daily and with Estrogen Pills. I took daily 6 mg Estrogen Pills prescribed by my Endocrinolgist
Maybe my breast receptors are blocked because I started with too much Estrogen? I had side effects like: Problems with swallowing, headache, depression, funny heart beat, BIG PUPIL and very tiered.May I ask u what u take?

I've been trying to do that massaging technique, and it's not hugely working...
this is not a miracle technique.. it is used to break up the core in the breast beneath the nipple.. if u dnt have cores, or breast buds, then massage is not likely to help.
I do have breast buds. The main thing you must address is while breast growth has a little to do with heritage. You must take into consideration the hormones the person is on. Each person has a different reaction to each hormone. One might help grow breast tissue more then another. I know because I do have breast buds... I do eat a good deal of fat. I've been on HRT for about a year and a half, and large breasts is common in my family. I massage my breasts. Yet I cannot break an A cup.
If you have only been on HRT for 1 year, and 6 months, then you are relatively early in your transition, and should be more patient with your body. Everyone develops differently, and at different times... but consider how long it takes for a genetic female to develop... they don't all grow full breasts within a year and a half of hitting puberty, so its likely that you won't either. Be patient, it's rlli a waiting game.

@garyjmflewell Ive been on HRT for 8 years now, so what you see is a result of time. A year is relatively short period, as development can take upto 10 years to complete, especially where breast growth is concerned.
I started ~6 months ago at 19 and haven't had any breast development or even pain. Should I wait a little longer or just beat-up my endocrinologist for lying to me?
I've been on HRT for a long time, a few years.. By months I had pain, and breast buds had formed at that point, which is usual among trans-women. So maybe speak to your endocrinologist, and ask why it is taking so long to begin development. The only reasons I can think of, as to why it is taking this long, is because you may be a late bloomer. Or are taking a low dose.
I wasn't sure what I would end-up with. My point is, the TYPE of estrogen you take can make a difference in the development that you get. Also, I know from many TG friends, that breasts on both genetic women as well as TG's grow for up to 5 years, with natural spurts and lulls in the growth. Hope this helps and (yes) MASSAGE HURTS LIKE HELL BUT DOES HELP break up the cores and increase your size :) love and courage to all
with the size (hoping for a B or C), was still happy that I had some developement! I then switched at a dr. recommendation to oral estrogen and spiro and during that time, about 10 mo's, I had no soreness and no more development. BUT, about 2 mo's ago, I went back to inject.estrogen, stopped the sprio, and BAM! I am developing a hard/painful core again and my breasts are now a solid "B" and still growing! Since my mother is a "B" and my sisters are C's and "D's,
I don't want to dash your hopes, I would love B's or C's myself, but alot of transexuals only develop A's and sometimes B's, its extreamlly rare to get C's. I wish you all the luck and if you end up with C's, I will hate you for it, but ill be happy for you at the same time. I'm still hoping for C's myself, but ill be more then happy with B's or even A's because they will be me, 100% pure me and ill love them because of that alone.

I thought I would offer my story since I'm a (bit) older than most of the respondents and thought my experience with my breast growth may be helpful :) I am a 43 yr old pre-op TG who started on HRT a bit over 2 years ago. I started my hormones with injectible estrogen and spiro. After a few mo's I developed the painful cores (ouch) which eventually spread-out and I developed a nice A-cup. Everyone must seek advise from a professional. Look up breast development for transwomen on Google. What helped me with my pain and actually caused my knot(developing mammary gland) to bud out I took Aspirin 81mg a day it it helped out so much! Sooner you start the better. if you wait until age 25 or after to start hormones you will not develop a breast size without implants larger than An A cup! unless of course you Gain alot of weight!
It depends on what kind of transwomen you are speaking of, There are two different types of transsexuals one who is preparing for that bottom surgery (SRS.GRS,Vaginoplasty) and the one who already have it.
I wonder; I started a year ago, when i was 30. So that might be different too? how long did it take for you to get the current size? did it went in phases? like the tanner phase? I'm on E about 3 months now, and I now have a noticeable AA, but not yet enough for a bra, because my frame is big and I am tall, 6ft.

Hmmm discomfort in the chest when breasts develop??? That's something girls go through at age 12, and it was soooo horrible for me! I can't imagine being an adult and having that pain again. You transwomen are BRAVE. You do things to yourself I would never done have done to myself voluntarily!
For what it's worth Lea, your breasts are very proportional to your body frame. They compliment each other well. I hope I don't sound like a sexist pig by saying that, as I was only stating an observation.
No at all hun. Chest proportion is def. something that is on-topic! A wider chest/rib area is def. one of those things that can make your breast appear small/flat, since the tissue needs to spread over a larger area for most transwomen.. I'm about 10 weeks on HRT and my breasts have grown a fair amount already and YES they hurt like a mother when I knock into them! Thank god I seem to be getting used to them!

Yes it sure does hurt when one knocks them on something while they are growing! My cats like to step on my boobs while I'm lying in bed, my daughter somehow while playing around finds a way to knock them accidentally, and I've hit them on things in the car, the house, etc, etc....
No matter how careful I am, I and other people seem to have a knack for finding the sore spots of my body... and the boobs are no exception!

I've been on HRT since I was 17, and I still have the cores, and my boobs are sore today... but I noticed in a couple of instances where I'd lessen the amount of hormones I was taking, that they went away. This is why i thought this would be a good topic, just because our experience with this surely had to be varied between us..
Heya cookie, my natural size is a small C, and no, not pushed up-... I have my bras fitted by the lady at the lingerie shop.. so they fit perfectly, as I had a bit of back pain from wearing the wrong bras.. so I recommend bra fitting, if youre comfortable with that:).. and tnx for all of your support, and sweet comments...XOX:)
... Also, my weight goes up in down, as I have a peptic ulcer, that makes me be sick most early mornings(like now for instance), so I have noticed(and maybe you can see in my vlogs) that I lose boob mass, when I lose weight.. another important factor in breast size me thinks.
Actually, you are right as your weight shifts over you may decrease in breast volume.
And of course when my boobs dropped after post op care I went to get fitted for the proper bra immediately.
I love something that holds them up and I dont feel the weight, but sometimes I let them loose in a soft support shirt. I was on HRT since like december 12 2006 and loved every moment of it.

Per my previous examples, what would you have determine someone's sexuality? Their physical appearance? (Because genetic females can have a male appearance and vice versa). It's quite complex. For all we know you might be a genetic female yourself, did you ever have your genes tested? ^^

Im not transgendered or anything like that. Im a man and happy as a man. I clicked on the video by accident. But I just wanna say... I have so much respect for all transgendered people. Hi! I am a Transsexual Girl too. I am since 2007 Post-OP. I started taking hormones when I was 17. Now I am 22 and I have NO BREAST grow.
My breast size is AA I started with Androcur daily and with Estrogen Pills. I took daily 6 mg Estrogen Pills prescribed by my Endocrinolgist
Maybe my breast receptors are blocked because I started with too much Estrogen? I had side effects like: Problems with swallowing, headache, depression, funny heart beat, BIG PUPIL and very tiered.May I ask u what u take?

Hmmm... I am wondering how do I grow breasts? I've been on HRT for almost a year and a half... My sister is at a C cup and my mom is DD. I can't even break an A cup?
I've been trying to do that massaging technique, and it's not hugely working...

this is not a miracle technique.. it is used to break up the core in the breast beneath the nipple.. if u dnt have cores, or breast buds, then massage is not likely to help.

I do have breast buds. The main thing you must address is while breast growth has a little to do with heritage. You must take into consideration the hormones the person is on. Each person has a different reaction to each hormone. One might help grow breast tissue more then another. I know because I do have breast buds... I do eat a good deal of fat. I've been on HRT for about a year and a half, and large breasts is common in my family. I massage my breasts. Yet I cannot break an A cup.

If you have only been on HRT for 1 year, and 6 months, then you are relatively early in your transition, and should be more patient with your body. Everyone develops differently, and at different times... but consider how long it takes for a genetic female to develop... they don't all grow full breasts within a year and a half of hitting puberty, so its likely that you won't either. Be patient, it's rlli a waiting game.

omg thank you so much this helped me so much. im 16 and my breast are developing and it comes with so much discomfort sometimes pain. they feel so hard at times that i can't even touch them but massaging them does help, it never really crossed my mind to do it tho ha thank you for this vid. :)

@garyjmflewell Ive been on HRT for 8 years now, so what you see is a result of time. A year is relatively short period, as development can take upto 10 years to complete, especially where breast growth is concerned.

How long have you been on hormones?
I started ~6 months ago at 19 and haven't had any breast development or even pain. Should I wait a little longer or just beat-up my endocrinologist for lying to me?

I've been on HRT for a long time, a few years.. By months I had pain, and breast buds had formed at that point, which is usual among trans-women. So maybe speak to your endocrinologist, and ask why it is taking so long to begin development. The only reasons I can think of, as to why it is taking this long, is because you may be a late bloomer. Or are taking a low dose.

I wasn't sure what I would end-up with. My point is, the TYPE of estrogen you take can make a difference in the development that you get. Also, I know from many TG friends, that breasts on both genetic women as well as TG's grow for up to 5 years, with natural spurts and lulls in the growth. Hope this helps and (yes) MASSAGE HURTS LIKE HELL BUT DOES HELP break up the cores and increase your size :) love and courage to all

with the size (hoping for a B or C), was still happy that I had some developement! I then switched at a dr. recommendation to oral estrogen and spiro and during that time, about 10 mo's, I had no soreness and no more development. BUT, about 2 mo's ago, I went back to inject.estrogen, stopped the sprio, and BAM! I am developing a hard/painful core again and my breasts are now a solid "B" and still growing! Since my mother is a "B" and my sisters are C's and "D's,

I don't want to dash your hopes, I would love B's or C's myself, but alot of transexuals only develop A's and sometimes B's, its extreamlly rare to get C's. I wish you all the luck and if you end up with C's, I will hate you for it, but ill be happy for you at the same time. I'm still hoping for C's myself, but ill be more then happy with B's or even A's because they will be me, 100% pure me and ill love them because of that alone.

I thought I would offer my story since I'm a (bit) older than most of the respondents and thought my experience with my breast growth may be helpful :) I am a 43 yr old pre-op TG who started on HRT a bit over 2 years ago. I started my hormones with injectible estrogen and spiro. After a few mo's I developed the painful cores (ouch) which eventually spread-out and I developed a nice A-cup. The soreness went away and although disapointed

Everyone must seek advise from a professional. Look up breast development for transwomen on Google. What helped me with my pain and actually caused my knot(developing mammary gland) to bud out I took Aspirin 81mg a day it it helped out so much! Sooner you start the better. if you wait until age 25 or after to start hormones you will not develop a breast size without implants larger than An A cup! unless of course you Gain alot of weight!

It depends on what kind of transwomen you are speaking of, There are two different types of transsexuals one who is preparing for that bottom surgery (SRS.GRS,Vaginoplasty) and the one who already have it.

I wonder; I started a year ago, when i was 30. So that might be different too? how long did it take for you to get the current size? did it went in phases? like the tanner phase? I'm on E about 3 months now, and I now have a noticeable AA, but not yet enough for a bra, because my frame is big and I am tall, 6ft.

Hmmm discomfort in the chest when breasts develop??? That's something girls go through at age 12, and it was soooo horrible for me! I can't imagine being an adult and having that pain again. You transwomen are BRAVE. You do things to yourself I would never done have done to myself voluntarily!

For what it's worth Lea, your breasts are very proportional to your body frame. They compliment each other well. I hope I don't sound like a sexist pig by saying that, as I was only stating an observation.

No at all hun. Chest proportion is def. something that is on-topic! A wider chest/rib area is def. one of those things that can make your breast appear small/flat, since the tissue needs to spread over a larger area for most transwomen.. I had this issue earlier on in my transition. Cheers for the compliment:)

I'm about 10 weeks on HRT and my breasts have grown a fair amount already and YES they hurt like a mother when I knock into them! Thank god I seem to be getting used to them!
It's hard to believe something so small could hurt so much! I'm going to try the massage to see what it does. If nothing else I know it's going to feel niiiiice! :)

Yes it sure does hurt when one knocks them on something while they are growing! My cats like to step on my boobs while I'm lying in bed, my daughter somehow while playing around finds a way to knock them accidentally, and I've hit them on things in the car, the house, etc, etc....
No matter how careful I am, I and other people seem to have a knack for finding the sore spots of my body... and the boobs are no exception!

I did, but I never had pain when they were growing. It was sort of odd. If I take off my shirt, I def have boobs, they are just really small.

Oh ok... hmmm... I've been on HRT since I was 17, and I still have the cores, and my boobs are sore today... but I noticed in a couple of instances where I'd lessen the amount of hormones I was taking, that they went away. This is why i thought this would be a good topic, just because our experience with this surely had to be varied between us..

I have my bras fitted by the lady at the lingerie shop.. so they fit perfectly, as I had a bit of back pain from wearing the wrong bras.. so I recommend bra fitting, if youre comfortable with that:).. and tnx for all of your support, and sweet comments...XOX:)

Actually, you are right as your weight shifts over you may decrease in breast volume.
And of course when my boobs dropped after post op care I went to get fitted for the proper bra immediately.
I love something that holds them up and I dont feel the weight, but sometimes I let them loose in a soft support shirt. I was on HRT since like december 12 2006 and loved every moment of it.

And yes hitting them was so painful, especially you are not aware that your chest is sensitive and seem to hit it purposely.
